Chapter 1087 How To Build A Law Matrix.
Legion-7 strings up the cosmic energy from the Authority of the Celestial Supreme into a tapestry with law fragments. He is the one with the best ability to manipulate law fragments. His manipulation is not perfect but he is the fastest at it.
The tree father has better manipulation of cosmic energy but he is slow. He can't keep up with the requirements for the law matrix but he helps to move things along by correcting small mistakes and making the threads of cosmic energy more malleable so that Legion-7 can manipulate them easily.
Legion-1 has to make sure that there is no resistance between his inner world and the budding law matrix while simultaneously reducing the backlash from the budding law matrix on his inner world. Every little addition to the middle layer is actually being engraved on his Origin core.
It is a very painful process and it is disorienting to Legion-1 but he has to endure it to maintain balance. If he doesn't, then the law matrix of the void universe will succeed in squashing their budding creation which will lead to the creation of the explosions that they dread so much.
Soverick is the main forger. He tracks every change with his eyes and transmits the information to others. This is to make sure that Legion-1 is not too accommodating to the budding law matrix at the exact same time that Legion-7 adds a very powerful portion of the law matrix while there is a surge or underflow of cosmic energy from the Authority of the Celestial Supreme.
It is very important for Legion-1 to be accommodating to the changes going on in his inner world. But he can't be too accommodating or he will allow room for the law matrix of the void universe to swing into action. They have to keep a tight lid on the boundaries of the budding law matrix because the law matrix of the void universe will always resist any other law matrix. That's why world gods need their supreme laws to contend with the universe.
They don't have a supreme law but they have an inner world. They just have to make sure that there are no gaps for the intervention of the void universe. If there is a gap in the accommodation and resistance of the inner world to the budding law matrix, then an explosion is what will occur next. As of now, those events haven't happened yet. So the middle part is still stable. The middle layer looks like a ball of yarn made of light of various colors weaved into parallel layers that look like stained glass panels. These parallel layers extend vertically from the inner core to the outer layer of the sphere.
There is space between each of the layers. This space is filled with golden lightning. The lightning is caused when the layers shift and vibrate across the space that connects them. The electromagnetic field holding the layers together to form the middle layer occasionally discharges electricity in the form of golden lightning.
The layers of woven glass must not touch each other. They must remain apart or the golden lightning will accumulate as they overcome the threshold potential. Then they will seek to leave the middle layer. There are only two directions for them to go and they will follow the path of least resistance which is the world around them. Hence, an explosion will occur.
It is Legion-9's job to keep the trillions of layers apart for more than a decade. His control of the Authority of the Celestial Supreme gives him privileged access to the middle layer from within. He keeps the layers apart by removing the wayward energy discharge that forms the golden lightning and maintaining the resistance between the layers.
He has been doing a good job of it for the 14 years that they have spent on building this version of the artifact. He doesn't get tired mentally but it is still very taxing. It is as if his and their existence are being stretched. It is not a wonder since they are trying to build something that no Origin god should be able to build.
If they succeed at all, it will be because they tried to build it within Legion-1's world. Trying to make it organic increased the difficulty for finesse but it also made it possible to build. Without the need to make the law matrix compatible with Legion-1, they wouldn't need to care about backlash. But they also won't have the necessary resistance needed to hold the law matrix in place while simultaneously fighting back the void universe.
They certainly don't have the power of a world god needed to both simultaneously craft and keep a law matrix in line. No amount of mind power for calculations and the ability to see reality the way Soverick does can overcome that requirement. Sometimes, the gap in power cannot be overcome by wisdom and intelligence. Only power will do. Building a world fragment is certainly one of those things.
So Legion is trying to do something that has never been done. They are trying to create a substitute law matrix to control the shard of power by building it within an inner world as a substitute for building it in the external world because they don't have power to and are hoping that they will get power if they succeed. What they are doing is crazy. But it is all for power. They are about to be done so they will know if they succeeded or not.
Legion-7 put the last layer of the law matrix after weaving it together. He was very careful in this action. He has to place it so that it doesn't touch the two other layers on both sides. But the gap for the layer is too thin for him to be certain if he is careful enough. He can only trust Soverick's eyesight for this.
