CH 34

Qiu Wuji opened her mouth, then closed it again.

She realized that she didn’t really know much about Chu Ge.

Putting aside everything else, she didn’t even know his specific age, who was in his family, what he did before writing, or what his hobbies were.

She knew nothing at all.

But why should she know?

Did she really have to be in tune with his thoughts and feelings? Did she misunderstand something?

Feeling a bit frustrated, she said, “I’m going back to my room.”

Chu Ge watched her leave and rubbed his chin.

What did that attitude mean?

“Uh, wait a minute.” Chu Ge caught up with her. “It’s already late, let’s go out for dinner first?”

Qiu Wuji stopped and turned her head with a hint of sarcasm. “I thought you were going to ask me to cook first.”

Chu Ge shook his head. “That’s why I said you don’t understand me.”

He turned and walked outside the housse “I won’t deny that having you cook for me satisfies some of my desires, and I really like it…very, very much. But you’re not my maid. You just came back after working so hard, why would I ask you to cook for me?”

Qiu Wuji said, “Why are you walking so fast just to look like you have an imposing manner?”

Chu Ge: “?”

Didn’t she understand him very well?

With a loud slam, Qiu Wuji closed the door and rustled around for a while before finally coming out in her OL outfit, saying with a straight face, “Let’s go.”

Chu Ge looked strange, “Your clothes haven’t been washed.”

Qiu Wuji said indifferently, “I used purification technique.”

“It still looks dirty.”

“What’s it to you?” Qiu Wuji snorted, “This is my only set. Haven’t you already taken enough money from me? I could buy a few more sets if necessary.”

Chu Ge readily agreed, “Okay, after we eat, we’ll go buy some. Buy a few different types…”

Qiu Wuji gave him a sideways glance, “What types? Cat ears? Maid outfits?”

Chu Ge was astonished, “How do you know…about those things?”

“I know now. Those short skirts and black stockings are obviously some people’s special fetishes. It’s disgusting,” Qiu Wuji said with anger, “You lied to me saying it’s normal!”

Chu Ge rolled his eyes and took a step back, quickly leaning against the door. He had a face that expressed “afraid.jpg” as he said, “Um… you suggested the black stockings yourself.”

Qiu Wuji gritted her teeth, “Move aside. What are you doing standing in front of the door?”

Chu Ge was easily pushed aside as Qiu Wuji strode out the door. He sighed and followed behind her, “I shouldn’t have let you surf the internet. You learn things too quickly. It’s really strange how you can accurately search for other people’s fetish?”

Qiu Wuji’s face turned slightly red, almost imperceptibly. It wasn’t like she searched for those things specifically. She just watched videos on those sketchy websites and read the comments section. People on those sites just openly revealed everything, and she had seen a lot of it.

It really was like opening the door to a new world. Who could have thought that there were people so obssessed with cat ears and tails? And there were even worse things…

The elevator arrived, and the two of them went in without saying a word. Qiu Wuji finally muttered, “You used my clothes for something I can’t even say. I can’t wear this outfit anymore.”

How can there still be perverts in the world who like to wear other people’s clothes so intimately? What’s the practical meaning of that?

“?” Chu Ge almost jumped in the elevator, “When did I do anything indecent with your clothes?”

Qiu Wuji turned her head, not believing him at all.

The stockings were all rolled up into a mess, and you’re telling me you didn’t do anything?

“I really didn’t!”

“Uh huh, you didn’t.” Qiu Wuji didn’t bother to argue with him, and changed the subject: “Have you encountered any trouble these past few days? The neighbor across the hall?”

“I…forget it.” Chu Ge was also too lazy to argue about this inexplicable issue. He wondered why Qiu Wuji was acting so strange. If she was so sure he did something like that, shouldn’t she beat him up?

Huh…

“I’m asking you a question!”

“Oh, no, she said she’s moving out.”

Qiu Wuji nodded slightly, “Let her go if she wants to.”

“How about if she didn’t express her intentions, have you figured out how to deal with her?”

“If we need to threaten her, we’ll threaten her to leave. If we need to erase her memory, we’ll erase her memory. She really hasn’t offended us, but as you said, I’m capable of leading a faction, so why should I care about this woman’s kindness?” Qiu Wuji said plainly, “I listened to you before on many things because I thought you had a better understanding of this world and your judgment was better than mine, not because I had to follow your words.”

Chu Ge sighed, “I feel like you’ve become more stubborn since you came back this time…”

To be precise, her resistance to the plot of fighting for domination became stronger, and she wanted to highlight her self-awareness more… Previously, when she beat him up, there was still a bit of flirtatiousness, but now the change was too obvious.

Chu Ge knew in his heart that it was not worth arguing with her over such a fleeting mood.

He smiled and said, “How about we have hotpot today?”

Qiu Wuji’s expression changed slightly, “On such a hot day…”

“With air conditioning, any weather can be like spring.” Chu Ge pulled her hand and walked towards the hotpot restaurant. “We can cook other dishes at home, but hotpot is something that few people make at home. Let’s give it a try.”

Qiu Wuji looked at him holding her hand, her eyes slightly lowered, but she didn’t say anything.

She couldn’t remember the first time he had held her hand. What was the occasion?

She couldn’t recall; she had probably been thinking about something else at the time.

But she was paying attention this time. Why didn’t she kick him away?

Maybe because he didn’t have any ulterior motives, and she was overthinking it by struggling to get away…

Before she could figure out a reason, they had already entered the hotpot restaurant.

Looking at the various dishes on the menu, Qiu Wuji realized that they really didn’t make this kind of food at home.

There were too many things to eat…

…..

As night fell, Moon Shadow walked into the Miracle Nightclub, donning a ghost-face mask and making her way through a hidden elevator that led to the underground black boxing arena.

She depended on this for a living.

Fighting in black boxing matches didn’t earn much money; most of it was taken by the organizers. She only received a portion of the winnings from her matches, which wasn’t much. If she got injured, she couldn’t afford the medical bills.

But it was the only thing she knew how to do.

“Ding!” The elevator opened, and the deafening noise from the crowd flooded in.

Heavy metal music blared, and the fans on the surrounding stands had grotesque and wild expressions, screaming fanatically, “Moon Shadow! Moon Shadow! Tear them apart!”

Her winning rate was too high, and she had a lot of supporters.

Some people wanted her to lose a match and offered her more money.

But…

That would be very painful.

Moon Shadow lifted her head slightly and looked towards a side VIP booth. There was a glass wall there, and she couldn’t see the person behind it.

But she knew what he looked like.

He was a slender and refined man with icy glasses and a cold gleam in his eyes.
