Chapter 57：The Dungeon Lord's party starts with fireworks.

First let's change the battlefield!

I ran to the sacrifice chamber's passage's entrance and closed it moving the tile on the wall, then I signed for the twins to withdraw to inside the cave and ran after them

After I entered the Dungeon influence area I quickly activated Building mode, rose the corridor's height to the limit while kept running and as we arrived at the end of the corridor I added a barrier that looked like a 3 meters tall castle wall.

Adding a floor to my side of the wall, I climbed the walls with the twins following me.

"Let's make our stand here, at least here we have advantage over them, so we should be able to kill many before they break through. If we retreat any further and the kids may get involved in the fight."

"Your house, your rules Plate, but how about calling the others to help?"

"My skeletons are useless, and they are the strongest creatures I have here."

"No, I'm talking about the princess protector, lady -"

"I don't care her name, leave lady mad dog in her kennel, the last thing I need now is some barking lady on my hear. Also, she is in no conditions to fight, I doubt she will wake up before morning even if you throw a water bucket at her."

"Pffff...hahaha... Calling her a mad dog, aren't you scared of her reaction when she find out?"

"Yeah, yeah, she will be soooo pissed that she won't stop at a simple beating..."

"As long as you don't say, she won't ever know, and even if she does find out, I will just tell her that her reaction at the time will be just proving my point."

"You are evil! Hahahaha!"

"Really evil! Hahahah!"

"Now focus, they are arriving!"

We started hearing many disordered steps closing in.

1...2...3...oh f*** this shit! I am no hunter! I have no idea how to count by the foot steps's sound!!

Soon we see the shadows in the other side of the corridor.

The twins ready their their bows and I start chanting my fireball.

!!!!

Five elven warriors appeared running toward us.

"What!?"

"Geo!? You are alive!?"

"Lil!? Is that you!? The 2nd princess is here!? Who is the human mage?"

"Yeah, she is sleeping now, and don't worry, this one here is a friend, this cave is his lair."

Geo nodded and him along his teammates approached the sides of the corridor to free the passage and started calling the one behind them.

"It's safe here! Everybody, come over!"

"What the heck!? An elven procession!?"

I lost the count as the fifth or sixth group entered the cave, and I had no way to concentrate on them since I was finishing drawing the magic spell circle.

"Plate, you can stop now, they are our friends."

"I know! I understood from the start, but there is a big problem here..."

"What problem?"

"I don't know how to stop... The moment I stop giving it energy it will activate, if I don't throw it, it will explode right here!"

"Hahaha, Plate, great joke!! Now please be serious."

"I'm not kidding! I have been practicing magic alone for just one week! Hurry! Tell them to move out of the way right now!"

Seeing it was not a joke, Lil grew serious and screamed on top of her lungs.

"Everybody retreat now! Back to the large hall!!!"

Geo, the leader on the other side, answered in a hurry.

"But there are orcs following us!"

The vice-leader followed up.

"Yeah! Why else would we be hurrying!?"

Next it was my desperate voice doing the talking.

"Then hurry up and get below this wall!"

Come on, me! You got to hold on! Hold on! Just a little more!!!

As the elves were finally midway through the corridor, the orcs appeared on the other side.

Finally!

"Everybody to the ground! FIREBALL!"

Many elves didn't understand my words but as they saw the spell coming into reality in front of them they instinctively jumped to the ground pushing everybody else along with them.

My fireball flew straight above them and reached the end of the corridor.

The orcs dodged to the side and the fireball exploded right in the wall behind them.

BOOOOM!!!!

Even I who took cover behind the wall and was a hundred meters distance from the explosion felt the wind passing right above me.

Finally as the wind calmed down, the explosion was over so I got up to take a look.

Yeah, Magic is definitively the Strongest Weapon!

The explosion had engulfed about a third of the corridor and the orcs who were chasing them were completely wiped out.

It seems like the way the fireball exploded on the wall made rock pieces fly everywhere and those stones had done critical damage to all orcs close to it, leaving them half dead.

Nice!

...

Or maybe not...

I took a look at the elves and saw that many of them got hurt from the scraps thrown by the explosion.

Luckily their wounds were nowhere close to the same level as the orc wounds. A few herbs and one or two days of rest and they should be back to their feet if they regenerate half as fast as me.

"So... what now?"

I asked to the twins who were still trembling while staring at the half dead orcs.

Receiving no answer, I looked at the elf Geo and noticed there was something odd as he was behaving the same way as the twins.

Hmm?? What is going on with these three??
