Chapter 348: It will be a sleepless night!

He had never been alone in his life until this day. It would be either his father, Xaya or sister that spent time with him. But today, Kuro finally spent a lot of time in the darkness alone and found out that loneliness was just too unsettling.

He hugged his father tightly and didn't let his clothes go!

"We are in the safe spot, Kuro. Look." Kyoya ruffled his son's hair, then the small wolf peeked through his shoulder at the sky. It was no longer chaotic, but dark clouds teemed above them nonetheless.

However, Kyoya trod closer to the floating island's cliff and looked below. His son followed his gaze.

"Wow..." Kuro absentmindedly glanced around. The chaos was relentless and continued to spit out its eerie content, but Kuro was amazed by how high he was. He stood atop everyone, on the safe island that was secured by his father.

Feeling both happy and amazed, Kuro pointed out at the silver deer people. They were also trying to reach the islands, feeling that this would be their saving spot. However, they had yet to reach the ticket here and their struggles continued on the rampaging ground.

Kuro asked, "Don't you want to help them, father?"

"We just secured this island for ourselves, Kuro. And, the first thing I thought about was you." Kyoya made it clear who was the most important to him and rubbed his son's nose. The small wolf's eyes welled up with tears, then his head yet again disappeared within Kyoya's clothes.

Kyoya faintly laughed, "We will save them, but we aren't machines with unlimited energy supplies."

"What are machines?" Kuro asked.

"Oh, you will know in the future. I am sure of it... Your grandma will introduce you to this kind of world." Kyoya patted his son's back, then turned around. "The one who did the most work here was Aunt Xiaoxiao and... Aunt Akaro."

"Aunt Akaro?" Kuro was yet again forced to peek outside. He spotted the goddess sitting on the bench with her energies nearly depleted. With her closed eyes, Akaro looked like someone holy and unapproachable, but Kuro asked, "Akaro is a cat!"

"No, no, no! Haha! She is our goddess and your aunt." Kyoya laughed out loud and whispered, "Can't you also turn into a wolf?"

"Ah." Kuro understood and nodded. He was also smart enough to not ask for Akaro's reason to hide her human self. The world was filled with dangers and limitations and he already knew that his father wasn't the creator.

Aunt Akaro must have had her own struggles!

Kyoya left Kuro in Xiaoxiao's hands, then sat down near his goddess, "Akaro."

He whispered and waited for her eyes to open, "You damn tsundere. My and your quest is the same. Why did you work so hard?"

"No particular reason."

"Didn't I give you the right to choose our first night? If you want a hug, then just ask." Kyoya sighed and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "I enjoyed looking over you two fighting and supporting each other together." Akaro and Xiaoxiao's joint battle and help was a feast to the husband's eyes.

He felt like Akaro finally didn't hold herself back and became an important part of his family.

"I also don't mind some quests. Just don't leave others disappointed, haha." The husband laughed and stroked Akaro's hair while no one looked.

She didn't say anything, but brought herself closer to him.

"Do you know the origin of those orbs and what they are used for?" She asked while her hair danced.

The husband replied, "Yeah, I also have the troll's souls. They are no longer the enemies, but it won't be that easy with the world... I mean, the world has no souls and all other elements have pervaded its soil..."

Akaro shifted her eyes to him, "Their bodies aren't stable and so are their souls. However, if there is someone who can find the balance in these hybrid concepts and bless others with it, then it's only you. As a human, I guess you should focus on humans and make them become a significant part of the divine lands."

"I am not a humanity hero, Akaro... And we have yet to see what big stamp the sixth death god's disappearance left on humanity...." Kyoya wouldn't take such a burden anyway! He would rather pass back the death god's divine energies back to him... If he were forced to become a hero!

The husband and Akaro spent some time together, discussing all possible routes they could take in this chaotic world. The gods wanted everyone to become hybrid and reach new concepts and understanding.

However, why did they drag the whole floor into their stupid and greedy schemes? The answer was that they just didn't care. In the plight, each race would evolve to make sure they could stay alive and become the new leader to guide their people.

And weaker people had no right to complain!

Kyoya didn't want such responsibility, but he was eager to help Silver Win Deer to get a new home. This floating island was the first step to this goal...

"I will prepare to bring all those people here. Was that enough cuddling?" Kyoya combed Akaro's hair, making her look proper as the goddess should look. His question received a deep glance.

"It was enough." She replied.

"Well, it wasn't enough for me. As we, humans, have to rest every night, I hope Akaro will keep her human form and cuddle with me tonight. Though I won't be angry if you say no." Kyoya didn't want to push his limits. All he ever received was cuddling and it should be enough for a mortal such as him.

Akaro's lips curved up and she said, "Not today, the husband."

"Tsundere." Kyoya giggled and escaped before Akaro could smack his head.

He appeared on the island's cliff yet again, then looked below at the rampant world. His hands reached out to his inventory, then the sky flashed with blue thunder.

"I don't mind having this night sleepless." Kyoya looked at all the lightning eagles gathering at the sky with narrowed eyes.

Their strength peaked at 50th floor, but he wouldn't give them his secured spot!
