Chapter 175 Proposal.
The next day, early in the morning, unbeknown to herself, Zhou Liying was eagerly looking forward to the proposal of Mu Yuehan.

She took a long breath and made her way toward the door. She opened it, feeling curious as to what she was going to see.
"Miss, HanHan has sent some balloons and a red velvet cake for you." She heard the voice of Min Yue. Min Yue held many heart-shaped balloons in one hand and a heart-shaped red velvet cake in another.
Zhou Liying froze when she looked at the balloons and cake. Suddenly, her heart turned heavy with suffocation and longing. She felt as if she had seen this scene before but the person carrying the cake was someone else.
Her heart thumped hard in her ribcage and she started to breathe hard. Black, blurry images came into her mind of a man kneeling on one knee, with a cake in his hand and vibrantly smiling at her, with all the love in his eyes.
Unbeknown to her, a tear escaped her eyes.
"Miss, are you alright?" Min Yue looked at her with concern when she noticed that Zhou Liying was whitening with each passing second. She was also having trouble in breathing.
"I am alright. I am alright." Zhou Liying closed her eyes and took a few breaths. She patted her chest, trying to control her heart.
With concern, Min Yue looked at Zhou Liying. She placed the cake and balloons on the couch and rushed inside the penthouse to retrieve a glass of water for Zhou Liying.
Zhou Liying gulped down the water in one sip and took a few deep breaths.
"Miss…." Min Yue was about to say something but Zhou Liying interrupted her. "Leave all this here. Let's go to the office. We are getting late."
Without looking at the cake or balloons, Zhou Liying turned toward the kitchen, in need to drink some more water. Min Yue felt bad when she saw the cold behaviour of her miss.
Without waiting for any second, she stored the cake in the refrigerator in the kitchen of Zhou Liying and the balloons with the card in the living room, for Zhou Liying to see upon returning home after work.

"There is an emergency." Min Yue barged into the room of Zhou Liying with a worried expression on her face, interrupting her meeting.
Zhou Liying dismissed her subordinates and action to Min Yue to speak.
"Someone has slandered you online. I don't know how but this reporter knows about your bad deeds from London." Min Yue gulped and hurriedly passed her I-pad to Zhou Liying.
The eyes of Zhou Liying darkened when she looked at an article written about her. The author slandered her for her ways of doing work. She called her a whore who was able to reach this height of business by sleeping with her clients.
The author also pinpointed the name of some of the businessmen who suffered in past, in her hands. The author also raised her voice on the origin of Zhou Liying, asking from where Zhou Liying came in the Zhou family, four years back.
Zhou Liying clenched her jaws when she read the said article. Her eyes turned red with anger. She roughly threw the I-pad aside in her anger.

"Miss, the author has used a very encrypted source to upload this article. So, it will take me some time to get it removed." Liam reported. "I tracked down the author though. Will you like for me to call her?"
"Make a call to her and warn her to remove this article immediately." Zhou Liying's eyes narrowed when she heard that the article was posted by a tight encrypted source and that it was going to take her team some time to remove it.
"She will like to talk with you." Liam passed his phone to Zhou Liying and she accepted it.
"Do you know who I am? How dare of you to write an article about me?" Zhou Liying yelled the moment she accepted the phone.
"And who told you, I don't know you? I know you well, Miss Zhou. In fact, I was following you for the last two years. In today's article, I have only written some details but I also have photos of you enjoying yourself in a bar or your hotel."
Zhou Liying heard a very confident voice from the other side of the phone. She clenched the phone tight in between her fingers.
"What do you want?" she gritted her teeth.
"What do I want? Let me see," she heard a chuckle from the other side. "I want to see your end. I want to see you lose. I want to see you suffer."
And with that, the line went dead. Zhou Liying groaned and threw the phone in the direction of Liam. She then heard from him, "we tracked her location. What are the orders?"
"I will be going there. I want to see the bitc* who sounded so confident when talking to me. She wants to see me suffer, let me bring her end to her."
