With the thought of seeing Xie Wuan soon, her heart leapt a few times, brimming with impatience. The blinding white light in front of her eyes became gentle, almost lovely, as she thought of their reunion.

After the white light faded, Lin Xinghe observed the surrounding environment.

Compared to the odd and dangerous environments of the first two mini-exams, it was unexpectedly calm.

The surrounding area had countless rows of peach trees, bright blossoms filling the air with their scent for miles.

Although she had seen much beautiful scenery before, Lin Xinghe could not help but marvel at the colors.

Maintaining her vigilance, she only let herself be absorbed by the scenery for a moment before checking her belongings.  Principal Wang actually generously did not ban her phone, but the bracelet and interplanar mall were still inaccessible. Lin Xinghe tried to contact Xie Wuan, who didn’t reply to her, and she didn’t hear anything from Xie Wuan’s heart.

Peach blossoms were blooming all over the mountain.

There was a stone staircase carved into the mountains, and Lin Xinghe was located halfway up.

Because she could access her portable space, she took out her magic broom and efficiently flew straight to the top of the mountain.

The mountain wasn’t extremely tall, but its peak was high enough to overlook the scenery below.

The road down the mountain was quite smooth, and after a small hilly area, Lin Xinghe made out a small town. There were no modern facilities on the mountain, and Lin Xinghe immediately ruled out the background of modern society. Now that she saw the town outside the mountain and a few figures flying with swords in the distant sky, she knew that this mini-exam was set in a xianxia world.

Although she had never been to a xianxia exam, she had experienced xianxia novels before, so she was not unfamiliar with such a setting.

She pondered slightly and rode her magic broomstick downward, setting off for the town in the distance.

She hadn’t seen anyone in the peach blossom forest, and besides, she didn’t know if there were ghosts, demons, devils, and spirits that she definitely couldn’t beat by herself. It was much more advantageous for her to purchase clothes and news to gather the plot.

Lin Xinghe had just flown a short distance when she saw a snow-white figure scurry out of the peach blossom forest.

Her figure gave a lurch and her broom stopped.

The audience also froze.

【Is that …… Xiao Xue Ji?】

【No way, it’s just an ordinary ragdoll cat ……】

【They look exactly the same, fur color, eye color, body size!】

【The boss of this small examination room is Xiao Xue Ji?】

【…… This does look like something Principal Wang could do.】

Lin Xinghe quickly reacted, pulling her phone out and silently taking pictures.

…… They were really identical.

…… Her Xiao Xue Ji was born indistinguishable. Others may not know, but she did know that there was no ragdoll cat at all, it was just the same ragdoll cat as the interplanar mall model.

Everyone watching her livestream was staring at the ragdoll cat in the peach blossom forest. They all believed that Xiao Xue Ji was a normal ragdoll cat that had eaten one of Xie Wuan’s Jinwudan and could shapeshift at will. This cat was no different, shifting from white cat to white fox to white snow leopard.

In just five minutes, it seamlessly transformed into more than a dozen animals, including demonic creatures that were only found in xianxia settings.

Finally, it finally got tired of playing and changed back to the ragdoll cat, jumped on a peach tree, and broke off a branch with its jaws. Branch in mouth, it leapt up the stone steps.

Lin Xinghe quietly followed.

Near the top of the mountain, it suddenly left the stone steps and scampered onto a trail.

Lin Xinghe was sure of one thing—she had just flown high in the sky looking out over the whole hill and hadn’t noticed this trail at all. The trail had only suddenly appeared when the rRagdoll cat scurried up, and it seemed like it was protected by a barrier.

Lin Xinghe stored the magic broom into her space and followed on foot.

In the peach blossom forest, the scenery was still a bright spring. However, deep on the trail, there was no sunlight. The temperature dropped, the light was dim, and there was a wind, the branches’ swaying shadows like those of ghosts.

At the end of the path, there was an ancient well.

The well was surrounded by five stone statues, each of which was smothered with thick chains and connected to the dry well in the middle.

Above the well were layers of iron chains, plastered with various kinds of charms and talismans.

The ragdoll cat skilfully jumped onto the ancient well, stepped on the iron chain, clawed apart the layers of iron chains, and dropped the blossoming peach tree branch into the well.
