The moment I thought the fight was over, suddenly, a dark mana enveloped the air causing a vortex in the scene.
As the dark vortex consumed the surroundings, an ominous hush fell upon the battlefield. Celia and Arthur stood frozen in disbelief, their eyes wide with shock.
There, I could see the changed appearance of the demon in front of me.
If, at first, the demon had an unearthly alien look with his green-grey skin, now it had darkness filling his body, dying his skin color to pitch black. Those previously long red hairs were now turned into bright white akin to the symbol of death itself.
The single eye that was aligned at the center of its forehead was now divided into two aligned vertically, each of them opening and closing separately.
Its alien-looking body had now turned into a creature from hell as it was. The sword in his hand disappeared.
No, saying it disappeared was wrong. It had actually merged with his left arm, forming an arm blade that aligned horizontally to his hand, while the claws in his hands were a lot longer than normal.
'All-Seeing Eye.'
As I opened my eyes, the information shown before me made me realize what happened there.

The moment I saw the panel in front of me, I saw the stats. 'This is weird. His class has changed, and he now has a new attribute.' Seeing this, I realized the change in the atmosphere surrounding the demon, but I couldn't understand what was wrong here.
In any case, Celia and Arthur were frozen in response, as they couldn't comprehend what was happening.
The unexpected turn of events had shattered their expectations, leaving them vulnerable and exposed. 'What is this?' Even I was surprised. 'This was not in the game.' I thought, seeing the vortex of dark mana appearing right before us.
Arthur gritted his teeth, his chest throbbing with pain from the demon's previous attack while I could see his hands shaking from the last confrontation.
The first event of the game was supposed to be an easy one that was there to introduce the events of the game. Thus, there wasn't a second phase or something, normally, but the scene in front of me was saying otherwise.
Then, the ice palace that had trapped the demon crumbled to its pieces, releasing the demon from the restraint.

With newfound freedom, the demon vanished from its original position, reappearing with alarming speed before Arthur. In one swift motion, it unleashed a vicious slash, aiming for his already wounded chest.
/SLASH/
"Kurghk-"Agony exploded through Arthur's body as the demon's claw cut through flesh, leaving a deep gash, while blood poured from his mouth.
'What is this speed? It is almost at the peak of the five-star realm.' I thought to myself as I saw the demon moving at a fast speed.
"ARTHUR!" Celia screamed as she saw Arthur getting paled by the claw.
Celia's heart pounded in her chest as she witnessed the brutal attack on her partner. I could see the anger surging within her, fueling her determination to bring down this malevolent force.
'But determination won't be enough to defeat this demon.' I thought. Even for a magical genius like her, the demon in front of her was something way out of her level.
She raised her hand, instantly conjuring a bunch of ice lances aimed at the demon, and released them instantly.I think you should take a look at
'Her speed of casting also increased.' I thought, still observing the girl; the way she had used her mana was getting imprinted on my body as I was absorbing every bit of knowledge I could find.
/SWOOSH/ /SWOOSH/ /SWOOSH/
The lances whistled through the battlefield, leaving icy trails in their wake. They converged upon the demon, each one poised to pierce through its malevolent form.
However, the demon was one of the biggest counters to such strikes since he had a high agility.
/CLANK/ /CRASH/ /CRASH/ /CRASH/
The demon deflected the lances effortlessly, its claws swiping through the air with supernatural speed. Celia's ice lances shattered upon impact with the ground, their cold energy dissipating into nothingness.
Sweat dripped from her neck as Celia saw the increased speed of the demon. In a way, this confrontation was going nowhere, and she knew they were on the losing edge.
'But, this won't be enough to defeat you, isn't it?' I thought to myself. In the end, there is a reason why Celia is a person belonging to the main cast.
Soon, to prove me right, Celia's eyes narrowed, determination burning within her.
Her gaze met with Arthur, who had a brief second to breathe. She nodded her eyes to signal Arthur what he should do.
'She wants him to buy her time.' I analyzed.
But I could see the difference between their eyes. Arthur's eyes were wide open different from the eyes of Celia….
'He is scared shitless….' I mused, seeing his bright white face….
Summoning her mana once more, she focused her energy on the very air around her. Coldness thickened, swirling in a vortex of frost and ice. A blizzard roared to life, its chilling winds howling through the battlefield.
'This magic…. It is the 4-star magic, Blizzard of Ice.' I thought, seeing the magic in front of me.
/WHIRL/ /ROAR/
The blizzard enveloped the demon, its icy grip tightening around its form. The swirling snowflakes obscured its vision and encased its limbs in frost.
The snowflakes dropped to the ground in a second, and everyone's vision was blocked.
"It is a good opportunity," I mumbled to myself, seeing the attack.
"ARTHUR, NOW!" Celia's high-pitched voice echoed inside the trees as blood started pouring from her mouth.
She was overexerting herself forcibly by using a lot more mana than she should have, increasing the toll on her body and her core. She was basically risking her future by doing this, as there was a chance her core might crack from that heavy toll.
However, at that moment, my All-Seeing Eyes sensed a movement that shouldn't have happened.
The mana signature of Arthur drifted apart….
