On the way to Shen Zhiqian’s house, Ning Qingqing looked ahead and drove seriously without speaking the entire way.

“Qingqing, are you unhappy?” The man’s voice came from beside her. After drinking, his voice was deeper than usual.

“No, I’m not.” Ning Qingqing said as she turned on the car radio.

Shen Zhiqian normally likes to listen to the finance news channel, so Ning Qingqing got used to listening to it on the road with him. At this moment, a particular news report entered their ears——

“Gu Youchen, the heir of the Gu Group, is returning to China today. This may be an indicator that the Gu family plans to shift their headquarters to the mainland…”

When Ning Qingqing heard this, she subconsciously looked at the man beside her.

Sure enough, when Shen Zhiqian heard the name of Gu Youchen, his brows furrowed, and the temperature in the car seemed to drop by two degrees.

She was about to change the channel, but Shen Zhiqian held down her hand, and the man said coolly, “I’d actually like to hear what news he has!”

Ning Qingqing didn’t move anymore and continued to drive, but the man she met at Lanyue Club today involuntarily appeared in her mind.

It’s strange, but she met Gu Youchen in high school, but she didn’t pay attention to him after he went abroad. Unexpectedly, even after not seeing him for a few years, she can still recognize him with a glance.

Unlike Shen Zhiqian’s sharp and arrogant facial features and his temperament that’s at times laid back and at times flamboyant, Gu Youchen’s eyebrows are more refined, and he embodied a unique temperament, like the snow on a mountain peak, pure and untainted by even a speck of dust.

Because of some complicated matters of the rich and powerful families from the past, and the fact that Shen Zhiqian and Gu Youchen are similar in age, they were compared to one another since childhood.

Gradually, the two of them opposed each other like fire and water.

Of course, this is one-sided information that Ning Qingqing got from Shen Zhiqian.

At this moment, the phone next to the man vibrated. For some reason, Ning Qingqing glanced at the screen that Shen Zhiqian had just unlocked.

It was his WeChat friend request page. On the page was a circular pink avatar. Ning Qingqing was sitting a little further away, so she couldn’t see the WeChat name.

Next to her, Shen Zhiqian took a glance and didn’t respond. He threw the phone aside without any reaction.

He seemed to be really tired after drinking; he leaned against his seat and relaxed with his eyes closed.

Just like this, they arrived at Shen Zhiqian’s neighborhood. The privacy here is very good. All of the apartment buildings had units which are directly accessed from the underground parking lot.

Ning Qingqing parked the car and handed Shen Zhiqian’s bag to him: “Rest early tonight.”

But the man didn’t move, he held Ning Qingqing’s hand: “Qingqing, what happened?”

He tried hard to recall what happened today, but he didn’t think of anything that would affect Ning Qingqing’s mood, so he asked, “Are you feeling unwell?”

Ning Qingqing then nodded: “My Big Aunt came.”

“Then don’t go home, go up and rest with me.”
