Anxia walked to the dining room to meet her mother with limp steps and a listless expression as if she had just been hit by bad news. Seeing Anxia’s concerned face, Loraine cheered inside. She had heard that Anxia had just been in Elliot’s room. The bugs in the room had indeed been out of action for a few minutes, but when they came back on, Loraine received word that Elliot had changed his mind and no longer wanted to leave this place.

“Did something happen? Why do you look lethargic?” quipped Loraine as she started eating her breakfast dish without waiting for Anxia.
