Chapter 57 C-Rank Dungeon With A Party (2)
Our battle with the giant centipede continued.
Not like, we could just run now, even if we could, that would be a waste for me. It does look dangerous, more dangerous than any monster I have encountered. But, I haven't shown my other D-rank skill, E-rank skill, and even F-rank skill to the teammates, so I should select which skill I should use to defeat it.
While I was pondering, the centipede rushed at us. Ben took out another armor from his storage ring and blocked it, but his feet bragged back, and he gritted his teeth. His strength was pretty lacking, I was certain of it.
Since the centipede lived in the desert, it could be said that it has been living in a hot place, so ice and electricity should be perfect for it.
I didn't cast a rune of curse as it couldn't be stacked. If it could stack and decrease the stats of enemies per cast, I wouldn't have to be even scared of A-rank monsters.
I stayed behind with Rina and cast Electric Ball. Tens of electric balls were fired at the centipede which was busy fighting with Rehan and Ben.
The electricity zapped the centipede, but it couldn't hold it for more than 5 seconds. Small damage was caused to it.
Rehan cast his skill and his spear glowed red. Another spear made up of red light covered the metal spear and as he threw the spear at the centipede, it zoomed toward the centipede.
The energy spear shattered the centipede's defense and the metal spear stabbed its skin. A painful shrill was left from the centipede's mouth.
Ben also cast his skill and his body glowed. His muscle bugled despite that his strength was lowered than the centipede.
Ben cast another skill, his shield twinkled and this time, he blocked the centipede's attack successfully. Ben still gritted his teeth, his veins popped from his hands and forehead.
Rehan used another spell. He took out three spears from his storage ring and threw them toward the centipede while casting his skill.
The three spears merged into one another and created a big spear.
It stabbed the centipede and exploded.
A small crack appeared on the centipede's body.
Rina also cast her skill. She fired five arrows and cast two skills.
Firstly, her arrows doubled, not tripled. And then, these arrows glow bright red. They all stabbed the centipede.
The centipede experience pain and tried to run. But, Ben jumped using his skill. His jump was higher. He cast some skill, and his hand was covered by blue light which took the shape of a human fist
Ben roared like a lion and punched the centipede.
His punch threw the centipede off-guard and the shell around its face was shattered revealing black meat.
Its face hit the sand and before we could attack, the centipede escaped inside the sand.
Rehan was breathing heavily, and so were Rina and Ben.
The centipede appeared after some time.
This time, the centipede didn't attack us forwardly. Shooting balls of light, shooting lasers, and trying to attack sneakily, the centipede used other forms of attack.
Ben, Rehan, Rina, and I used different skills. While they were exhausted and their situation was becoming serious, I was perfectly fine, a little bored.
But, since my life was on the line, I had to be attentive.
Ben collapsed first, Rehan second, and Rina third. The centipede had many serious injuries all over its body, but when it saw all of the people falling to the ground, its body wiggled.
They lost their consciousness and seeing them drop dead, I smiled.
They didn't die technically, so I ignored them and faced the centipede.
The centipede hid under the sand and tried to sneak attack me. But, lighting strike, strengthen, explosion, first orb, collapsing star, firebolt, electric ball, all of them were thrown around me.
The centipede was in horror when it saw countless attacks coming at it. It escaped again under the sand and tried to attack my teammates. I used a ball of protection to create a ball of defense, it would be weak against the monster, but it was better than nothing.
As the centipede appeared from the ground, I cast ice storm and electric shock.
Centipede's body froze not in ice but due to electricity. While it was paralyzed for some seconds, |I cast many skills on top of its head.
Like rain poured continuously on the ground, many balls of fire, ice, and electricity fell continuously on the centipede's head.
It didn't take much for the centipede to collapse as it was both exhausted and injured.
It was at its end, but still not dead. So, I cast hundreds of collapsing stars and threw them at the centipede's head.
The centipede's head exploded and our battle ceased.
Its body disappeared and three things dropped.
A C-rank core, an item, and a skill book!
Skill book, that was what I wanted.
I ignored other things and took the skill book.

The description was normal, but it was freaking C-rank skill!
I learned it without any hesitation.
Later, I rolled my teammates out of the dungeon. Since they were in a ball, so I could roll them.

Leaving them, I again went to the C-rank dungeon.
In the large place, I barely stumbled with other hunters. Monsters were pretty easy to stumble. Killing them was a breeze since I already knew their attack pattern.
With spamming skills, I cleared the area in some minutes.
I took the cores and threw them on my storage ring.
I arrived at the center. I used swords of light and lighting strike along with ice storm. Light emitted from my hands accumulated in the air and took the shape of a sword. The sword was shot at the monster. With a single hit, the monster was stabbed from inside to out.
I reach the boss area and face the giant centipede.
The centipede attacked me mercilessly, but I dodged them.
Using most of my C-rank skills and some D-rank skill, I defeated the centipede. Well, I got some injury this time.
Facing C-rank was a little dangerous for me, but not too serious. Thanks to my small healing and regeneration, the wound healed in seconds. I could see the healing process with naked eyes.
After that, I walked to the hotel and entered my room.
I absorb D and C-rank core and increased my stats. With both D and C-rank cores, I broke my stats into 100.

Well, the damage it causes is sure huge. It can even kill a B-rank monster with a single hit, or so they say which is a little doubting.
I bought the skill and share the address for it to deliver. Since it is home delivery, I won't have to pay in advance.
My skill came after 5 hours, and I learned it happily. I was so excited to check its effect at the dungeon tomorrow.
