Luke: “Shut up! Stop bothering usーーー!”
While we were collecting the Dodorian, several Alien-wannabe’s attacked us.
One time, they jumped right in front of me, and I instinctively pulled out my [Lightning God and Fire Mithril Sword] and swung it without thinking.
I was able to slice him too easily as lightning and fire swallowed it whole.
During that time, we collected enough Dodorian and filled up the Alchemy BOX to the brim.
If I close the lid, we can’t even smell it anymore.
Luke: “Okay, let’s go home.”
Sia: “Yeaー”
Boris: [Pehー]
Gina: [Peh-peh～]
Hannah: [Beh～]
Once we returned to the shore, I saw Kumi and Kurasuke playing together in the shallows.
Kurasuke: [Oh, momma. Luke is back]
Kumi: [Oh, welcome back, Mr. Luke. Were you able to collect a lot of those Dodorians you were mentioning?]
Luke: “Yeah, we got a lot. Oh, I guess since you guys live in the ocean, you wouldn’t know much about the food on land, right?” Kumi: [Yes, we typically only eat fish.]
Would it be okay if they ate it? Would it cause any stomach pains if they do? I asked Kumi about this, and she told me that they should be fine.
Kumi: [On the ships, they sometimes have animals from the land. It is rare for us to eat it, but there are times when we do.]
Luke: “Ohhh, then would you like to try this?”
I took out one of the smelly fruits from the BOX.
Kurasuke was very curious at firstーーbut…
Kurasuke: [It sh-mells!]
Luke: “Yeah…..I guess the smell would bother you too. I think it smells pretty bad too.”
Kurasuke: [Is that really food?!]
Luke: “Yeah, technically it is.”
Kurasuke really doesn’t like the smell.
Next time, I’ll just have to bring him more regular fruits.
Next, we were taken to the forest where the Mothra Kaiko live, and I opened the lid to the Alchemy BOX and waited there.
Sia: “Uーk, they’re here.”
Luke: “That was fast.” [ZUMOMOMOOooーーー]
Attracted by the stench, 5 Mothra Kaiko appeared.
But seeing us, they wavered and fluttered their wings nervously.
[ZーZumo, Zumomo～]
Hannah: [Beh～ Beh-beh-behー, Beh～eh]
[Zumo?! Zumomo]
Looks like they began some sort of negotiation.
If that’s the case, I took out a Dodorian from the BOX and threw it towards the Mothra Kaiko.
I need to wash my hands later.
The Dodorian arched towards one, and one caught the fruit in midair.
It held the fruit and looked back at me.
It tilted its head at me as if to ask, “You’re really giving this to me?”
Oh, shoot. It’s kind of cute.
Though it is a moth, the wings are very colorful, and from a glance, it can pass as a butterfly.
Luke: “Yeah, it’s okay to eat that. But can I have some thread in return?”
[Zumo]
Hannah: [Beh～beh]
Sia: “Uーk, take out all the Dodorian in the BOX and catch all the thread inside of it.”
Luke: “Sia, you can understand what the Mothra Kaiko said?” I took out all the Dodorian out of the BOX, and as they rolled away, the Mothra Kaiko grabbed and took them two at a time.
Sia: “No～ Hannah is translating～ Sia understands Magic Beasts’ words, but other Monsters words, no.”
Luke: “But Hannah can understand?” Sia: “Hannah has lived on this island for a long time, so she says she understands～”
Is it like learning another language? Something like that?
But there are still lots of Dodorian left over. I think there were maybe 10 or less Mothra Kaiko at this point.
ーーuntil one of them howled [ZUMOOOOOOoooonnーー] and after a moment, about 30 of its companions all arrived.
[Zumo]
Luke: “OーOkay! Could you put the thread inside here?”
[Zumomoーー]
And each Mothra Kaiko spat out about 2 soccer ball’s worth of thread each.
I wonder if this would be enough……….I’ll need to make some precise measurements on how big the fish farm will be ー like the depth and width.
Luke: “If there’s not enough, can we come here again? Of course, we’ll bring the Dodorian too.”
[Zumo]
Hannah: [Beh～]
Sia: “They say, yea.” A slightly larger Mothra Kaiko came and offered out its hand.
Whoa?! It knows how to do handshakes?!
And……this hand…….it sort of has fingers.
[Zumomomo]
Hannah: [Beh～ beh-beh]
Sia: “Humans build friendship this way. Mothra knows is what it’s saying.]
Luke: “Wow. It’s pretty smart. Okay then, we’ll come back here with more Dodorian for thread. Thank you”
And I established a friendly alliance with the Mothra Kaiko.

So, I am now offering the second round of Dodorian to the Mothra Kaiko for the day.
Today, my interpreter is Gina. Shina and Boss are also here with us.

Sia: “About 30 years ago, those guys began living in that area. They were living more north before that.”

Sia: “Since the island had no more Adventurers, their numbers increased a lot, he says.”

The next day, you could hear the howls of the Aliens in the Dodorian Forest.
