Chapter 415: Angry brother

As the doorbell rang interrupting their kiss, both of them looked at each other.

"You prepare the breakfast. We haven't eaten anything since last night..."

He interrupted her, "Liar. I ate you and you ate me."

She pushed him away, "I'm starving. Prepare the food fast. I'll go check who is on the door."

As he looked at her retreating back before looking back at the vegetables, he suddenly thought about something. It won't be too bad if he gave up the position of the CEO of Blue Stars and cook for her every day.

How blissful!

He chuckled as a hint of adoration appeared in his eyes.

While her man was busy contemplating changing his career path from a CEO to a personal chef for his wife, Mo Jia opened the door. She was surprised for a split second as she found her brother and sister-in-law standing there.

Yesterday, she called her brother to inform him about Tang Yichen's accident and since she was crying so badly, he must have assumed that the situation is serious. Now that she glanced at them standing here, she felt guilty for not informing them later that Tang Yichen was fine and it was no major accident.

"Brother," She greeted the man and hugged him before turning to her sister-in-law, "Kara," She hugged the woman.

Tang Li hugged her back, "We got the information that you both are here as soon as we landed," While they were about to go to the hospital, Mo Yuhan was informed that Tang Yichen was long discharged from the hospital and the couple was back to the villa.

"Are you fine now?" Mo Yuhan stroked the top of her head.

"I'm good," Mo Jia said, feeling guiltier as she adjusted the collar of her shirt.

While a few things went unnoticed by Mo Yuhan, Tang Li noticed her brother's artworks at once.

"Let's go inside," She said as a meaningful smile made its way to her lips which was missed by the Mo siblings.

While Mo Jia and Mo Yuhan sat in the room talking to each other, Tang Li went to the kitchen to find her brother.

Tang Yichen who was cutting the vegetable raised his head when he heard the sounds of footsteps. Since he could see everything while standing in the kitchen, he already knew who came.

Given that Mo Jia and Mo Yuhan were in the living room, it was obvious who would come here.

"Brother~" Tang Li pounced on him hugging the man tightly.

Tang Yichen had the urge to hug her back but he grabbed her shoulder and distanced her from himself. He glanced at her from head to toe making sure that he was fine before averting his gaze back to the vegetables.

Tang Li froze. Did she just get ignored? "Brother, you...are you angry?" He was fine when she left with the excuse of going on a business trip. Why would he suddenly ignore her out of nowhere?

Her eyes widened. He would never ignore her unless he knows she lied to him. Her eyes widened, "Brother~" She desperately clung to his arm swinging it back and forth.

Tang Yichen narrowed his eyes as he put the knife aside before looking at her, "I think you got the wrong person," He said, taking her hands off his arm.

'I am done for,' Tang Li thought to herself. Her brother has never once ignored her like that. It seems he is angry for real. She glanced at Mo Yuhan who was sitting in the living with his sister as she apologized to him in her heart in advance. He won't blame her for this, will he?

Since her brother was keen on ignoring her, she could only try this out.

Her eyes immediately turned teary as she held his hand intertwining their fingers, "I didn't mean to lie to you at all. I was afraid you would not let me go. If you went there, I would have been worried sick here. That's why I lied to you and ran away to find Mo Yuhan," She softly said, her voice cracking towards the end.

Tang Yichen glanced at her, his gaze softened slightly.

Tang Li tried harder this time and squeezed a small teardrop forcefully before speaking, "I was so scared, brother. There were so many guns and bombs and everything was so horrible. Mo Yuhan even pranked me and I thought we were going to die there..."

"Enough," Tang Yichen hugged her, "I'll deal with that scoundrel."

Her lips curved up slightly as she hugged him back, "Grandpa said he will lock me up in the ancestral hall for one night."

"That old man dares to lock my princess? Don't worry, I won't let him do it," He patted her back.

Tang Li happily hugged him. As expected, her brother will never ignore her for long.

In fact, both of them knew that Tang Li was acting. Tang Yichen, who has seen her growing up in front of his eyes knew it very well what kind of person she was. She would never cry no matter what. If she is truly hurt, she'd isolate herself in a room but it was almost impossible to make her cry.

She was still as strong, standing with him, holding his hand when their mother died.

But despite knowing it, his heart ached. What if she was truly scared? He couldn't keep ignoring his princess. A few words from her and he knew that he had to give in.

As they parted, Tang Li glanced at him, "I got to know that it was a minor accident. But are you injured anywhere?"

Tang Yichen shook his head, "Just a few scratches here and there."

"And sister-in-law's bites must have cured those scratches. Didn't they?" She raised an eyebrow, looking at his neck.

Tang Yichen paused for a moment before he raised his hand and flicked her forehead, "Still as naughty as ever."

She pretended to wince in pain and he quickly stroked her forehead. "I'm not naughty," Tang Li chuckled, "I'm just not as slow as them," She pointed her chin towards Mo siblings who were sitting on the couch.

Tang Yichen shrugged, "And we are bound to these slow people for this lifetime."

Tang Li smiled while shaking her head helplessly.
