Chapter 204 First Lesson

"Hufff…. Hufff….."

In the middle of the room that was filled with burn marks, mud, and slight wetness, I was sitting.

"Implementing this was a lot harder than I thought."

I mumbled while remembering the thing that I had just tried.

Field magic.

As the name implies, it is a type of magical theory that discusses how to use the magic of any attribute in a field.

And the moment I started reading the book, I felt this was what it meant by magic.

'Now, it feels like that Elementary Magic book I read at that time was only child's play.'

I thought.

Even though the magic theory I just read was something pretty simple and basic for starters, using this in practice was something that required a lot of effort.

"Though, I think I can perfect it at most three days."

I mumbled, still feeling the improvement.

/CRACKLE/

While moving the lightning mana around me.

'Let's try it with lightning this time.'

/DING/

But, at that moment, a notification came from the bracelet filling my ears.

'A notice?'

Notice – Classes

Dear Freshmen;

As the new student of our academy, we, lecturers, welcome you to your new semester.

As you may already know beforehand, our academy has a lot of courses we offer in a variety of fields that range from combat-related faculties to artifact creation.

However, even though we understand that each of you has your own dreams and their own preferences, we also want you to remember that knowing the basics are essential.

Therefore, only in the first semester of this year will you be assigned to a random class where you will take the basic courses that will be covered and needed by all faculties, and after the first semester ends, you will be able to choose your own course and your own curriculum.

Another notification concerning which class you have been assigned will come in the morning since we assume most of you are already asleep.

Wish you a healthy new semester.

'Ah, right? There was something like this one.'

As I was reading the panel in front of me, I thought.

Of course, even though a person wants to become a knight that fights with their body, they also need to know how magic works or how the artifacts in this world work to have a better understanding while fighting with such an enemy.

And this goes for magical engineers or alchemists as well.

They need to know how the aura worked to design a tool that knights would use, right? Considering that they also need to know how to convert their mana into artifacts and etc., this type of program was essential and efficient.

I thought and stood up from the place I was sitting.

'It seems I forgot the time.'

Since I was training and studying, I lost track of time.

And seeing the hour shown by the bracelet, which was 2 AM, I decided to go to sleep.

Even though I can go without sleep for a long time, abusing that is not something I would like to do since it is not good for me mentally.

I thought and left the training ground.

/SWOOSH/

'Clean.'

While also using [Clean] magic.

Now that I had acquired a new skill named [Silent Mage], of course, I didn't forget about it, and neither did the author.

Right?

Well, in any case, while I was training, I used this skill, and as the name implied, this skill made the user not obligated to voice their chants in order to use magic.

This basically meant, without voicing your chant and only thinking of it in your mind, you could use any type of magic you wanted.

In the end, it was a skill that was also in the game and was very advantageous for a mage since, most of the time; people would assume you would chant and correspond to your magic if they knew about it.

Though, it also has its own restrictions.

You can't basically use every type of magic you learned without chanting.

It is limited to the magic that is one rank smaller than what rank you are as a mage, which meant I could use up to three-star magic with this skill. And this is enough.

In any case, this was how my day ended as I went to sleep.

-------------

Waking up early in the morning, the first thing I did was check the notifications that came from our bracelets.

Since whenever you sleep, you can turn the notifications off, which is something you should do.

'Class 29, huh? I wonder who will be there.'

I thought, looking at my class.

Since the assignment of the classes is random, it is impossible to know about your classmates, and inferring it from the game is also not possible since I had already messed up with the scenario.

After waking up, the first thing I did was, of course, train since it had been a routine for me for a long time.

And then, I prepared a breakfast filled with expensive ingredients that the academy supplied.

/KNOCK/ /KNOCK/

And as I finished my breakfast and wore the uniform that the academy had sent yesterday, I heard a knock on my room.

Turning my attention there, I saw Diana, of course.

"Brother, which class you are in?"

"29."

"I see. I am in class 32. It seems we are in different classes."

'Class 32. It is different from the game.'

Expecting such a thing would already happen, I nodded my head in response.

"Pretty normal since assignments are made in a way to make classes balanced."

I answered while getting out of the house and walking to the classrooms we had been assigned.

"You are right. They are doing it to show what kind of people high-ranking students are to lower-ranked people, right?"

"Indeed. Though at the same time to let high ranking students form their own faction."

Just like that, we kept chatting until we reached the building that contained classrooms.

A huge building that could house at least one thousand students at the same time.

Seeing the class 29 sign, I entered the room without thinking much, only to see some familiar faces inside…..
