Do You Still Hate Her? 12 – Chasing wife to the crematorium1

“Shang Lu!” Jiang Yi gritted his teeth and called out her name. The slap came suddenly, and the anger on his face was not well concealed.

Shang Lu’s face also showed annoyance and disdain, not hiding it at all. She continued, “Are you angry? Didn’t you want to make up with me? Can’t you bear a little grievance? Let me guess why, because you’re lying. You don’t really like me or want to choose me. Just like before, you only need me. You still haven’t realized the reality, thinking that as long as you lower your head slightly, I’ll come back like a dog. Am I right?”

Not at all wrong, or perhaps Shanglu directly exposed all of his unbearable thoughts.

Jiang Yi’s face remained ugly. Shang Lu didn’t hold back at all, leaving a red mark on his face.

Shang Lu stared at Jiang Yi’s face and made another comment, “Disgusting, the more I look at you, the more disgusting you become.”

Even the most handsome appearance, when combined with such a selfish and ugly soul, it only made her nauseous at this moment.

Shanglu didn’t want to pay any more attention to Jiang Yi and turned around to walk away.

But Jiang Yi didn’t give up.

He took two steps forward, grabbed Shang Lu’s wrist, and tried to stop her from leaving.

Shang Lu looked at Jiang Yi, rolled her eyes at him, and then raised her other hand fiercely, clenching it into a fist without hesitation, and directly struck his abdomen.

At the same time, another voice rang out, calling Shang Lu’s name.

Jiang Yi held her abdomen, bent over with an unpleasant expression on her face. Shang Lu awkwardly retracted his hand that was raised in the air, and Cheng Zhe, who had just shouted out but had a regretful expression on his face, stood not far away.

Cheng Zhe hesitated for a few seconds, then looked at Shang Lu and said, “The director said you should come early today to rehearse with me. You’re already half an hour late compared to the agreed time. Why are you wasting time here?”

Not to mention rehearsing, Cheng Zhe and Shang Lu don’t even have any scenes together in the entire script.

Originally, Cheng Zhe didn’t want to bother with Shang Lu’s affairs and planned to come out after they left. However, when he saw the man in front of him seemingly about to harm Shang Lu, he couldn’t help but step in to stop it.

But he never expected…

What he saw was the scene of Shang Lu fighting back against the man.

If he had known that she could defend herself and be so arrogant, why would he bother with this matter?

As Cheng Zhe approached and saw that the person in front of him was Jiang Yi, he regretted his impulsive actions even more.

The story of Shang Lu, Ning Lin, and this Jiang Yi in front of him, although he doesn’t care much about the online gossip, his assistants have already discussed this matter back and forth. It’s difficult for him not to know.

But since he has come, he can only leave with these words.

As for whether Shang Lu needs it or not, it has nothing to do with him.

Shang Lu knew that the other party had good intentions in trying to help her resolve the situation, so she immediately followed Cheng Zhe and said, “Sorry, I’m coming now.”

Jiang Yi hesitated as he watched their figures, and didn’t catch up with them after thinking for a while, after all, Cheng Zhe was an outsider.

Of course, Cheng Zhe increased his pace and left as soon as he shook off Jiang Yi, without even glancing at Shang Lu, naturally not responding to her gratitude.

Meanwhile, Shang Lu walked towards the security arranged by the crew, pointing at Jiang Yi from a distance and said, “That person is my overzealous fan. Please pay attention and don’t let him in.”

The first scene in the afternoon was Shang Lu’s scene.

Shang Lu had prepared for this for a long time, but perhaps because Han Cheng’s gaze was too severe, there were some details that Shang Lu didn’t handle well in her first performance.

Although it could still work, Han Cheng hesitated for a few seconds. As the director, he naturally noticed that it wasn’t Shang Lu’s best performance, so he asked her to do it again.

Passing by, Cheng Zhe felt it was as expected.

This was a play with no significant emotional fluctuations. How could such a simple play have problems? It seems like she’s just a variety show celebrity after all.

After three takes.

Shang Lu finally found her rhythm. She no longer felt restrained, and Han Cheng was very satisfied with her performance this time. The scene was a success.

The following shoots would go more smoothly. Once Shang Lu gets into her groove, she can perform well.

The afternoon shoot ended, and the assistant quickly approached to help Shang Lu take off her heavy coat. Then, with exaggerated yet sincere praise, she said, “Shang Lu, you acted incredibly well! Really!”

Shang Lu smiled at her and replied, “You’re good at flattering.”

Shang Lu was playing a minor role, only shooting for about half a month. In fact, her daily workload wasn’t heavy. Her shooting for today had already concluded.

So the assistant asked, “Should we go back to the hotel and rest?”

Shang Lu shook her head and waved the script in her hand, saying, “I’m still uncertain about the scene I’ll be shooting tomorrow. I’ll go seek advice from Senior Jiang Jing later.”

Since she had already joined this drama crew, she should learn all she could.

Although there were other experienced seniors with excellent acting skills on the set, Shang Lu felt that she was only familiar enough with Jiang Jing. It felt presumptuous to approach anyone else.

So Shang Lu took the initiative to contact Jiang Jing on WeChat, hoping that Jiang Jing could give some guidance on her performance. Jiang Jing readily agreed, and the two quickly set a time.

Because tomorrow’s scene was the second most important plot for the character Song Yanxue apart from the death scene, the scene that Ning Lin had chosen during the audition.

Shang Lu recalled Ning Lin’s performance, thinking that if she were to play it, she would probably use the same approach. But she always felt that something was missing.

As Shang Lu approached the door to Jiang Jing’s dressing room and was about to knock, she heard Jiang Jing’s voice from inside, filled with obvious sobbing, questioning, “How can I trust you?”

Shang Lu didn’t know if the door had poor sound insulation or if Jiang Jing’s voice was just too loud.

Shang Lu loved to eavesdrop, really.

But eavesdropping was still not right, so she immediately prepared to leave.

However, Shang Lu wasn’t lucky. As soon as she turned around, she found herself face to face with Jiang Jing’s manager. It was clear that she couldn’t escape now.

Shang Lusi : “… Hello.”

Shang Lu greeted with a forced smile.

Jiang Jing’s manager was about to say something, but his expression turned unpleasant when he heard the crying sound inside the room. For a moment, he didn’t care about Shang Lu and instead reached out to knock on the door.

As expected, at the moment the knocking sound was heard, the crying inside the room immediately stopped.

Half a minute later, Jiang Jing came over and opened the door.

Her eyes were slightly red, and when she saw her agent and Shang Lu, she met her agent’s gaze with a hint of warning in her expression. Naturally, she understood what had happened.
