Chapter 254: Robo-car

Mo Yuhan slid the fiber glass to the side and a gasp escaped her lips looking at the collection of exclusive guns. There were four to five pistols.

Her eyes widened when he lowered the right side of window pane before shooting at the approaching car's tyres, his focus still straight on the road.

'Bang' He fired the bullet, his entire self shrouded in a layer of coldness.

The bullet pierced the right tyre in the front but she was dumbfounded when she noticed another tyre connected right beside it, which helped the car move without any complication. What kind of advanced mechanism is this? As a person who was a bit lagging behind when it involved technologies, she did not how could the car have such a modernised equipment and mechanisms.

Mo Yuhan's left hand was on the steering wheel as their car moved in a slight zig-zag manner, while his right hand pointed straight at the approaching car.

Tang Li snapped out of her daze as she she removed her high heels with her toes before taking off her black blazer and throwing it to the back seat. Her actions were swift and nimble as she unbuckled the seat belt before sleekly shiftling to the man's lap.

'Bang' Mo Yuhan shot another tyre of the black car but it continued moving without problems. He glanced at her, his chin resting on her neck.

"Do you trust me?" She asked as she increased the car speed.

Mo Yuhan narrowed his eyes, "No, I think I don't trust you," He said coldly but his actions were a bit contradicting as his left arm snaked around her waist.

Tang Li rolled her eyes, "Yeah I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that."

"Why ask a question with a obvious answer, then?" He whispered right beside her ear shooting the back tyres of the mysterious black car as Tang Li almost deviated their car almost off the road.

A few inches more and they would hit the trees on the sideways.

Tang Li smiled at his reply as she took a U-turn. With a loud 'screech', their car encircled the black car spinning around it.

'Bang' Mo Yuhan shot the last tyre of the car bringing it to a halt in a split-second.

"Glock-18," Tang Li muttered as he kept the pistol back in the hidden compartment before pressing the button to close it.

Mo Yuhan's hand paused for a moment. He was reminded of the small shooting contest between his Lili and Meng Zhilan a few months ago. Her marksmanship amused him at that time. But has she taken an interest in guns right now?

She parked the car on the other side of the car and said, "Don't look at me like that. I was just curious about pistols and firearms so I looked up for some details," Ever since she discovered her skills with these, she wanted to know more about guns so she just looked up for some information. And the names were memorized by her with a single glance.

His shooting skills amazed her, he was like a expert sharpshooter but more than that, his beauty was deadlier weapon than the pistol. Though she was curious about why Mo Yuhan would have such a deadly pistol in his hand, but she did not ask questions at this moment.

She was more curious about the strange car which nearly sent them to the death's door if not for his swift actions.

As they walked towards the black car, Mo Yuhan noticed that there was no living person inside it. At one closer look, he recognized it as a modernised self-driving car. Even Tang Li who did not have much idea about cars recognized it.

Without giving her a chance to react, he held her hand firmly before running back to their car briskly.

'Boom'

In the vast darkness of the quiet highway, the car blasted and all its parts were blown to smithereens.

Tang Li panted as she rested her head on Mo Yuhan's chest, she tried to calm her racing heartbeats and looked at the scene that looked like a fountain of fire. Her hazel eyes had a layer of coldness. If they had been a second late, no one would have been able to save them from this.

Mo Yuhan's eyes darkened.

At that critical juncture, he was reminded of the fact that 'self-driving' cars can be the best 'self-detonating' weapons.

On the way to their villa, Tang Li kept quiet. She knew this sneak attack was meant for her. Those people wanted her dead by hook or by crook.

When they went to Song Mansion, she did not step out of the car even once but a candy shop caught her eyes when they were returning. Not being able to resist the temptation, she had gotten off the car to get it.

Since Mo Yuhan was waiting for her in the car, they must not have seen him.

She glanced at the candy jar kept on the backseat. They prepared a full-proof attack plan within fifteen minutes?

She hid her face inside both her palms and she could still feel the heat on her cheeks. They were just one second away from death.

No wonder Mo Yuhan dismissed all the men that were responsible for her protection, he was confident in his capabilities.

Feeling a piercing stare on her, she turned her head towards the man who was sneaking occasional glances at her, with concern evident on his face.

She pursed her lips, "Don't look at me like that. I'm no going to leave you."

She was suddenly reminded of the web novels that Ying Yue liked to read. The Female lead will always abandon her love to protect him from all the dangers lurking around her. She will make herself seem like an evil woman who was never in love with the Male lead and push him away from herself to keep him safe.

Mo Yuhan glanced at her in confusion. He was just trying to make sure that she is okay. What is she talking about?

Tang Li sighed at her dramatic thoughts as she looked at him, "I'm not some pitiful Female lead in the romance novels who will push away her man to protect him from the dangers. So, Mo Yuhan, you better stick for better for worse, in sickness and in wealth. I'll do the same and will never leave you. Got it?"

She had to do years of hard work in order to lay her claim on him. How could she let her big fish go just like that? She decided to stick to him no matter what.

She had got that feeling that as long as he was with her, she could deal with every problem without batting an eye.

President Tang never believed that she would say something so childish one day but alas… Love always had its ways.

"Just don't risk your life for me.." she murmured suddenly reminded of the day when he shielded her body with his to protect her from the bullet, "Infact, I just want you to stay with me…" safe and sound.

Mo Yuhan chuckled as he grabbed the nape of her neck before pressing a heated kiss on her lips. The kiss did not last long as Mo Yuhan was still driving the car.

"As you wish, Lili," He looked at her, his azure eyes were serious than ever as he spoke up, "I'll stick to you, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health."

That was his vow to her.

A vow that would keep him moving towards her in the darkest days of life.
