31 Prophets or Gods?

Zhang Shan looked at Carnalia with a dumbfounded look as he didn't know what to say and do.

"M-milord, w-what do we do?" Carnalia said

"I don't know myself..." Zhang Shan replied.

Seeing the stunned look on their faces, Titiana grabbed the supposed headless body of the ressurected demon girl and went towards the three.

"Hey there, what's your name?" Titiana asked the ressurected demon girl.

"I-i'm Ruunas..." she said

"Okay, Ruunas, are you sure this is your body?"

Ruunas slowly nodded in acknowledgement.

"I see... I'm really sorry for the mix up... you see, we don't know if every one that we will be reviving later on that have been beheaded or mutilated would be in their right bodies... so, you could help us out, okay?"

"Y-yes..." Ruunas said as she nodded again.

"Great! Are you ready?" Titiana asked

"R-ready for-" before Ruunas could finish her sentence, she saw her vision slowly changing to a higher vantage point. When she realized it, it seems that Titiana lopped her head off and sent it flying upwards.

Zhang Shan and Carnalia looked at Titiana in horror, they couldn't fathom how easy it was for her to be so direct and decisive.

"What else do we need to do than, do it again right?" Titiana said in a smiling face as she held the correct lifeless body and catched the falling head while the incorrect body slumped lifelessly to the ground.

Zhang Shan and Carnalia: "....."

"What are you waiting for? Runnas might die again you know? let's do this quickly while she still has consciousness."

Zhang Shan nodded and made another cut in his arm and let the blood flow and go to Ruunas' body and head.

Ruunas who still has her consciousness but was slowly fading into nothingness was crying inside.

"Why is this happening to me! wu wu wu.."

Suddenly, she felt her mind regaining clarity as her vision returned to normal. When she came to her senses, she realized that she's now back in her real body. The feeling of hopelessness and being unable to move, the feeling of weightlessness were simply unnerving. But now, she can feel her own body again as she moved her hands and fingers.

She didn't know what to say as she dropped to the ground and bowed to the three.

"T-thank you my lords and ladies" she said after which she continued to cry.

Carnalia went to her side and comforted her, after a while, they started to revive the other corpses and headless bodies. This time carefully reviving the complete ones first and seeked their assistance to identify the rightful matching owners, of course there were still some mishaps but were rectified accordingly.

It was already dawn when every body from the village have been completely revived and it was now full of sobs, wails, astonishment and solemness. During the revival process, every now and then, some villagers would ask why Carnelia had changed and who are the two demons accompanying her. When it was explained by word of mouth as to how Carnelia first explained it to Ruunas, Zhang Shan and Titiana started being known from being miracle healers, to prophets and then to gods.

As the villagers watched, some of the more knowledgeable elders started verbalizing some verses from their holy scripture like what Carnalia had mentioned to Zhang Shan and Titiana. As soon as everyone has been revived, the villagers started showing reverence to Titiana and Carnalia.

They would call them names and title, like the "Almighty Zhang" and "Benevolent Titiana", they even started calling Carnalia as the "Holy Maiden of Purity" and when they saw Caron wake up from his sleep, the men who mistreated him previously would go near him and kowtow, calling him the "Holy Child of Faith".

Zhang Shan later instructed the elders a few things, which they happily and readily obliged. The elders in turn looked for the men in the village and passed the instruction and later on, everyone started to move about the village.

A while later, after everybody started moving about and fixing stuff, Zhang Shan asked Carnalia.

"How are you feeling right now?"

"I'm feeling better and proud of what we have done for my fellow villagers Milord... although, I still feel the "emptiness" of not being able to release and vent out my anger before..." Carnalia answered.

"I see, don't worry... We'll know for sure a bit later." he said.

"What do you mean, Milord?" Carnalia asked as she noticed Zhang Shan giving out a signal to the elders to approach them, even Titiana moved towards them.

The elders came near them and then started to bow down as a few men came in carrying two large boxes.

As the boxes were placed in front of them, Zhang Shan said to Carnalia.

"This is not a test of your faith, loyalty or servitude, but my way of understanding yours and our abilities. You may feel free to act in accordance to your feelings and I will not judge you for it..." Zhang Shan said as he opened one of the boxes while Carnalia nodded in understanding.

Titiania peered inside and saw pieces of flesh and recognized it, she waited for Zhang Shan's next actions and went silent by his side.

Zhang Shan then cut himself and then moved his flowing blood into the box, a while later it grew and took form in the shape of the deceased Ebraska.

Carnalias face turned into wondering and then shock to anger and hatred.

After a while, Zhang Shan Signaled the people to back a way a bit and nodded to Titiana.

Titiana understood what he wanted to do and went near the corpse of Ebraska as she blew through his nose.

Seeing this spectacle a lot of villagers started crowding them and were aghast with what was transpiring as they saw the chunks of meat taking form of their murderer and slowly being breathed to life by the "benevolent goddess".

As soon as Ebraska came to his senses he wriggled as if someone who has just woken up in surprise, and shouted.

"GGGGGRRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!"

When Ebraska looked around he noticed he was surrounded by the dead villagers who were alive and well, he saw Carnalia and the two other demons. Confused, he tried to check his body to find his axe but ended up with nothing. He noticed he was buck naked as well. Shamelessly he composed himself and asked.

"Am I dead? Am I meeting the people that I murdered?" he asked

Carnalia clenched her fist with fury and gritted her teeth as she said.

"You would wish... no... beg... that you are dead!"

Hearing this Ebraska laughed.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Me? beg? That wouldn'-" before he could finish, he was surprised as Carnalia disappeared in front of her and then he felt being choked.

