Bei Nuan asked Lu Xingchi, "Have you found any clues for that symbol?"
Lu Xingchi shook his head. "I looked everywhere, and I didn't see that symbol anywhere else. The people that brought us here aren't on the island today. I heard that they won't be back until tomorrow."
If they left the island now, they had to give up on their only clue. That would be unfortunate.
"Let's feed him to the zombies then." Bei Nuan kicked Uncle Shi. "That way we can stay on the island for a few more days."
Lu Xingchi hesitated. To stay here for a few more days, they had to keep up appearances, which meant that he couldn't break Bei Nuan out of this place. She had to stay in this dangerous place.
"Come on, help me." Bei Nuan had made her decision. She stood up, walked out, and unlocked the other gate. She came back and started dragging Uncle Shi out.
"I'll do it." Lu Xingchi grabbed Uncle Shi by the collar and easily dragged him out and tossed him into the other room.
As if they had been injected with stimulants, the zombies were immediately excited when they saw a living human.
Du Ruo was right. The zombies looked ravenous.
The sound of the zombies slamming themselves against the cages woke up Uncle Shi. He looked and saw the indifferent Lu Xingchi and Bei Nuan, who was playing with his key ring. Uncle Shi struggled to speak. "Yes… He told me to come… It wasn't my choice…"

Bei Nuan hung the ring of keys back onto Uncle Shi's belt.
Uncle Shi sighed in relief when he saw Bei Nuan returning the key for the zombie cages. Immediately after, he saw Lu Xingchi walking to one of the zombie cages and lightly touching the lock on the cage door.
The lock opened and fell to the ground.
Lu Xingchi didn't need a key to open the zombie cage.
Uncle Shi's eyes widened in horror, and he made a loud noise from his throat like the zombies in the cages.
Lu Xingchi and Bei Nuan exited the room. Lu Xingchi turned the knob and locked the metal gate.
Uncle Shi was the only living person left in the room.
The metal bolt on the zombie cage smoothly slid open as if it was being pushed by an invisible hand. The cage door creaked open, and the zombie roared and rushed towards Uncle Shi, who was on the ground.
Neither of them were interested in watching a zombie devour a person.
Lu Xingchi didn't know what had happened before he came here. It was only after he helped her kill Uncle Shi that he asked her, "How did you end up here?"
How? Of course, she was abducted here by the Holy Mother's Heart task. But, she couldn't tell him that.
Bei Nuan didn't answer him and rushed to ask, "Did Little Shao tell you I was here?"
Lu Xingchi answered, "Yeah, Du Ruo was looking for you everywhere after you went missing, and he bumped into me. Little Shao said you told her to go up the mountain to find us. She couldn't find us on the mountain. She finally met us after a long loop around the island."
Bei Nuan asked him, "Did you pay her? I promised you would pay her."
Her focus was always on something odd.
Lu Xingchi was helpless when it came to her and patiently answered, "We did. Du Ruo gave her all of the money he had earned today. He said that you were more important than barbecued sparrows."
"Du Ruo is so good. But, he'll definitely have barbecued sparrows to eat." Bei Nuan proudly said, "I entered a zombie fighting cage today. I placed a bet on myself and won a ton of money!"
Lu Xingchi deeply frowned. "You entered a fighting cage? And killed a zombie?" And she learned to gamble?
Bei Nuan was quite excited. "Yeah, I was locked in a cage with a zombie and only had two bullets. It was so exciting and fun!"
