The forty students there were divided into four groups of ten people each. Shen Fei, Qian Yu, Aloy, and Luo Ying led a group each. They were, from this point forward, responsible for the safety of forty students.

Suddenly, a dense group of exotic beasts descended from the mountain peak. They were dark-gold in color, and looked like they were creatures made of metal. The beasts all had the usual trademarks of an enemy encounter—cold bloodthirsty eyes and sinister auras.
When they saw these exotic beasts that had suddenly appeared, everyone’s expressions changed.
“They’re Golden-armored Berserk Wolves!”
“I ddin’t expect the horde to come so quickly,” said one of the students.
“Everyone, prepare to fight,” Shen Fei shouted. “We don’t have much time. Once we clash with these wolves, you’ll all be in danger, so be careful!”
“Yes, sir!” Everyone responded in unison.
“Roar!” At that moment, the first wave of Golden-armored Berserk Wolves leaped at the group of students. The battle erupted in an instant.

Boom! Terrifying lightning bolts streaked across the sky and struck down on the rocky plateau.
Shen Fei dove out of the way so quickly his body was just a blur of movement. There were others who were a beat too slow. Some were struck and died on the spot. The rest of them were lucky to be alive.
There were quite a few that ended up lying on the ground. Their bodies were stained with blood and their clothes were torn. These students were seriously injured and were on the verge of death.
Shen Fei came to check on the group, “How are you all? Who’s still alive?”
“Instructor Shen, save us!” a few students begged.
“Don’t worry, I’ll do my best,” Shen Fei said solemnly. He took out a few healing pills and had the injured students swallow them. After that, he helped them sit in the usual meditative position so that they could circulate their cultivation techniques and recover with the help of the medicine.
Soon after that, another wave of exotic beasts appeared.
“Roar!” A two-meter tall Vajra Ape roared and charged at Shen Fei. It held a giant hammer in its hand and swung it down on him.

Rumble… The ground suddenly began to tremble. Cracks appeared in the ground and flames erupted from beneath them with terrifying energy. The area quickly became a lava purgatory, and it was unbearably hot.
The exotic beasts that had been chasing them were instantly burned to ash. Soon after, a ball of scorching lava was shot into the sky.
“What’s causing this?” The scene caused everyone’s faces to change. Their pupils shrank as they turned around.
The huge ball of lava that was shot out was currently floating in the air before the group. It emanated with destructive energy.
