Chapter 84 Take Down The Emperor!

Villain Ch 84. Take Down The Emperor !

In the northwestern corner of Ront City, the capital of the magnificent Elenoria kingdom, a sea of players had amassed in front of a grand guard post. With their avatars standing at attention, they awaited the chance to enter a secret dungeon.

Two NPCs, adorned in the regal garb of the royal guard, towered over the eager players. With their stern faces and unwavering gazes, they served as the guardians of this portal, tasked with deciding who was worthy of entry.

Today, however, the normally tranquil atmosphere surrounding the guard post was imbued with an electrifying buzz of excitement. Players from all corners of the cities converged on this location, eager to participate in the highly anticipated event. The promise of the ultimate reward was simply too tantalizing to resist.

And what a reward it was! The treasure chests that awaited those who proved their mettle contained none other than +7 basic armor, a highly coveted item of the most superior quality. The mere thought of such a prize was enough to send shivers down the spines of the assembled crowd.

As the players gathered around the guard post, a soldier NPC stepped forward, his armor clanking as he moved. His face was stern, his eyes flickering with a hint of apprehension.

"Greetings, adventurers," he called out, his voice ringing out over the excited chatter of the crowd. "Welcome to Ront's Underground Dungeon. I am here to warn you of the dangers that await you inside."

He paused. "This dungeon is not for the faint of heart. The devil emperor and his subordinates that roam within its depths are fierce and relentless. They will stop at nothing to prevent you from obtaining the treasures that lie hidden here."

The soldier NPC's words seemed to strike a chord with the players, their expressions growing more serious as they listened to his warning.

"But fear not," he continued, his tone softening slightly. "For those of you who are brave enough to venture forth, I have a gift for you."

Reaching into a pouch at his side, the soldier NPC produced a small crystal, glowing with an eerie light. "This is an Invisible Crystal," he explained. "It will allow you to become invisible to the devil emperor. Use it wisely, and it may just save your life."

Handing the crystal to the first player in line, the soldier NPC nodded solemnly. "Good luck to you all. And remember, be careful down there."

With that, he stepped back, and a bright light enveloped the players as they were teleported into the dark and treacherous depths of Ront's Underground Dungeon.

Amidst the throngs of players gathered at the guard post, three familiar figures stood out in the crowd. Mac, Gil, and Yora, the trio of skilled players, had returned once again to take on the challenges of Ront's Underground Dungeon.

This time, however, they were not alone. This time it wasn't just the three of them, he had also managed to recruit several skilled players as his party and his friend, the candidate of the member of his future guild, a player with skills that matched their own.

But while most of the players were eagerly anticipating the chance to claim the treasure boxes hidden within the dungeon, Mac and his companions had another goal in mind. They were determined to take down the Devil Emperor and his subordinates, no matter the cost.

Their plan was risky, and many had warned them of the dangers of such an endeavor. But the trio had never been ones to shy away from a challenge, and they were determined to see it through to the end.

They had talked about it and were interested in doing so once the game showed new information about their opponent on their website. So, if the boss monster in the dungeon or something like that could drop important equipment from class high to rare. The devil emperor and his subordinates were the only opponents who could drop epic-class equipment. Each of them had its own drop, from magic accessories, headgear, gloves, and shoes to scarves. But the one that was most important was of course the weapons and armor that could only be obtained from defeating the devil emperor. This caught Mac and the others' attention since based on the information on the website, although they didn't write down the level, they did leave a small note that the devil emperor's level and power were adjusted according to the average player in the game. So, they should still be able to do that.

Mac turned to his party, his eyes scanning each member's face with a sense of seriousness. "Listen up, everyone," he said, his voice low and grave. "We're heading into dangerous territory here. If you're not careful, you could end up dead."

The other players nodded in agreement; their expressions grim. They knew the risks involved in taking on the devil emperor and his subordinates, but they were determined to see it through to the end.

"But if that does happen," Mac continued his tone firm, "you need to be prepared to enter the dungeon again immediately. We can't afford to waste any time if we're going to take down the devil emperor."

The others nodded once again, their expressions resolute. They knew that every second counted in this game, and they were prepared to do whatever it took to claim victory.

They were level 30 now. That was the result of their grind from the afternoon. It was fast since all of them didn't go to Ilude's Underwater Dungeon for leveling. They knew that the place was packed with players, so they moved to another, quieter place, Eyon. That village was at least 6 maps away from Ilude town and Ront City. They even had to pass through the Gorroc desert first before getting there.

Even though the place wasn't as big as the others, it was filled with beautiful trees and the NPC also sold quite a lot of goods. And more than all that, there was a dungeon there and the dungeon was barely known by others. The dungeon was filled with mushroom monsters, mid-level slimes, and bats. It really suited them.

They even only found two or three groups while hunting there, so they could hunt faster than the others and the item drop was good. If it wasn't for the event, they probably wouldn't have returned to Ront City.
