CH 1

Prologue

Reputation. That is a function that only exists in the race of man. Grades, Ways of life, Relationship, they are the absolute factors that determine superiority or inferiority.

If you can work then you are competent, if you can not, you are incompetent.

If your test score is high, you are amazing, if it’s low, you are good for nothing.

If you have a good personality, you will be liked, and if you have a bad personality, you will be disliked.

If you are cute or cool then you will be loved but if you are ugly then you will be hated and avoided.

No one knows who created them but there are standards like these in the reputation system.

However, celebrities have their haters and computers have viruses.

In any system, no matter how elaborate, there are these uncertainties that could be called rebellious elements.

Working too much, your test score is too good, your personality is too good, too cool, too cute. These things will make someone secretly resent or jealous of you.

Even if such rebellious elements or uncertain factors present themselves in a person who is perfect in every way such as their appearance or personality, nothing bad would happen to them.

However, there are only a few people who are so perfect. People definitely have their own shortcomings.

If flaws like clumsiness or forgetfulness exist in a person that is 99% perfect, those flaws would still be embraced by others.

In such a case, those people will be cutely described as Dojikko(Cute clumsy girl) or a natural airhead.

But what if that 1% is something like shyness or lack of communication skills? That’s easy.

They will be bullied or shunned. It is said that a protruding nail will be hammered down but when you hit a nail, some nails just can’t be hammered down nor pulled out.

Still, it is unlikely that such a nail would exist in an adult society where people already are experienced in life.

If you don’t end up working for a black company (TLN: slaver driver company like my old one.) such a nail would be so robust that it won’t bend no matter how many times it got struck.

However, in a society that is the absolute first one that you can gain such experiences from like a school, it is not a society that relies on pure power but that of influential power.

Because I was told, Because I heard from a guy, Because that person is different from anyone else.

The only foreigner in the class, the extremely small classmate, the balloony belly classmate.

Whether because they looked unusual or simply weird, tiny or cute, fat or chubby, all of these people are judged by people with influence.

Hiura Seiya, who was isolated in the past because he had no such influence earnestly yearned for a normal daily life while his other self Kamishiro Kousei who wanted to hold such an influence became a model.
