The moment that the two fists collided with each other, there was a loud sound of collision. And in the next moment, the clear sound of a bone crisply breaking could be heard.

Jack on the other hand looked at the old man as if he was looking at an idiot. Of course, he already knew that the old man was at the third stage of the superhuman level. Still, he was not afraid.
It might actually be true that he was not capable of defeating the old man, but, that did not imply that he was not capable of fighting against him. Additionally, it was not guaranteed that the old man was capable of defeating him.

Since he had already been entering the Stronghold for the past 3 years, he had of course heard of several types of medicines and serums. So, he felt that this was a chance that was not supposed to be wasted.
