Chapter 11:The Dungeon Lord's past life.

I think it was an elf gramps who told me this story when I was a kid in my previous life...

Long long time ago the Ancient Races fought a terrible war against the Demon Race. The war lasted centuries and transformed all fertile plains into deserts, forests into bone graveyards and lakes into swamps full of Miasma.

People born in such age had really hard lives. The war was over but the hunger was worse than before, the countries were in ruins, the law was just a distant memory and only by stepping on others one was able to survive.

To stop all the madness and restore the world to what it was before 8 races joined forces and created special Seeds of Miracle. Those seeds were spread all around the world and wherever they were buried, all impurity was cleansed and life thrived yet again.

And so the world was restored and a new era of peace was born.

At the time I wondered what kind of incredible seed was able to create the miracle of bringing life to deserts, cleansing swamps and restoring the world to what it was before.

That's why, when I turned into an adult, I become an archaeologist who would travel the world in search of clues about the Seeds of Miracles.

Years after years I traveled all around the world. I had many achievements but my main objective, finding a Seed of Miracle, was never fulfilled.

It seems my awe of the seed was so immense that I could remember this old story even after dying and reincarnating. And this awe gave birth to fate that made reincarnate here, as a Dungeon Lord.

I mean, who would have thought that what is considered now a days as the seeds of Destruction, left by the Demon Race to spread chaos in the World, are actually the Seeds of Miracle that restored the World!

Day after day, month after month, year after year! I had walked through countless Seeds of Miracle and never got a single clue! How could I be so blind!?

Now, if only I could encounter at my past self and and scream to him "The answer is right in front of you!", maybe I would have died with no regrets.

Dungeons were not just made to create monsters, Dungeons were actually made to convert Miasma into Mana and recover the equilibrium of the ecosystem. The proof is right in front of me!

As I recover from my shock in finding out the truth, many questions started sprouting inside my head: "Why are Dungeons still being produced now?","Who is creating them?","Aren't the 8 Ancient races gone?","Why is the Church accusing Dungeons to be a legacy of the Devils?","Why is no one spreading the truth?","Why do the other Dungeon Lords also keep quiet about this?", "Why...?", "Why...?", "Why...?"...

"Well, it's not like I will find out by just staring on the screen..."

Taking a deep breath, I put off all my questions... at least for now, and start planning my next steps.

"All right, the Mana crisis has been temporarily averted. Let's take this time to list what I should do next"

Having no paper in hand, I activated the Building Mode and I start writing my objectives in the wall with my finger, covered in Mana.

-First I should take a look at what is new in this Rank E. Before I was in a hurry so I had no time to experiment. Luckily, if the log is right, it seems like it's listed in something called Expansion report.

-I need to take a look at the Orange Area...but that place may be dangerous. Now that we have many ores, let's try to summon some equip first, before risking my neck.

-This isn't a priority, but, I should fix all the mess I did to the Dungeon walls, or else this will be called the Madman Dungeon after it's discovered because of the many prints of my body in the walls.

-Let's look for some way to get more Mana. I don't want to have another Mana Crisis ever again! And it's always better to prepare early so we can deal with any problem that come out.

After setting my new goals, I looked back at the Dungeon Core.

"Time to work!"
