Chapter 102 The Favorite Granddaughter

Emilia looked enraged!

Why wouldn't she know what Jessica Wright Davis was up to?

Emilia was like an animal trapped inside a cage. Whenever Jessica felt unhappy, she would torture Emilia to satisfy her vanity!

Torturing one's heart was definitely more hurtful than just severing the body!

This was the cruelest way to make sure your enemies suffered the most!

"Huh?"

Jessica Wright Davis continued teasing, "What's wrong?

"You don't like it?

"Then, we would have to talk about this useless husband of yours!"

Her eyes were filled with a vicious look. She looked at Oliver Walker who was calm as the raging fire in her burned, "Emilia….you have always been better than I am ever since we were kids.

"Our grandfather loved you, and even grandmother loves you!

"If only you weren't too great and didn't threaten the authorities of the company, grandmother wouldn't have allowed my brother to torture you.

"However, your fatal mistake was marrying this useless man as your husband!

"With your brilliance, you could have found a better man, but you didn't. Otherwise, how would it be possible that my brother could defeat you?!

"If there's anyone for you to hate, hate him then!

"He has nothing but only guts to cause more problems. Let me see who else would be here to clean up this mess for you!"

Emilia's brilliance was definitely not something that Willian Davis could contend with.

However, she was the only one amongst the younger generation who was responsible for too many important projects in the company.

Plus, most of the bigger companies had a rule of passing the company to a son instead of a daughter. So, even when Ma'am Davis loved Emilia, she still needed to turn a blind eye!

In other words, Emilia lost because she was born as a woman.

No matter how bad William Davis was, he was still a boy and was meant to inherit the family business. This was why Ma'am Davis had supported him.

Most of them might say that there should be equality between males and females, but companies of that scale, they would usually prefer males rather than females!

Emilia bit her lips as she had nothing to say. She could only allow Jessica Wright Davis to talk all she wanted while disturbing her daughter's rest.

This was because she couldn't fight Jessica!

Emilia kept quiet!

However, Jessica didn't think that it was enough as she continued saying, "She will never be able to protect you now. Do you still think that you could be as arrogant as before?"

The only reason why she had said so much was because she wanted to see Emilia enraged and have her turn against Oliver Walker.

The way that she protected him years ago would then turn into the pain that she would feel today.

Emilia was a tough woman, and this was definitely something that would hurt the core!

However, Emilia already knew that Jessica Wright Davis was doing this on purpose. Jessica wanted her to get rid of Oliver Walker so that her family would be crushed once again.

If she really got mad at Oliver, she would have fallen for Jessica's schemes!

Even if Emilia wanted to hate someone, she would only hate William Davis who had been cruel all these years!

As for Oliver Walker, it was true that he went missing for 8 years, but that was a different issue altogether. How could they be tied together?

Oliver Walker said calmly, "Ten years ago, she saved my life!"

"Ten years later, I will guarantee a peaceful life for her!"

Oliver looked at his wife with a gentle look in his eyes, "This is my promise to you!"

The sudden confession of love caused Emilia to shudder. She felt a warm feeling that came from inside her heart.

This man was like a huge mountain that she could depend on. She could feel the sense of security that she never had.

Ever since she was a child, her father, Essex Davis, had been nothing but a jerk.

The only thing that he brought home for her and her mother was pain.

But now, she could clearly understand how it felt to have someone to depend on!

They looked into each other's eyes, and they could only see the person they loved most!

"Nonsense!"

She wanted them to turn against each other, but that did not happen as expected. Instead, the both of them started confessing their love for each other!

Jessica who was still single until today, she became even angrier as she screamed, "Idiot! Aren't you good at fighting?!

"Well, let's see how many of them would you be able to fight tonight!"
