Chapter 200 - 200 Two Dark Flame Bullets

200 Two Dark Flame Bullets

Vibrant colors that came from the different kinds of spells illuminated the sky below him as the demon mages’ spells tried making their way toward him and Cyra that was flying really high above the sky.

But of course, since Blake flew so high, there was no way those spells could make it to him, resulting in the spells falling mid-way through the sky, some even colliding with each other.

However, the result of such collisions were explosions of colors that reminded Blake of fireworks, albeit it was a very poor version of it.

While enjoying the slight firework show below him, Blake’s mind processed a few things that he had just learned such as the necromancer that controlled the surprising horde of thousands of demons had been confirmed, which was the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon on top of the wolf, and the fact that the horde was in his absolute control.

Whether the ability to snatch the souls of the demons inside the horde from dozens of meters away or the fact that he could easily command dozens of demon mages without saying a single word, using just a simple gesture of pointing his finger, it was evident enough that he was the one who leads the horde of undead demons.

‘Then should I focus my attack only on that guy?’ Even though the textbook that he studied back then did not have the information about the necromancer’s ability to make hundreds or thousands of demons and whether they have the ability to snatch the souls of demons that were under their control, the textbook did have the general advice of targeting the necromancer first if they ever had met with one.

It made sense that the book had that information, it was a book given to humans in order to prepare them as they would eventually fight the demons on the other side of the gate that opened in their world.

Although Blake could not just trust the book 100% since the book had never mentioned a necromancer with the ability to control thousands of undead, which was probably a unique case caused by yet another unknown variant, the logic and reasoning behind the advice made sense.

And after seeing the undead demons with his own eyes, it even made more sense.

.....

Most of the demons inside the horde had deep and fatal wounds on their bodies, which was more than enough to actually kill them and bring out the souls from their bodies. However, the scene a few moments ago where the soul orb of a bear demonic beast came out of its mangled body was still fresh in Blake’s mind.

That could only mean that the necromancer, the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon had the ability to keep the souls of those demons inside their bodies forcefully, and made them able to function as if they were healthy demons. Well at least that would be the case for the demons in the middle and the back of the horde as the same thing could not be said for the demons at the front of the horde who were seemingly mindless and incapable of functioning as normal demons despite having the ability to run tirelessly.

If Blake defeated the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon, then the demons in the horde, the hundreds, thousands of them would lose the influence of the necromancer, possibly ejecting their souls out of their corpse-like bodies, making Blake, Cyra, and Robus don’t have to work hard in defeating hundreds of undead demons.

Which proved to be not as easy as the demonic bear earlier needed to really have its body destroyed beyond recognition to have its soul come out of its body. And that soul could not even be harvested by Blake and Cyra as the necromancer would snatch the soul for himself the second it came out.

As the firework died down, revealing the undead demon horde once again, Blake saw more soul orbs floating and zapping through the horde. The demons in front of the horde that had been caught by Cyra’s dark flame began to lose their souls as the dark flame was relentless in burning through their flesh and bones, destroying their bodies beyond use and extracting their souls as enough time passed for the dark flame to do its job properly.

Tens if not dozens of soul orbs visibly flew towards one direction, the back of the horde, or more precisely, the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon. Blake could see it clearly with his two eyes, but he could do nothing to stop those souls from flying towards the necromancer even though he and Cyra were the ones that worked quite hard to harvest those souls.

‘It’s decided then, I need to deal with the necromancer first.’ Blake’s eyes locked onto the figure that was raising his hand forward, calling upon the souls that had come out of his subordinates’ bodies for him to consume.

“Cyra, use one hand to create a powerful fireball, and use the other one to hold on tight to me,” Blake said as he started gliding downward, slowly getting closer to the optimal distance for him and Cyra to cast their spells.

Cyra nodded and extended her left hand downward, gathering her fiery nether there, condensing the fiery nether to create a condensed bundle of dark flames while her right hand had gone to Blake’s neck, bending and holding tight to make sure she did not fall off.

Blake had also changed his hand position, from two hands holding Cyra’s waist to only one hand supporting her whole body by half hugging her waist with his left hand.

Just as Cyra was busy with gathering her fiery nether in her left hand, Blake also used his right hand to draw the darkness bullet spell. Instead of just drawing one set of runes, Blake used the ability of the flying humanoid demon from the deeper realms and kept two sets of darkness bullet runes spells suspended in his right hand, waiting for Cyra to finish gathering her nether.

Blake finished drawing those two sets of runes in just a second, each set of runes only taking him a split second to complete. But Cyra was not a pushover either. In a matter of two seconds, she had gathered the most amount of nether she could handle with one hand, which was equal to almost 5 normal dark flame fireballs that Blake could cast in about 5 seconds.

“It’s ready, brother!” Cyra shouted so her voice wasn’t drowned out by the winds.

Hearing Cyra’s loud shout, Blake nodded his head, strengthening the grip on his left hand, making sure Cyra would not fall off before then extending his right hand to meet with Cyra’s left hand.

When the two sets of runes met with the bundle of dark flame, Blake then changed the angle of his wings from gliding forward to almost a nose dive, blazing his body downward, quickly entering the distance where his spells could give out their full strength to hit their targets.

His and Cyra’s hands were only extended downward without a clear direction in mind, but using his wings to adjust the position and angle of their whole body, Blake succeeded in making his right hand and Cyra’s left hand aimed straight towards the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon.

“Now!” Blake shouted loud enough that the large blowing winds around him and Cyra could not muffle his voice.

Blake had used the command several times, and Cyra did not need any briefings to know that it was a signal for her to release her control over the bundle of dark flame in her left hand.

And once again, with perfect timing between the two, Blake and Cyra released two dark flame bullets that were strong enough to devastate the front gate of the humanoid demon base.

Blake did not expect the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon, the necromancer that led hundreds or thousands of undead demons would not have the ability to recognize the danger of being touched by the dark flame, let alone the dark flame bullet that contained 5 times the amount fiery nether compared to a normal dark flame fireball that was thrown around the horde a few minutes ago.

However, Blake also did not expect that the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon’s reaction would come so fast either.

Without even giving any directions or making a single gesture, the wolf that was used by the scrawny jet-black humanoid demon as a mount suddenly jerked its head upward, instantly sensing the absurd amount of nether contained inside the two darkness bullets that also moved at an inhumane speed through the sky, making their way towards the necromancer.

The demonic wolf didn’t waste any time and quickly activated its bloodline power, sending a bolt of lightning to crash against the dark flame bullets.

However, the small bolt of lightning could only do so much against the dense dark flames that had been packed tightly by Cyra, the bolt of lightning disappeared as soon as it made contact with the dark flame bullet, creating a small explosion that chipped off the dark flames that covered the darkness bullet in the middle.

With its attempt to stop the dark flame bullets failed, the two bullets were now only a couple of dozen meters apart, a distance that would only take them a second to cover. The necromancer’s fate was seemingly sealed to be hit by the two powerful dark flame bullets.
