Chapter 447 Are You Even a Man?
"Wait, Celine! You might not remember me, but let me remind you. I am Benson Tawal from Blue City. I was there in the banquet that you were introducing the prominent beauty company that you had started in inchoate city!"
It was only now that Celine finally remembered this guy. They had met before, even before the banquet. And at the banquet, he had wanted to dance with her, but, at that time, she had subconsciously gone with Jack.
At that time, although it was true that their memories of each other had been sealed away, that did not imply that their feelings for each other had disappeared as well. During that banquet, after she saw that Jack was present, she decided to participate in the dancing.
In any case, she had previously not been planning to participate in something like that at all. So, since Jack was the cause, then, he had to take care of her.
But although it was true that she had remembered who this guy was, it was not like she had anything to do with him. It was this guy that was chasing after her, but, she did not like him, even before she met with Jack for the second time after a long time of separation.
So she completely ignored this guy. Anyway, she still had a lot of things that she wanted to buy. They were supposed to leave soon, so, the better arrangements she made, the better her situation would be after she reached the stronghold.
When Ben realized that Celine had completely ignored him, he got frustrated. He had made many arrangements for this confession. Not only did he spend a lot of money for the preparation of that banner, but, even in the crowd, he had come with a group of people that had started the shouting, trying to pressurize Celine to say yes.
But it seems that all the efforts that he had put in, in order to try and convince Celine to become his girlfriend, had gone to a drain. But, he was unwilling to accept that.
This was not just a matter of not getting what he wanted, but, he had been completely ignored in front of such a large crowd. So, in order to maintain his face, he had to make sure that he got Celine to agree to go on a date with him. That was the least that he could tolerate.
Without hesitation, he rushed forward and blocked Celine's path. He looked at Celine and said, "Look here Celine, I have put in a lot of effort simply because I love you. Why don't you appreciate my efforts? Can you at least agree to go on a date with me? I will treat you to lunch today."
Celine's expression shifted a little. She did not expect that even after ignoring this guy, he was going to come over and continue pestering her. Other than the fact that he had just been slandering Jack, he still did not want to give up despite the fact that she had told him that she was already taken.
Looking at the expression that was on Ben's face, it was clear that he was relentless, unwilling to give up. Anyway, Celine was not willing to do anything with this guy. She still wanted to continue shopping. So, she ignored him once again, and decided to pass on the side.
But, this guy went ahead and blocked her again. This time, Celine's expression became cold. "Can you get out of my way?" Celine asked coldly.
"I am not getting out of here unless you agree to..." Ben gritted his teeth and replied. Despite the fact that he knew that his family might actually be more influential than Celine's, he was not willing to use force on her.
It might be true that during the first times that they had met, he had been intending to get her because he thought that she was a perfect match for him. If the two of them combined their brains together, it would not be a difficult task for them to increase the wealth of their families.
But, after he lost a bet to Jack, then compensated him according to the agreement, he left inchoate city. And after that day, he had never seen Celine again. But still, she never escaped from his heart.
Due to the distance between them, the love that he was having for her suddenly began blooming. Then, it intensified during the past few months. And, after his uncle became an assistant manager in one of the Glaze hotel's branches, the influence that his family possessed increased.
Additionally, his father decided to go back to the family. And with that, the influence that he possessed had actually shot up. Moreover, they had decided that he was going to lead the big family in the future.
Now, since he was possessing great influence, he was no longer feeling that he did not have a good chance at getting Celine. After all, previously, there was a difference in terms of social status between him and Celine. And, he was the inferior one.
He did a lot of research, and after ensuring that she was no longer in inchoate city, he decided to come and look for her in the city. But, it was difficult to find a person in an entire city, more so if one didn't have their contact number.
Today, he had just been here to try and look for her traces. And when he found her, he was excited. It was a good thing that he always made sure that wherever he went, he prepared everything for his confession. And that was why everything went as he had planned, but the results were not as he had been expecting.
Benson was just about to say that he was not going to get out of Celine's way unless she agreed to go out on a date with him, when he was suddenly interrupted by a punch on the face.
The punch contained incredible strength that it sent Benson stumbling to the side. He looked up furiously, and he was surprised to find that it was the newcomer that had punched him.
He was already furious at the fact that this guy had come over to interrupt his confession. But now, this guy actually had the audacity to punch him on the face? And also, it was in public!
Rather than talking nonsense, Benson folded the sleeves of his shirt, before rushing forward. To him, there was no need to continue talking nonsense with this guy. Since he was the one that had attacked first, then, he was going to return the favor.
Additionally, since words could not make Celine change her mind, then, perhaps by showing how strong he was, in front of her, she might actually agree to go on a date with him. He did not expect that she was going to love him on the spot. But, he was going to take baby steps now that his grand plan had failed.
"What an idiot." When the other young man realized that Ben was going to attack him, he shook his head and said in a low voice.
After that, he completely ignored Ben and looked at Celine. There was a bright light inside his eyes as he looked at her. To say the truth, he was completely impressed by the beauty in front of him.
On the other hand, when Ben realized that this guy was not even paying attention to him, he became excited. He was not a person that usually played according to the rules. So, since this guy had decided to leave an opening for him, then, he was going to use it.
Clenching his fist tightly, he punched towards the guy's face. Since this guy had punched him in the face, then, if he managed to destroy this guy's face, his own face that was currently slightly red, due to the punch, was going to look better.
Just as he was expecting that the punch was going to land on the side of the face of the guy, he suddenly realized that his wrist had been grabbed. Additionally, his fist did not land at all.
Aargh!
Benson was so shocked. He did not even see what happened before his wrist was grabbed. But, he was brought out of his stupor by the pain that was coming from his wrist.
The young man in front of him was holding his wrist tightly. His fingers were tightly wrapped around his wrist as if they were a pair of pliers. And, the strength that was contained inside those fingers as they held his wrist was incredible.
"You already heard what she said. She said that she has already been taken. What is wrong with you? Or is there perhaps something wrong with your ears? If she is taken, you are not supposed to go and try asking her out for a date." The young man said in a composed voice.
At the same time as he was talking, he began twisting the wrist that he was holding, making Ben grimace in pain. Due to the intense pain that was coming from the twisting, Ben was forced to kneel onto the ground.
Although it was embarrassing, he had no choice. This was the only way that he had realized that he could relieve the pain that he was feeling.
"Let go of my hand now!" Benson shouted in both anger and pain. Although he had trained a little about fighting, he had not actually experienced much pain. This was the first time.
"Just look at you. It was not long ago that you were claiming that you were better than someone else. But now, you are kneeling on the ground, asking me to release you. Are you even a man?
You are supposed to try and make sure that I release you, rather than trying to threaten me with words. I already told you that I am not afraid of trouble." The young man completely ignored the shout as he continued talking, as if he was educating a child.
"I'm so envious. So many people are fighting for you. But I am pitifully single." Angy stated with not even a shred of envy or pity in her eyes.
