CH 73.1

Shiiiiick!

The demons soared into the air. And just like that, it was over. Truly over. The demons devoured the thieves in one bite and dragged them away.

‘Is this what hell looks like?’

The sight of people flying like leaves and falling from the sky like rain.

It was a sight one can’t even imagine in a dream.

“Come here. You’re soaked. Are these guys responsible?”

Collen embraced me. At that moment, I felt Kien, who had lost consciousness, twitching.

“Dad! Please let me go!”

I tugged at Collen’s collar.

In the moment of unconsciousness, Kien had a dream of the past.

A place known as the beehive. A narrow, dark burrow. In a place where only one flickering light resided, he received endless education.

Forced into faith and knowledge that helped with thievery. Until he was thirteen years old.

When he came out of the world like that, his body was big.

After that, for three years, he engaged in thievery following the teachings of the ‘sect’. But even he, who had experienced countless battles and hardships, had never seen a strange girl like this before.

‘What was that just now?’

As flames spewed from the small device held by the girl, he lost consciousness.

When he opened his eyes, the girl’s green eyes filled his vision. They were incredibly beautiful. At the same time, he felt something cold on his forehead.

The girl was pressing the device against his forehead.

“Are you awake?”

“Who are you?”

Kien quickly sat up.

“I’m Leticia. This is my gun.”

Leticia whispered.

“I don’t even know why I’m so concerned about this, but do you realize what a foolish thing you did?”

“What? What are you talking about?”

“I was surprised because you were much more difficult than I expected, that’s all.”

“What are you talking about, seriously!”

“What kind of religion teaches stealing as common sense? And you came out of the ‘beehive’ to survive? That’s ridiculous. Snap out of it and live properly, Kien!”

How does she know my name? That thought crossed Kien’s mind.

“Just think for yourself! You’re not just a follower, you’re not a traitor either. Betrayal is bad, but those who caused this situation are even worse!”

How does this kid know all of this?

Kien scrutinized her slowly.

Rosy cheeks. Big green eyes. Flowing strawberry-blonde hair.

In that moment, one of his companions flew past him and crashed into a door. The door swung open.

“Please, save me! Just spare my life, please!”

Kien turned his head. Through the open door, a massive painting caught Kien’s eyes.

[Goddess]

A large painting that closely resembled the girl named Leticia was spread out behind her.

“Goddess?”

“Yes?”

“Leticia, that’s enough.”

At that moment, a man approached from behind her.

“See you in prison. I won’t let you off easily.”

With red eyes and black hair, a tall man whispered. Kien’s consciousness faded once again.

The thieves, beaten to near-death by Collen until the moment of their demise, were piled up in a corner of the hall.

I put the gun back into my bag.

‘It’s the first time I’ve attacked a person.’

It really just knocks them out. I wiped my chest.

‘Of course, if I adjust the power, it can even cause unconsciousness, but I hope I won’t have to do that.’

Since the strange phenomenon I witnessed, I’ve been oddly concerned about Kien.

It’s not normal to resort to a suicide mission, taking people hostage and killing them. And the reason behind such abnormal behavior…

‘If he was indoctrinated by a religious group, it’s really pitiful.’

That was all.

Collen tightly bound Kien and handed him over to the guards.

“Are you okay, honey?”

And then Collen approached me.

“Yes, Dad. Thank you for coming to save me. How did you arrive at the perfect timing like this?”

If Collen hadn’t come in, there would have been a fight with the thieves. Even with my magic bullet gun, I wouldn’t have been able to withstand them with just one gun.

“One of the demons I have with me overheard the conversation outside and gave the signal.”

Collen briefly explained the situation.

He could have arrived immediately, but he was concerned about the hostages.

When I shot Kien, it distracted the thieves’ attention and Collen came in immediately.
