Hua Tang pursed her lips and had no intention of arguing with her. She was about to walk around Bi Ying’er and leave, but Bi Ying’er blocked her path.

“Don’t think I’m unaware of the sordid affairs you’ve been hiding!” Bi Ying’er’s eyes were vicious as she continued, “Hua Tang, you know very well how you signed this contract! I can’t believe a young woman like yourself would resort to such means. You pulled out all the stops. Let’s see how long that’ll last you.”

Hua Tang turned and stared at her, her eyes shining with anger.

Usually, she had a gentle smile and treated others generously. She rarely had such a severe expression; Hua Tang seemed like a completely different person.

Bi Ying’er involuntarily took two steps back.

“You’re asking how I got this contract?” Hua Tang seethed, stressing each word. “I got it through my own abilities! I stayed up all night for a week and revised the sales plan countless times. After reading it, Mr. Wang was very satisfied, so he signed and sealed the contract! Go ahead and investigate; I’ve got nothing to hide.”

“Your inability to complete this job in three months proves you’re incompetent! Stop blaming others for working harder instead of looking at yourself!”

“You…” Hua Tang was red-faced and near speechless in anger.

Their quarrel had attracted an audience, and seeing things getting out of hand, they moved to separate the two, but Bi Ying’er wouldn’t budge. Hua Tang was also unwilling to suffer such absurd humiliation and insisted on taking the matter up with the director.

Yin Zhaoyang’s gaze was glued to Hua Tang.

She was usually quiet and soft, but she was like a thorny rose when she argued her point with Bi Ying’er; she was lively and passionate.

The contrast was a little exciting, and Yin Zhaoyang’s heart itched even more at the novel experience.

He smiled and said, “It’s almost noon. TangTang, I’ll treat you to a meal as an apology. Surely you won’t reject me?”
