Chapter 250 Countermeasure

Between the voice of chirping birds and the sounds of nature, one could see young people walking. Some were running with books in their hands, hurrying to their classes. Others were jogging to train their bodies and maintain their physical prowess. And a few were just walking, basking in the peaceful morning as the sun had just risen.

As one's gaze scanned further across the academy grounds, they would soon reach a place bustling with students. Unlike the paths between the faculties and buildings, these students were sitting on benches or the grass, engaged in animated conversations with a peculiar spherical device in their hands.

"Have you seen it?" the young girl asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she delicately cut her breakfast. In a way, those who could afford to buy privately prepared food could eat wherever they wanted, instead of in students' cafeterias.

"Yes, I have. That bastard finally got what he deserved, didn't he?" another girl replied, lifting the sphere from her lap to get a better view. "It's amazing how you can watch all of this on such a tiny device." She gazed into the device as she wondered for herself. "In just two days, this thing spread through the academy. Now everyone has one in their hands." She spoke as she swirled the sphere.

"Yeah, Verdant Ventures really outdid themselves... developing this in just two years after the twin orbs were invented," the girl eating marveled at the merchant company's achievement. "And they are also giving the academy students a discount for those who are buying for the first time. Father immediately bought me one and sent it to me. I can't fall behind when everyone gets in, can I?"

"Certainly... I'd never expected such a thing to come out of nowhere," a young man chimed in, joining the conversation with a curious expression. "Now that everyone has it, I can see how convenient it will be in the future. Now, I can talk to my family every time whenever I want without waiting for the twin orbs to fill the cooldown." However, his voice turned serious after he finished his words.

"But what do you think about the recording? Who were those people that attacked Callius in the training room?" He glanced around, sensing the buzz of discussions around them.

In a way, everyone was talking about the same thing, and the topic echoed through the campus.

The recording that everyone had under their disposal….

"I can't believe those masked individuals took matters into their own hands," a young man chimed in, his tone filled with approval. "Callius had it coming if he really assaulted a holy sister. These people were just serving justice."

The group fell into a thoughtful silence, each nodding in agreement, their opinions aligning with the prevailing narrative.

"Exactly, he got what he deserved," one of the girls added, her voice laced with satisfaction. "Those five attackers showed him that actions have consequences."

"Absolutely. They took matters into their own hands when the authorities failed to act," another person chimed in, their voice firm and resolute. "This incident serves as a warning to anyone who thinks they can get away with such heinous acts."

A hushed murmuring filled the air as others nearby joined in the conversation, their voices brimming with support for the assailants and their supposed act of retribution.

"He's lucky they didn't do worse to him," a voice said, dripping with vindication. "Sometimes, a taste of your own medicine is the only way to make someone understand the gravity of their actions."

"We need more people like them who are willing to stand up for what's right, no matter the consequences," another person remarked, their conviction unwavering. "They're the heroes we need in this world."

The dialogues echoed with a mix of vindication, satisfaction, and a desire to see justice served. The students firmly believed in the guilt of Callius, rallying behind the actions of the masked assailants as a form of vigilante justice. As the discussions continued, they praised the attackers, embracing the notion that they had taken matters into their own hands to restore balance and teach a lesson to those who dared to cross moral boundaries.

In a way, those who have not matured enough to assess the situation would always like to see the fall of someone.

It all goes to the same saying…. It is always funnier to watch a noble's fall rather than the rising of the hero.

Though none of them knew, all of their thoughts were the intention of someone….

"Let's start our class," the teacher announced, her voice filling the brightly lit classroom. The students settled into their seats, preparing to engage in the day's lesson.

As the teacher began speaking and conducting the class, a low whisper rippled through the room. Some students couldn't help but divert their attention away from the lesson, their voices hushed as they exchanged comments.

"He didn't come today either," one student whispered, a tinge of disappointment evident in their tone.

"No, he didn't," another student replied, their voice filled with curiosity. "I wonder what happened to him after that incident."

"Did you see the recording?" a third student chimed in, their voice barely audible. "It looked pretty intense."

As the whispers echoed inside the classroom, two seats that were in the front row also gazed through the back as they saw the empty seat.

'Where are you? You can't just fall down like that…..' Emma was anxious as she was looking at the seat.

Of course, she, too, had already seen the recording, which made her remember some memories of the past.

However, one thing was certain Callius not being here was not normal since this world had potions and many other things for one to heal themselves.

Therefore, Emma was not able to come up with a clear reason for making herself anxious.

On the other hand, our protagonist Arthur had a smile on his face. 'Just as Alicia said, they had moved already.' His smile was wide as he knew everything had gone as planned. 'But, was there anything like those spheres inside the game?' Though he pondered as he looked into the sphere.

'Well, it probably had, I don't remember much about the game, and the system doesn't give me any information either.' With that thought, he turned his attention to the class as his gaze wandered around the strict body of the teacher….
