Chapter 101 - Failed Rebellion

The awakened will perceiving the two dangerous clashing creatures on its body was frightened, although their clash was the source of its birth, it knew they would also inseparably become the source of its death and so like any other life struggling to survive it did the needful, it rebelled against its creators.

Unfortunately, such rebellion was short-lived, it quickly found out it did not have the strength to perform any action and its early movement had drawn the attention of the two figures clashing, both of them set out to destroy the will that had intruded on their battle, the rudimentary form of plane source energy exerted miraculous effects and with a low hum and a blinding light the situation changed and their forms diverged, the island spread out becoming a chaotic nascent world, the rules were attached to the plane itself and the authority brought about by the rules were shared between them both.

Layton grabbed authority of the air and every energy in it while his other-self grabbed the authority of the earth, that is the previous island on their feet and merged with it.

Layton turned into a ball of pure psionic energy in the material world his form resembled a sun shining down on the prehistoric earth, the other-self devoured the very earth and incarnated as a planet, even in their new forms the clash continued.

Their thoughts divided into countless incarnations forming countless creatures the psionic sun irrigated the surroundings giving life and sentience to the elements not attached to the earth countless spirits made of air, wind lightning and other elemental effects were born.

While from the depths of the earth countless aberration made of flesh and earth emerged, a chaotic confluence of rock and soil turned to flesh and magma turned to blood.

Their new forms were laborious and difficult to move, so it was now a race against time to see who adapted first in the meantime their various dependents started their clash inheriting their creators battle.

The aberration from the earth perfectly depicted a peculiar rule a chaotic evolutionary rule birthed from life's desire to survive as they crazily burned vitality splitting themselves, changing forms evolving rapidly trying to stand against the various attacks exerted by their foes, with every death the aberration memories and experience were perfectly packaged and inherited by the newborn making the aberration slowly becoming more perfect and restrained against the spirits attack, their forms gaining a trace of similarity as a burning glow always encompassed them a sign of the ignition of their overflowing vitality and a symbol of their race.

Meanwhile, their foes who noticed their rapid evolution were not worried after all they too were undergoing changes of their own slowly adapting to their form, every spirit birthed from Layton was essentially immortal as long as the sun was still shining they would never die and their energy was endless, soon the spirits became closely connected their rudimentary elemental form becoming more streamlined taking up an angelic form based on their creator's memories, their fragmentary inherited memories branded in their souls merging together to form a network allowing all of them to grow at the same time essentially becoming a cluster yet indecent, creating a ring like halo on each of their heads a symbol and conduit showing the invisible psionic connection between them all.

If someone were to see this scene they would think of it as a mythological memory of the battle between good and evil, angels and demons, chaos and order.

As time went by in the what seemed to be never ending battle the two races grew more and more adept with their powers, a few angels had grown stronger becoming leaders of the race able to manipulate the authority of the sky bestowed on them, the sky had become their domain, their legendary field.

The demons also had some individuals who were noticeably stronger than the rest digging deep into their chaotic cell consciousness they were able to manipulate various aspects of the authority of the earth, the ground beneath their feet becoming their permanent domain.

After a few more battles Like a planned rehearsal the earth and heavens quaked, the earth collapsing the numerous demons birthed from it dissolving like melted wax affixing themselves to the squirming earth.

The ever bright sun became even brighter its blinding energetic rays erasing all the angels from existence, the shining lights soon converged as its luminous surface collapsed on itself taking in all the light and energy it could swallowing throwing the nascent world into darkness.

From the depths of the dark cloud a spark emerged like a fire had been ignited on an oil filled surface, light and heat rose again this time not in the form of a sun but a vague humanoid form overflowing with enormous psionic energy, with its inhalation countless energies in the nascent world was absorbed and with its exhalation the overflowing psionic energy waves were released essentially dyeing the world in its colours.

As soon as the humanoid form emerged the earth also completed its transformation, the numerous rock and soil were squished down to the core of the planet, the numerous chaotic thoughts polling together to form a whole, the planets rock and soil slowly overflowing with vitality becoming flesh as the whole planet deformed to take on a human form, a form so oppressive and with such power that as soon as it appeared it seemed the nascent world sank unable to easily support its weight and strength.

Layton's form was basically one that utilized the universe for itself a rudimentary path, a cycle of giving and taking in which as the world grows he too would grow while his other-self embodied a form of self-sufficiency, no matter the changes in the outside world it wouldn't affect him as he himself was basically a miniature world on its own.

If anyone saw this scene they would be very surprised, the aura coming off them and their action all pointed to one thing they were unconsciously already performing a rudimentary attempt at seeking their own path to detachment, that is the 4th stage of practice.

Even Makarov who was watching this scene was amazed, it wasn't as if he hadn't seen various geniuses before but it was very rare to have someone at extraordinary stage have a rudimentary path to detachment already figured out, even if there were other factors that led up to this rudimentary path it was still amazing nonetheless, most individuals in Layton's scenario would only be able to simulate up to deity stage which was Makarov expected, even though they both progressed at amazing speed to the deity stage, Makarov was not expecting any more but now the appearance of this rudimentary path exceeded his expectation, even for traversers and reincarnations who had foreign memories this was an unprecedented feat, Makarov would know after all he could be considered one of the so called traversers.
