"Yes, we will definitely accompany you both until the process is complete." Xia Tian said as he sat beside Xia Ning. "So you don't have to worry anymore, Zhixian."
Bai Zhixian took a deep breath and nodded to them. "All right, you two must stay by our side, okay?"
"Of course." Xiang Yin and Xia Tian replied in unison.
"I'm ready now, so you guys can do it for us." Bai Zhixian said to Han Shuo and Ren Yao.
Upon hearing that, Xiang Yin and Xia Tian helped the two women drink the strange liquid that Han Shuo had prepared earlier. Even though the liquid tasted really bitter, they still gulped it down.
After that, Han Shuo handed a few items to Ren Yao. "You can help her, and I will help our other sister-in-law."
"Okay." Ren Yao answered with a nod.
The two men poured energy into those materials, causing them to float over Bai Zhixian and Xia Ning's bodies. They then stuck to various parts of the two women's bodies, causing them to groan in pain.
"Hiss!" Bai Zhixian groaned the loudest.
Even though she also felt pain, Xia Ning endured the pain firmly and tried not to groan.
Xia Tian then rubbed her hand. "Ning'er, if you feel pain, you can scream, and there's no need to endure it like this."
"No." Xia Ning shook her head at him. "It's fine; I can definitely endure the pain."
Han Shuo smiled upon hearing that and really liked Xia Ning's character. Even though she is among the weakest among Xia Tian's women, she has a great mentality. "Get ready, sisters-in-law! Ren Yao and I will start the process now."
"Yes!" Both women answered loudly.
However, a second later, the two women released a groan full of pain, and both squeezed Xia Tian and Xiang Yin's hands very hard.

Xia Ning's situation was no different from hers, and her expression showed pain. "Argh! Tian! My whole body feels like it's being stabbed and sliced repeatedly!"
"I know the pain is great, but you must endure it, Ning'er." Xia Tian said to calm her down, but he hasn't started to use his light energy yet, especially since the process is only in its early stages, and they will experience even more terrible pain.

For a while, the two women's pained groans echoed within the Fortress; even the two dark beasts in other areas could hear them.
After those materials entered their bodies, Bai Zhixian and Xia Ning gasped heavily, and their faces were incomparably pale.
However, Ren Yao and Han Shuo did not proceed directly to the second stage, and they controlled the materials in the two women's bodies with their energy. They do it so both women can feel relieved first, or else neither can continue the process.
Xia Tian and Xiang Yin immediately poured their light energy into the two women's bodies, causing their pain to subside faster.
Bai Zhixian immediately grumbled in annoyance. "Hah... Hah... Fuck! I almost fell unconscious from the pain."

"Humph!" Bai Zhixian snorted at that.
On the other hand, Xia Ning just smiled, listening to them, and she was really relieved that Xia Tian was always beside her to keep her company.
"Why are you looking at me like that, Ning'er?" Xia Tian, with a gentle smile, asked her.
Xia Ning shook her head and smiled at him. "Nothing. I just feel happy."
After they rested for a few minutes, Han Shuo asked them. "Are you ready to move on to the second stage of the process, sisters-in-law?"
"Let's proceed immediately; I want the process completed as soon as possible." Bai Zhixian was the first to answer, for she didn't want to feel that pain longer.
Xia Ning then also answered him. "Yes, you two can continue."
"All right."
Soon, the two women started groaning painfully again, and their groans sounded much more painful than before.
Moreover, they can feel that their spiritual roots are being undermined by those materials. Yet, they also rebuild their spiritual roots afterward.
"Hiss!" Xiang Yin groaned in pain as Bai Zhixian bit her hand hard, causing blood to flow from her hand. Even so, she didn't stop her, for she knew both women were experiencing excruciating pain.

However, the pain that awaits them is still not over, for the process has its final stage, and the pain will only intensify at the last stage.
Unlike the initial process, the second stage takes a very long time, for those materials continue to destroy and rebuild their spiritual roots.
It was only about ten hours later that the second stage of the process was completed. The two women were already on the verge of losing consciousness, so Xia Tian and Xiang Yin immediately helped them to relieve them.
