Chapter 154 - One Thing I Need You To Do

Samuel felt slightly more rested when he woke up the next morning. He would tell that it was bright outside, but wasn't sure of what time it was because he couldn't check his phone. As he began to wake up more, one of the first things that he realized was that Lena was no longer in bed with him. In fact, he wasn't all that certain where exactly she was when he opened his eyes to look around and noticed that she didn't appear to be in her room any longer. Did that mean that she decided to get back to regular life after last night.

Sitting up, he noticed though that the tray was still resting on the end table where he had left it the night which indicated that it was unlikely she had left the room as she would've taken it with her. Where was she then?

He didn't make it very far in trying to figure out where, when he realized that the bathroom door was closed and he could faintly hear the sound of running water coming from beyond the door. An indication that the princess was most likely taking a shower. Rather than putting his shoes on as he had originally intended to do, Samuel decided to lay back on the bed again and let for Lena to come out before he decided what to do until he knew what her intentions were.

It was a while before the princess came out changed into a dark blue blouse and black pants. She looked a lot more like her old self he noticed as she looked her over, except for the bags that were still visible under eyes and the way her lips were drawn into a thin line which indicated to him that she most likely didn't have a lot of patience today.

"Did you still not sleep at all last night?" Samuel asked as he looked at her, a touch of concern in his voice. She gave him an odd look in response to his question before she crossed her arms over her chest.

"No. I wasn't tired, plus someone thought that mushing me against them was the correct approach to trying to convince me that I needed to sleep." The look in her eyes said she was unamused as Samuel sat up while trying to remember what had happened after he laid down, but had no recollection of said event happening.

"I didn't think you would remember that." She commented as she turned way from to try and gather her things in the room. She wanted to to some tidying that hadn't been taking care for the last three almost four days since she had been shut in there.

"I'm sorry, I honestly have any memory of that happening. Because I woke up on the same side of the bed I had fallen asleep on, I figured I must've stayed that way. It wasn't on purpose." He apologized, feeling slightly bad that he had invaded her space like that while he had been asleep.

"I didn't say it was a bad thing. I was just making a remark on an event that happened which I presumed you wouldn't remember." She replied, glancing back at him as she picked up her jacket off the floor. She could tell by the weight of it that her gun was most likely still inside of it. She would worry about taking it out later. She wasn't sure if she would still need it after all.

"You didn't dislike it then?" he asked slightly confused as he began to put his shoes on so that he would follow Lena out when she was done as it seemed to him that she intended to work towards getting back to a somewhat normal routine.

"It's not something that I'm used to, nor am I sure when I will get used to it." She replied as she brushed her hair back, it was still damp which lead it to being difficult any time that she had to lean over to reach for something.

"Does that mean you wouldn't be against it happening again?" Samuel asked, he intended to hug her put was stopped when she put her hand out in front of her, a sign that she didn't want him to touch her right.

"I'm not against it, but for right now I would like to be able to keep my personal space to myself while I'm sorting other things out." She replied. He gave a small nod of his head in understanding although she could tell he was slightly dejected over her decision to reject the contact.

"Like you, I need time to get used to new things that I'm not familiar with. Plus, there's a lot that needs to be taken care of right now that affections will have to wait until a later time. I don't even know what I'm going to have to deal with." She told him with a sigh as she headed towards the bedroom door. She had been intending to grab the tray but Samuel took it from her.

"I can handle this. The first thing you should do is probably go and talk with your father and let him know how you're doing since he's also been rather worried about you." He told her which caused her to sigh.

"I know, and I will, just after I do some other things first." She replied as opened the door, holding it for the other as he stepped out with the tray.

"There are other people here I still need to deal with. I'm sure you have talked with your mother, but that there's still more that needs to be said before she leaves. Genson is also still here unless my father sent him away which is one other things I need to handle." She told him as she closed her bedroom door.

"The one thing that I need you to handle is texting or speaking with Jovani later. You can use my phone as I don't trust what I would end up saying to him in my current mood." Samuel laughed when she said this even though he knew that she was being quite serious.
