CH 45.2

Flying Dust [Fei Chen]

Chapter 45.2

At lunchtime, Jun Wushuang really came into the room with some dried grain and a dustpan.

Mo Fei Chen looked at those things, his eyebrows smiled at those. He took the dustpan and looked at it for quite a long time, before then he grabbed a handful of grain with his hands, as his eyes glowed with inspiration.

“I haven’t seen you with that kind of look on your face for a long time.”

Mo Fei Chen looked sideways, Jun Wushuang’s smile was very faint. He suddenly remembered the first time he leaned against the wall of the inn and weaved the grasshoppers, Jun Wushuang was beside him with such a simple smile also.

Mo Fei Chen slowly climbed up from the bed, and Jun Wushuang again tried to hold him up, but in the end, he was still pushed away by him.

Although his back acupuncture point was still swollen and painful, after all, unlike that time he was brought here, Mo Fei Chen could still walk around freely.

He reached down and untied the rope used to hold the bed curtain in place, grabbed a handful of grain, took the dustpan and went out.

Jun Wushuang followed behind him.

Mo Fei Chen spilled the grain on the ground, found a branch to support the dustpan and placed it on top of the grain, then tied a rope to the branch and slowly stepped back, lying on the ground.

Jun Wushuang followed suit and lay down beside him, “What do you want to do?”

Mo Fei Chen shrugged his shoulders, “Just watch bei.”

Before long, some birds flew down and dug into the dustpan to peck at the grain (millet).

Seeing this, Jun Wushuang seemed to know what Mo Fei Chen was going to do, “Why do you have so many interesting ideas in your head?”

That’s because your childhood was too dark (gloomy). Of course, Mo Fei Chen didn’t say this out, he just reached out and pulled the dustpan, the branches collapsed and covered the birds.

“I got it!” Mo Fei Chen got up and ran towards the dustpan.

“What do you plan to do with them? Roast them for dinner?” Jun Wushuang tilted his head, that hint of innocence of him making Mo Fei Chen somewhat in a trance.

“You locked me up, so I’ll lock them up.” Mo Fei Chen trapped the birds’ legs with a rope and tightened the tie near the cottage.

Jun Wushuang’s face darkened as he stretched out his hands, took Mo Fei Chen’s arm and said, “Are you blaming me for locking you up in here?”

Mo Fei Chen said nothing more, for it would only be a dead end (a deadlock) if he continued to talk.

That afternoon, Wen Xin was moved from the secret room in his bedroom to another underground palace by Jun Wushuang.

Leng Yufang carefully combed Wen Xin’s hair, shaved the beard stubble off his chin and she even gave him clean clothes to change into.

Jun Wushuang looked on with a cold eye at them on one side, he really didn’t understand why Leng Yufang had done so much for such an useless person (good-for-nothing) like Wen Xin. It was her dedication (attachment) with Wen Xin that changed Jun Wushuang’s life. When he was young, Leng Yufang told him over and over again to remember who he was, to remember Jing Shui Sect, and to remember Wen Xin. Today, he was fully capable of separating himself from Leng Yufang’s control, but those words at that time were like a cursed magic spell. He realized that he could only follow that path, as if he didn’t know how to live anymore once he wandered from that path.

Leng Yufang raised her head and realized that Jun Wushuang was still standing there, “Sect Master?”

“Aunt Leng, you please go out first.” Jun Wushuang raised his hand.

Leng Yufang was dumbfounded yet she saw that he did not look like he wanted to do anything to Wen Xin, so she hesitated and walked out.

Jun Wushuang sat down in front of Wen Xin and looked at his facial features before finally murmuring after a long time, “Although we are father and son, we really don’t look alike at all… No, at least the brow ridge here are quite similar.”

“… Is there anything in particular you want in life? I mean, apart from the number one or best martial arts skill in the world?” Jun Wushuang paused for a short moment and laughed gloomily, “That’s such a really  silly question to ask, you’ve become like this for martial arts, what else is more important than martial arts?”

“I know someone,” Jun Wushuang pursed his lips and slowly raised his head to look into Wen Xin’s empty eyes, “I want… to be able to look at him forever, I want him to always stay by my side…yet he still likes the outside world and thinks about the person from the outside world, then what should I do?”

Wen Xin was slightly hunched over, without even the slightest reaction.

Jun Wushuang shook his head, as if he thought he had done something absurd, “Why am I talking to you about this? It’s not like you can answer me. You…you can’t even solve your own problems.”

Walking out of the underground palace, Leng Yufang was still waiting there.

“What’s wrong?”

“Yu Jin has returned from Xi Yu (western region).”

“Then let him come to see me.”

Based on the information Yu Jin had pried out, Wen Qian Liu and the others had sent a number of people to find out the location of Bai Xue Cult.

“Since Wen Qian Liu is so keen to establish his own prestige by eradicating the Bai Xue Cult…” I might as well help him out.
