Chapter 81 Act Normal

Villain Ch 81. Act Normal

Deciding to swallow it, since they still had more time before the event, they went hunting. Of course, at the Tower of Power again. It was a bit boring, but they had to endure it at least until they reached level 50 before they could hunt freely on different maps. And they predicted it would be easy for them especially since the game event gave them a lot of EXP. It was a good thing since more players would join the game and they believed the pro players already had their own hunting tactics.

Alice, Bella, and Larissa also joined them. Allen simply used his Soul Siphon to refill his HP and DP again before the hunt started.

During the hunting time, several times Alice and Bella caught Larissa and Jane stole a glance at Allen. Not really obvious, but it was quite catchy. For sure, Alice and Bella decided not to say a word.

Previously, they had heard Jane's explanation of what had happened between her and Allen that morning. It seemed like there was something more than just a passing attraction between them. Especially for Jane. They didn't know about Allen since he hadn't said a word.

And then there was Larissa, who had met Allen accidentally at the GYM. It was no wonder that there was a spark between them.

It wasn't hard to see why, either. Allen was handsome with a body that was sculpted like a work of art. His chiseled abs and toned muscles were perfect and the desire of every woman. His voice was like silk, smooth and soothing, and it had the power to make some girls' imaginations run wild. Or even made them bend their knees and unfasten his belt without him saying 'please'.

But it wasn't just his looks that made him so desirable. There was something about him that made him a mix between a daddy type and boyfriend material, which made it difficult for anyone to resist his charm. His personality, The fact that he was still single was nothing short of a miracle.

They fought their way through wave after wave of monsters, their weapons clashing against the thick hide of their enemies. They went deep to the first floor and slaughtered all the monsters that got in their way. They worked together seamlessly, each member using their unique skills and abilities to support one another. The EXP may have been a bit slow to come, but the drop items and coins flowed swiftly into their inventory. It was much better than the first time they entered the tower. It was because the level gap between them and the monsters was getting thinner.

With the full party of members by their side, facing the monster horde was no longer the challenge it once was. They had each other's backs, and their combined strength made quick work of any obstacle that stood in their way. But even with their newfound power, they knew better than to underestimate the dangers that lurked in the Tower of Power.

Despite their curiosity about the second floor, they decided to hold off on exploring it until after the event was over. They had more pressing matters to attend to, after all. The announcement about the sudden event had sent shockwaves of excitement through the game, and they knew that they couldn't afford to let their guard down.

Five minutes after the announcement, they received a message from Kafra. She had heard whispers among the game masters that the event was going to be bigger than they had initially anticipated. They were excited, but also a little nervous. This was going to be their biggest challenge yet.

Due to the excitement, the game developer even decided to give out 20 treasure boxes to the players in each dungeon. Of course, only one of those boxes would contain the jackpot, but even the other boxes contained valuable potions and dishes that could temporarily raise their status. It was an opportunity too good to pass up, especially since taking additional cooking skills required a player to have at least level 45 and complete a difficult quest to gather rare ingredients.

The group's adrenaline was pumping as they continued to hunt through the Tower of Power. The thrill of the game coursed through their veins, making their movements lightning-fast and their reactions razor-sharp. They had been at it for what felt like hours of satisfaction hunting.

As the clock ticked down and the time left before the event began dwindled to just fifteen minutes, they knew that they needed to make their way back to Cursed Crypts. They needed to be prepared for the real challenge that awaited them. Once they had arrived at the Cursed Crypts, there was one room that they always made sure to visit first: the NPC room.

They entered the NPC room and the group was immediately struck by the sight of a lone figure standing off to one side. Her blue hair fell down like a waterfall, and her piercing red eyes were fixed intently on the status screen in front of her. It was clear that she was in the process of distributing her status and skill points, a task that required careful consideration and attention to detail. It was Shea.

Without further ado, they approached her.

"Hey there, Shea," Allen greeted her warmly, a friendly smile spreading across his face.

Shea started at the sound of her name, her heart pounding in her chest. She quickly knew who he was. To be honest, she wasn't ready to face him yet, especially after what she had just experienced after that morning hunt. But she tried to hold her composure, not wanting to let on that anything was amiss.

She turned toward him and smiled. "Allen," she replied, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside. "It's good to see you again."

'Act normal, Shea. Just act normally. You're not a teenager,' she reminded herself. But she had to admit, it was harder than she thought.