*Uuuwwwaarrkk* *Cough*

He realized that Carnalia was now in front of him and grabbed his throat with her left hand as she lifted him up in the air. He tried to loosen and break her grip using both of his hands but failed.

Ebraska's eyes started to turn red from loosing too much air and suffocation. Zhang Shan and Titiana just watched at the sidelines as Carnalia started to draw her claws from her left hand and slashed at Ebraska's legs and then arms making him a quadruple amputee and then dropping him to the ground.

*Uuuwwwaarrkk* *Cough*

Ebraska choked and struggled for air a bit before shouting.

"Aaarrrggghhhh!!!! I'll kill you!!!" Ebraska can be seen in so much pain as he tried to wriggle his deformed body towards Carnalia in an attempt to attack her.

This time, Carnalia didn't respond but picked up his arms and legs and threw it near him.

Ebraska was surprised and even with so much anger and hate, he saw Carnalia cutting herself in the arms.

Ebraska went mute, not knowing what she was doing, after which he saw her blood spill and move like a slippery water snake towards him and his limbs.

As the "blood snake" approached, Ebraska tried to move and wriggle away due to the eerieness of whatever was transpiring in hopes of avoiding the unknown.

However it was to no success, he felt all of his cut-up limbs getting caught by the "blood snake" and faintly he started to feel the pain go away while he noticed that his limbs are joining up with his body again.

He then realized he can move again with his limbs as the pain subsided as he tried to advance and attack Carnalia with anger in his eyes.

"You-"

*Thud*

As he was advancing, he suddenly fell off balance and fell face forward.

"Oww.. What the-" Ebraska tried to brush off the pain and looked at what caused him to trip... and to his surprise, he was now truly deformed and grotesque.

His limbs were reconnected, yes... but one of his arm and leg were not in their correct place and were swapped with each other. Even his muscles didn't feel right. As he realized this horror, he remembered what Carnalia said earlier. "beg... that you are dead!"

When he looked backed at Carnalia, he saw a beautiful demon walking toward him ever so slowly, but in her eyes were blank emptiness of the abyss, the look of someone who doesn't seem to have any bit of soul left.

Ebraska tried his best to move, crawl or wriggle backwards, but since he was not familiar with this body structure, he ended up stumbling again and again as he heard a soft, sweet and ethereal voice that seemed to haunt his ears.

"Where are you going Ebraska?... We're not yet done playing..."

Ebraska watched as she once again picked him up, grabbing his neck.

*Uuuwwwaarrkk* *Cough*

She cut and slashed his limbs and dropped him...

Carnalia didn't budge at all, and as the villagers saw this. Initially, there was delight and cheering, a bit later it gradually calmed down and later on, turned into a horrific display of mercilessness.

Some of the villagers started cringing and moved away until there were only the elders left as they watched the gruesome show. They know that they were not in the position to stop Carnalia as even the two gods were just watching.

This continued on from noon until dusk, by then there had been multiple times that Ebraska went unconscious but would always re-awaken after feeling his limbs getting cut.

Titiana whispered to Zhang Shan and said.

"You're going to break her if this continues..." she said worriedly.

"I know... just a bit more..." Zhang Shan said.

Titiana was surprised with what Zhang Shan said and looked at him. As she did, she saw Zhang Shan grinning with his eyes reflecting like those of a child who just received a new present, that look of expectation was both eerie and worrisome. This was the first time she saw this side of him.

Carnalia was now panting, not due to exhaustion but for the reason that she was nearing her mental limitations. All her rage and anger had been vented out but she still went on repeating it like a mindless butchering machine.

Before she could strike Ebraska again. Zhang Shan appeared right beside her and held her right hand.

"That should be enough..." he said

"*Hah*- *Hah*- W-why'd you stop me Milord?" she said without looking at him as she stared blankly at Ebraska.

Carnalia was shocked at what Zhang Shan did, for his actions was considered to a disrespect and desecrating act to the dead. Both her parents to be exact. Before she could speak again, Zhang Shan continued.

"I can't promise you it would work, but I'll do my best and try..." after which he signaled Titiana. Titiana cut open her wrist and poured blood on the once female figurine's pile of dust while Zhang Shan Zhang Shan did the same with the male figurine's pile of dust.

Slowly and surely, from the dust, the ashes started to separate themselves and then slowly it resembeled two burnt corpses. As time went by and the corpses started to reform, Zhang Shan and Titiana placed their "origin stones" in their hearts , These two burnt corpses started to regain their original appearance and color. Seeing this, Carnalia started to tear up and cry as she realized what the two were doing.

When. the elders saw what was happening they arranged the clothes they prepared beforehand and covered the naked corpses.

The process of rebuilding the two corpses from ashes was more time consuming and blood draining than the others, but it seemed that Zhang Shan and Titiana had endless supply of blood.

One Zhang Shan and Titiana were done, although they both seemed pale, Zhang Shan went to Carnalia and said.

"It might be best if you try it out as well, breathe into them..." he said as he sat down with Titiana on the ground. The elders saw these and tried to grab some chairs from the houses but Zhang Shan signaled that they were okay with sitting like this.

Carnalia went to her parents corpses and breathed to them, imagining on giving them life as she tried to stop her tears from falling.

When the two opened their eyes and came to their senses, they saw Carnalia and they were initially surprised by her changed appearance but knew that it was her right away.

The three cried for a while as they held each other, later they asked what happened since they do recall dying. Carnalia started to explain about what happened and the two were amazed from how she told her story, a bit later after mentioning Zhang Shan and Titiana, she directed their eyes to them.

"Mother, Father.... this is Milord and Milady Zha-" Carnalia's word were cut off when she saw her Father and Mother suddenly kneeling down with arms crossed and then kowtowed as they said in unison.

"Long Live to our Great Emperor Arja and Empress Nakara!!!"
