42 Eternally Together!
Fang Li’s eyes welled up with tears but rather than crying, she chose to harden her heart and decided to not waste her precious tears on something so insignificant.
If the other people believe such lies, that does not mean that she is the wrong one. It’s just.....they failed to recognize the diamond and chose a fake glass stone that appears to be shinier than her.
She knows how hard she worked to reach this level and this controversy does not change the fact that she is amazing and has won all the gold medals and trophies because of her hard work and not because of some performance-enhancing drugs.
If they want to believe the lies, then there is nothing she can do. Time will prove her innocence itself.
After calming down, she could not help but scoff at the dirty play of her fate or rather the dirty tricks played by some insecure people.
A few days ago, everyone was talking about how she has reached the peak of her career and will only gain more recognition in the future, however, everything crumbled in an instant.

Devastated by her messy fate, Fang Li was about to leave the office when the coach stopped her, ” Fang Li, I hate to say this. However, since your contract with the team has ended, I want you to leave the dorm by tomorrow.”
” The room needs to be renovated for the new trainees to move into.”
The indifferent words of her coach were like a ruthless punch in her heart. She has been using that dorm room since the day she first won the National championship for the team.
Unlike the other athletes, she was given a special chance to choose her room and her roommate first. She always chose that room and never moved to another dorm room even though she could afford to move to a better place considering her achievements.
Because to her, that room was not just a dorm room but a place where she had made so many memories.
That room has seen her exhausting, dead-tired days after hours of training and happy days when she came back from the competitions, after winning the Gold Medal.
That room was also like a symbol of her friendship with Ye Lei. But it seems like, along with her friendship with Ye Lei, it’s time to say goodbye to that dorm room as well.
” Hah! Why am I not even surprised after hearing this? The least they could have done was to give me a few days to move out. But it seems like everyone is in a hurry to remove me from this team. Well, Congratulations!”
” I do not want to stay on this team anymore. I will leave the room by tomorrow. I don’t want to stay for long in that tiny-disgusting room as well. It stinks you see.” She said coldly, feeling annoyed at the hastiness of the officials.
‘Is she some trash that they’re throwing out like this?’
” Coach, Thank you for taking good care of me until the end. I hope you will never find a player like ME. Because you guys don’t deserve such players.” She said seriously while hiding a pinch of sarcasm in it.
What was the use of taking care of her all this while when everyone abandoned her when she was at the bottom of her career?
Let’s see if the team can manage to get gold medals in future games or not. Fang Li scoffed, feeling pity for the coach more than herself as the next competition is in just two months and he already lost his ace player.

After thanking him, Fang Li did not even look at him and left. She likes her coach but this incident also reminded her that everyone is capable of turning their backs on you when you need their support the most.
Nothing is permanent.

” I can’t believe I never came to this place before. Why is this so beautifully depressing?” Fang Li sighed heavily as she sat near the lakeside and was gazing at the reflection of the moon and the tree in the lake.
She was carrying a heavy plastic bag filled with beer cans and snacks that she bought for herself to drink at the dorm.
Since today is her last day at the dorm, she wanted to put an end to this journey of hers without any regret.
She always wanted to go out with her friends and drink until she passed out. But she never got a chance to do so to get crazily drunk.
She sometimes drinks with friends after the game ends but never passes out due to excessive drinking because she always has to control her portion.
Why? Because she needed to train for the competitions and as an archery athlete, she wasn’t allowed to drink alcohol near the game period as it affects the athlete’s performance.
That’s why she only drinks 1-2 times a year. However, this year she did not get to drink even for once because they were planning to go drinking after she wins the gold medal at the competition.
She won the gold medal but never got to celebrate her victory with her teammates.
Hah! She cannot even call it a victory anymore. Because they snatched her Gold Medal away from her.
“FANG LI!! YOU’RE THE BEST. YOU CAN DO IT. GO GO!!” She shouted as this was the last thing she could do for herself.
Because she only has herself who can cheer on her during this struggling period. When everyone was wishing for her doom, at least she should be the one to cheer for her.
Fang Li panted after shouting loudly until she could hear her vague echo. A smile appeared on her lips to see the bright moon shining above her and could hear the echo of her words.
” Looks like even the moon is cheering on me. FANG LI, LET’S GO AND DRINK UNTIL YOU PASS OUT. Let’s Get Drunk And Die!!” She shouted and tried to hype up the tension.
She was about to leave the lakeside when she stepped onto something.
She frowned as it was not a small rock or something but it looked like a book. Oh! Who dropped their book near the lakeside? She wondered.
She squatted down and picked up the book to see any contact information on the book.
“ETERNALLY TOGETHER?” She raised her brows in amazement when she read the title of the book. Is it romance fiction?
” Waah! It looks like a very old, antique type of book.” She murmured as she was awed by the old and unique cover design of the book.
Such books are so difficult to find these days.
” Since there is no contact information on the book, should I take it with me? It looks like a fun read.” In the end, Fang Li decided to take the book with her.
She needed someone to accompany her tonight so that she could not lose her sanity and go and stab Ye Lei to death. Seems like tonight this book will listen to her sorrowful story without lecturing her about anything.
At least she got a friend, even though it’s equivalent to nothing. But something is still better than nothing.

” My lady, Please wake up.”
“My lady, you should wake up and get ready. The sky has brightened up already. My lady?” Xiaowei shook Yang Ning who was sound asleep as she tried to wake her up.
In the past, Yang Ning used to wake up at dawn and get ready before the sun rises in the sky, is now sleeping as if she has no intention to wake up anytime soon.
” This won’t do. Looks like I have to do something to wake her up.”
Xiaowei took a deep breath and took a minute to think of a way to wake Yang Ning up.

Yang Ning frowned and pursed her lips as she squirmed in her sleep. She slapped her face in her sleep as she cried out, ” Argh!! This noisy mosquito!”
Xiaowei who was sitting next to Yang Ning’s bed and was whispering in Yang Ning’s ears while blowing air giggled to see her lady hitting herself in her sleep yet not waking up.
Xiaowei cleared her throat and continued to blow air in Yang Ning’s ears to annoy her so much that she could wake up on her own. This was the best idea to wake her up without wasting unnecessary energy of hers.
An annoyed frown formed on Yang Ning’s forehead as the mosquito was going out of control to annoy her.
She gritted her teeth, ” BLOODY MOSQUITO!!” She growled before slapping hard to kill the hateful mosquito who was buzzing in her ears.
” AHHH!! MY LADY?” Xiaowei shouted in shock and pain when Yang Ning slapped her on the face.
How can she slap her so hard even while sleeping?
Yang Ning snapped her eyes open when she heard Xiaowei’s shriek. She looked at her with her sleepy and tired eyes and sighed in disappointment, ” Ah! So I am still here.”
” By the way, why are you sitting on the ground? Also, why are you holding your face like that?” Yang Ning asked while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
