Chapter 133 - 133 Ch. 133 I Feel Blessed

133 Ch. 133 I Feel Blessed

“Xia Xia, relax a bit. You’re too tense.”

Anxia couldn’t help but scream in her heart and bit her lip in frustration.

“If you’re worried I’ll attack you, don’t be. Tonight I’m not going to do anything to you.”

It felt like Anxia wanted to dig a hole so she could hide in it. Her husband never missed an opportunity to make her push and lose badly, even before the game started.

“Relax. Hmm?” Richard stroked Anxia’s clenched fists as if persuading his wife to open her fists.

Soft strokes and loving whispers made Anxia relax her tense muscles. She will believe her husband’s words. After all, they couldn’t possibly do it in the car with their little daughter sleeping next to them. Because of that, Anxia lets herself lean comfortably in front of her husband’s sturdy body.

Slowly, her fists opened, and Richard’s fingers slipped between her fingers and held her hand.

Anxia felt wet kisses on her neck, making her close her eyes, enjoying the kisses on her neck.

“You said you wouldn’t attack me,” Anxia grunted and managed to hold back her delicious sigh due to Richard’s mischievous lips.

.....

“I won’t attack you, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop worshiping you.”

“Is this your way of dodging my previous question?”

“No. This is my way of answering your previous question.”

Anxia moved to shift her body slightly and tilted her body slightly to look straight at her husband. “What do you mean?”

Richard answered her question by kissing Anxia’s lips briefly, starting Anxia in shock.

“Tell me, what exactly are you worried about? Is my confession on the balcony not enough to answer your question? I’ll only love you, and I have never felt this strong for a girl. I don’t care what your past is like or your background. To me, you are my Anxia and my only Xia Xia.” once more, Richard kissed his wife, this time not as briefly as before.

“Are you still worried? Tell me; I will toss all your worries away,” he whispered in the middle of their kiss.

“I…” Anxia’s breath started to hitch because the kiss was so intoxicating that Richard’s tongue stroked above her lips. The man had yet to put his tongue in her mouth, but it was already overwhelming her like this. “I’m afraid you will leave someday.”

“I won’t.”

“That is not what I mean.”

“Then what do you mean?”

“Master Yu… he won’t just let me go. Right now, he might give up, but I know he will come back to hunt me. When that time comes, I don’t know what to do if… if he seizes you.”

Richard couldn’t hide his big smile at all. “You’re worried about me?”

Anxia gulped nervously, hearing her husband’s mischievous tone. “You are the last person I should worry about.” Anxia turned her head away, too proud to admit that she worried about her husband.

“Xia Xia,” Richard called affectionately as he tightened his embrace and buried his head into his wife’s neck crook. “I feel blessed today.”

Anxia glanced to the side only to find a happy smile plastered on her husband’s lips. Richard was especially in a good mood, which made Anxia confuse. She remembered earlier, ever since Richard came to her after clearing things up with Quinn, the man had not stopped smiling.

Recalling that Richard overheard all of her conversations with Quinn made Anxia feel so embarrassed that she couldn’t look at her husband directly.

Besides, where could her husband hear her conversation with Quinn?

“Richie, how did you hear my conversation with that woman?” Anxia felt her husband smile against the skin of her neck.

Richard lifted his head and rested his chin on his wife’s shoulder.

“From your phone. I can hear everything from it.”

“So you hacked into my phone and spied on me?”

“I wouldn’t have done it if you hadn’t disappeared without a word. Besides, how did you even find Quinn’s house? How did you find the antidote? I’ve been trying all day to find possible places to find Lori’s antidote, but I couldn’t. How did you do it?”

“Nothing. There were outsiders secretly helping us by dropping hints.”

“Outsiders?”

Anxia fished her phone from her bag and opened a coded file. After opening the code, two addresses appeared, one was Quinn’s temporary home address, and one was a place neither of them knew.

“What place is this?”

“I don’t know. But there’s only one guard, so it’s easy for me to go in and get the antidote. Apart from this vial, there are other bottles containing different liquids.”

“How do you know you took the right one?”

Anxia touched her phone screen and slid it to the left to display an image. The picture is a cylindrical tube with the same contents that Anxia took.

“Who sent you this?”

Anxia let her husband take her phone and trace the sender’s position or something she didn’t understand.

“Who knows? You know what’s even weirder?”

“What?”

“When I came to this place, many people had fainted and were locked in a warehouse. I’m also sure the guard guarding this place knows that intruders have visited the place he’s guarding, but he doesn’t even turn around or go inside to find out.”

“You mean he deliberately let you in to steal the thing he was guarding?”

“Sounds weird, doesn’t it? But I feel that way.”

Richard’s forehead furrowed at his wife’s explanation while he did not find any traces that could track the sender of the secret encryption code in his wife’s phone.

Not to mention, one of his digital assistant programs should have been aware of the foreign signal that hacked into his wife’s phone. Still, none noticed it, indicating this mysterious individual was not ordinary.

Could it be Loraine Shu?

Everything would make sense if the sender were Anxia’s birth mother herself.

Perhaps, his mother-in-law’s men silenced the real guards and locked them in the warehouse. In comparison, the guard outside the building was the older woman’s accomplice to make it look like someone was guarding the place.

If Loraine Shu was alive, why had she not shown herself?

Hhhhh… why is his wife’s background so complicated?

Richard didn’t mind his wife’s background or past, but he hoped that his mother-in-law wouldn’t be the hidden enemy who would separate him from Anxia.
