CH 2

Jiang Nian had waited a long time for his loved one to arrive. How could he let go easily? He held his husband tightly in his arms, pouting and shedding tears because his husband didn’t come to the hospital to see him right away.

“Darling, my head hurts so much.”

He looked up, staring at his man with his big, teary eyes, looking both pitiful and aggrieved.

Huo Chengyuan glanced at his son without a sound.

Huo Nianning opened his mouth wide, looking very shocked.

He knew his friend always seemed to come over when his dad was at home. It seemed like they had hooked up behind his back!

Huo Chengyuan saw this scene, but he only thought the boy was scared by the bandage on Jiang Nian’s head that was seeping blood.

But this couldn’t go on forever. He took back his gaze, patting the boy’s back and said, “Nian Nian, you got the wrong person.”

He knew the two kids didn’t want to come out publicly, but as an elder, it was really improper to be called “husband” by his son’s boyfriend.

“Husband…” Jiang Nian cried even harder at his words, tears falling down like broken pearls, “Do you not want me anymore?” He asked the man while choking.

“Dad, something seems off with Jiang Nian.” Huo Nianning snapped out of it, pointing at himself, “Jiang Nian, do you know who I am?”

“Wuwuwu, she’s about to be abandoned by her husband, how can she have the heart to look at other men QAQ.

Huo Nianning had no choice but to let his father handle it.

Huo Chengyuan noticed something was off with the boy from the beginning. He patted the boy’s back and saw that his emotions had stabilized a bit. He asked gently, “Nian Nian, who am I? Do you remember my name?”

Jiang Nian had tears in his eyelashes. Although he didn’t understand why his husband was asking this, he obediently answered, “I remember, you’re Huo Chengyuan, my husband.” His cheeks turned slightly red, and he felt a bit embarrassed after speaking.

Huo Chengyuan’s hand on the boy’s back paused for a moment, then he asked without changing his expression, “What about Nianning?”

“Nianning?” Jiang Nian looked at the man blankly.

He turned his head and looked at Huo Nianning. In less than a moment, he frowned and held his head in pain.

“Don’t force yourself if you can’t remember,” Huo Chengyuan helped him back to the bed, “I bought some porridge on the way here, do you want to drink some?”

Jiang Nian nodded, took the porridge bowl, and obediently drank it.

“During the period of the patient’s memory recovery, it is best not to expose him to too much stimulation, otherwise he may develop psychological problems, which could lead to permanent amnesia or even mental breakdown.”

Huo Chengyuan nodded and reassured the nervous boy before asking the doctor, “He seems to remember basic life knowledge and some of his past. Will this be helpful for his memory recovery?”

“Yes, it will,” the doctor confirmed.

“And what if he never recovers his memories?” asked Huo Nianning, who was standing to the side.

The young doctor pushed his glasses up again and said, “Actually, as long as it doesn’t harm society, it won’t affect daily life.”

Huo Nianning, who had suddenly become a step son, thought to himself, “Damn, what a mediocre doctor!”

“Husband, don’t you want me anymore?” Jiang Nian tugged on Huo Chengyuan’s clothes and asked with a pitiful expression as they left the doctor’s office.

Huo Chengyuan stopped and looked at the redness in the boy’s eyes with a warm voice, “Don’t overthink it. I don’t want to be without you.”

Jiang Nian smiled, but when he thought of what the man said in the office, he became sad again.

“I didn’t mistake you for someone else. You are my husband. We have been together for so long, even if I have amnesia, I can’t mistake you for someone else,” he said firmly.

Huo Nianning silently took out his phone and planned to record his friend’s death moment on social media.

Worried about upsetting the boy, Huo Chengyuan rubbed his head and said, “I was wrong.”

Finally, Jiang Nian was overjoyed that he could go home with her husband. His lips turned up into a smile and his steps became light and cheerful.

Ten minutes later, they were outside the hospital.

“You and Nian Ning wait here for a moment, I’ll go bring the car over,” Huo Chengyuan said to the boy following behind him.

“Okay,” the boy replied.

Jiang Nian held her backpack and nodded obediently.

“So, when did you start dating my dad?” Huo Nianning leaned in and whispered after watching his dad walk away.

Jiang Nian’s heart was pounding as she watched her husband’s tall figure. She snapped back to reality and scolded him, “That’s rude, call me ‘mom’!”

“Jiang Xiaonian, when you regain your memory, I will definitely make you die of shame on the spot!”

Jiang Nian, who had lost his memory, didn’t care about being ashamed. He was now focused on going home to prepare a delicious lunch for his dear husband.

After making his husband happy, he could be hugged and kissed by him (≧▽≦).

The car rushed forward, passing through unfamiliar streets, and finally stopped in front of a high-end residential building.

Huo Chengyuan originally wanted the two of them to go upstairs first while he parked the car in the garage, but seeing the boy beside him with a bright smile and an obvious desire to go with him, he changed his mind and said, “Ning, you go upstairs first, I’ll go park the car.”

Huo Nianning glanced back and forth between his father and friend, then opened the camera and took ten consecutive crazy shots of his friend’s shy and delicate profile before getting out of the car, feeling satisfied.

There was no trace of Jiang Nian’s previous life in the house. Father and son were worried that he would be traumatized and emotionally overwhelmed.

As Jiang Nian changed his shoes in the hallway, Huo Nanning stood nervously beside him, watching him closely. Huo Chengyuan also watched the boy’s every move carefully.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” Jiang Nian asked in confusion as Huo Nianning kept staring at him.

“Isn’t it strange that there are no slippers for you in the house?” Huo Nianning asked cautiously.

“Is it me who lost my memory, or is it you?” Jiang Nian looked at him like a fool. “Didn’t we just finish decorating the house? My things are still in the dormitory and haven’t been moved yet

Huo Nianning: “….”

Damn, his logic is sound, I can’t find any point to refute!

“You remember you’re a student? Then do you remember which university you attend and which dormitory building you live in?” Huo Nianning asked again.

Jiang Nian took out a meal card with “Nancheng University” printed on it from his pocket and shook his head innocently, saying, “I don’t remember.”

Huo Nianning: Damn, I got excited for nothing.

“Honey, I want to wear my little bunny slippers.”

After changing her slippers, Jiang Nian pattered to the man’s side, looking up at him with a cute smile and asked, “Can you help me move my luggage back home tomorrow?”

Huo Chengyuan replied, “Yes, and I’ll also help you take a few days off.”

The boy’s current state is not suitable for going to school, and his parents are also out of town, so it’s not very realistic to ask them to come and take care of him. However, his situation still needs to be explained clearly to the other party.

“Nian Nian, can you give me your family’s phone number so I can explain the situation here to your parents and reassure them?”

“Honey, did you forget?” Jiang Nian held his fingers and said with red eyes, “My parents don’t agree with us being together, and they kicked me out of the house. Besides you, I have no other family.”

Huo Nianning silently recorded everything on his phone: “….”

Your acting skills are good. If I didn’t know the truth, I would almost believe your lies →-→.

Author’s note:

Before amnesia-

Huo Nianning: “Why do you always want to come to my house? Don’t tell me you like me? Haha, I only like girls~”

Jiang Nian clenched his fists and said, “I like you, you idiot!”

Huo Nianning replied, “You’re so fierce, be careful you won’t find a partner in the future!”

After amnesia-

Jiang Nian pulled on the man’s clothes pitifully, “Honey, don’t go, I’m scared…”
