A Chance Meeting
When I turned around, I was greeted by a familiar face. The person that I meet quite frequently both as Hiura Seiya and Kamishiro Kousei.
“Asakura……Asuka…..?”
I don’t know if that voice belongs to Eihashi-san or Ichinose-san but right now Suzuka is in front of me.
I certainly heard that she planned to visit the festival today but I didn’t expect to meet her like this.
“Yahoo, Seiya-kun. I didn’t expect to meet you like this today! And everyone in your group came in yukatas huh! I’m the only one in my group though…….how is it? Does it look good on me”
“It looks really good on you but more importantly……I don’t see anyone with you. Didn’t you say that you came here with your friends?”
“We got split up on the street so I am trying to find them now! …..Ah, Don’t worry, okay? My group is almost all girls and the only boy already has a girlfriend too!”
“Uhh, why are you bringing that up……”
Suzuka said all that but I don’t particularly care whether she comes here with her other male friends or not. I know that Suzuka is not a fickle person that would change her feelings that easily. Also, she’s not my girlfriend.
Or if I have to put it inconsiderately, I have no place to say anything if Suzuka made herself a boyfriend.
“I mean, I did confess to Seiya-kun, right? That’s why I have to make it clear that my eyes are only on you, Seiya-kun!”
“You sure said it so openly huh…..”
“No, it’s actually pretty embarrassing, you know? So—”
“—Asuka-san confessed?”
It was Ichinose-san who raised her voice. Well, even if she knows my secret now, the fact that Asakura Asuka confessed to Kamishiro Kousei must come as a big surprise for her.
“Eh, does that mean, you and Hiura-kun are dating!? No way! Th, Then—-”
“—-calm down. Your imaginations are running wild, Ichinose-san. You too, Misaki. I am not dating anyone right now.”
“Wha! Onii-chan! You don’t have to include me right!”
Misaki tried to protest but I still haven’t forgotten her panic with Eihashi-san at the mall the other day. Eihashi-san also seems to have recovered and is now looking alternatively at me and Suzuka.
“You’ve been calling me Asuka since earlier but my real name is Ishizu Suzuka you know. You can call me Suzuka!”
“Eh, wait a minute. I’m so confused right now so can you give me some time to process this.”
“Well, a lot happened today after all.”
“….I think Seiya is 90 percent to blame for everything that happened today though.”
That’s rude, Masato. After all, the earlier incident was due to Misaki teasing Eihashi-san leading to me coming out as Kamishiro Kousei right.
I mean, the Hiura sibling is practically the cause of everything but it’s not my fault alone okay.
“….Suzuka-san…..can I call you that?”
“Nn? I don’t mind?”
“…..For protecting us at the pool the other day, thank you very much.”
“Eh? Ahh! I thought that you looked familiar but you are the two girls from back then! I’m sorry, I couldn’t tell since the impression from the swimsuit and yukata are completely different! Also, I couldn’t do anything back then. If you want to thank someone then thank Seiya-kun instead.”
“No! I think that it was because Suzuka-san was there that we came out unharmed. So, please let me thank you, Suzuka-san.”
“M, Me too! Thank you for saving us! Hiura-kun too, let me thank you again…..!”
“S, Stop that! It’s not a big deal right!”
I glanced at Suzuka who got all flustered when the two bowed their heads and thanked her.
Misaki and Masato who don’t know about what happened at the pool seem to be curious about it but I’m not going to share a boring story about when I got punched though.
Masato is good at reading the air and seems to get the general idea of what happened from how the three of them are acting but he didn’t say anything more.
Rather, I’m a little annoyed because he’s grinning at me now.
Then, Eihashi-san raised her head and looked at Suzuka with a determined expression.
“Leaving that aside, I have something to talk to you about, Suzuka-san. Is that okay?”
“…..that talk, it’s probably something that we can’t do here. Do I get that right?”
“Yes. it is as you said.”
“Then let’s go talk over there for a bit.”
“Let’s do……I’m going to talk to Suzuka-san for a while. Everyone, please wait here.”
“Yeah, good luck.”
“Reika!…..do your best……!”
Ichinose-san is cheering for Eihashi-san but honestly, I don’t know what they are going to talk about and why it required her to do her best. Well, it doesn’t seem like they are going to quarrel so I guess it’s fine to let them be..
“I wonder what they are going to talk about?”
“You won’t understand, Onii-chan.”
“You don’t know? Hiura-kun.”
“Seiya can be quite dense after all.”
“Do you all really need to go that far!?”
Everyone except me seems to knows what they are going to talk about but I’m still completely clueless.
