He passed colorful storefronts, vendors selling their wares, and people of all ages coming and going as he made his way to the inn.





This inn was an old two-story building with a cobbled pathway leading up to its entrance. Its walls were painted a faded yellow and were covered in ivy and vines that give it an inviting rustic feel. There was a large wooden door with a brass knocker, and there were several windows on the first floor that illuminate the space inside. The roof was a deep red and was topped with clay tiles that give off a warm, comforting feeling.

Ye Kai stepped inside the inn and saw a cozy, rustic space with wooden furniture, colorful rugs and tapestries, and a fireplace in the corner. An elderly man with a friendly face was tending to the fire, while several travelers were lounging around the room enjoying conversation and a tankard of ale.

Ye Kai didn't see much of this and moved upstairs to the first floor of the inn, he moved to the second door and as he was about to open the door he stopped.

"Probably, I should knock," Ye Kai muttered and he knocked on the door.

After a short moment, a sweet voice sounded from another side of the door.

"Come inside."

Ye Kai smiled and entered inside and he saw a Sakura leaning against the window looking outside, her pink hair cascading down like a soft waterfall. Her lips were pressed together in a tight line while her eyelashes fluttered in the breeze. She was wearing a yellow dress that hugged her body in all the right places, her arms were crossed over her chest to accentuate her curves. The sunlight illuminated her figure and created a serene atmosphere.

Ye Kai saw Sakura's hatred for him decrease by one percent.

'Probably because of I knock on the door' Ye Kai thought and was glad he knock on the door. He saw Sakura walk over to her bed where there was a bag.

"Let's go, and please behave properly," Sakura said strictly, "It's king we are going to meet, even though he doesn't mind unslightly behavior, it's better we act professional business people."

"Okay, don't worry about it, I'm expert in acting you know right," Ye Kai smirked and said.

"Yeah, you are one of actor," Sakura sighed and said.

After Ye Kai and Sakura went outside of the inn, under the blazing sun Ye Kai and Sakura walked on the street, attracting many gazes from people.

They two didn't mind and walked to their carriage, and the carriage started going forward.

"How long it will take to reach the capital city?" Ye Kai asked.

"Six hours, so we will rest today and go and meet king tomorrow," Sakura answered.

"So it means it will take me two days to get back home." Ye Kai thought.
