Chapter 67 Prologue: Inhuman Pain

A boy was standing in front of a huge dungeon with an emotionless face. The boy has white skin, silver hair, aqua eyes, and a cute face.

He is very cute, if it not for his emotionless face then he would be called an idol. He was 16 years old.

He was standing in front of the huge dungeon, looking here and there. He was scanning his surrounding to be aware of any threats and monsters.

The surrounding near the dungeon was hell. Dead bodies of humans, monsters, and local beasts were all scattered in the ground. The blood of those beings made the land red, totally covering its soil with the blood.

'There are many monster bodies here, if I had a storage ring or storage skill then I could take these bodies and sell them for a huge amount of money.'

The boy was thinking while putting his hand on his chin and gently rubbing as to show how much deep he is thinking.

After thinking for a while, he walked towards the entrance of the huge dungeon. The huge dungeon generally looked like a cave. There were two dragon statues just beside the entrance of the dungeon. Those dragons were sitting on the stone with their eye closed.

The boy saw them and thought 'They looked like they are guarding this place. Are they like living statues or just normal statues?'

The boy looked at the statues for a moment but soon ignore them and looked at the entrance. The entrance of the huge dungeon was also huge. There was no door, no stone nor anything blocking it.

The entrance was open. Without a care, the boy walked inside the dungeon. The inside of the dungeon was completely opposite from its outside.

The whole dungeon was paved with stone from land to ceilings. There was no blood, no dead bodies nor any harmful energies. It was like, he just teleported into another place.

But, the boy didn't care about it. He walked inside with his emotionless face. He was not excited nor surprised.

After walking for some minutes, he arrived in front of a door. The door was not huge, nor have anything different. The door looked like a completely normal and average door.

The boy push the door but the door didn't budge. He pushed again with all of his energy but the door didn't even shake. The boy felt the heaviness of the door.

The door was heavy like it was made of Platinum. Platinum, one of the world's heaviest metals. The boy looked around the door, hoping to find anything to open the door.

And just at the side of the door, there was a box with its top open. The boy walked there and looked at it.

There was a red button inside the box. The boy pressed the button without any hesitation.

*thud* *thud*

The platinum door started to move inside the ground. After the door completely got inside the ground, the boy moved inside.

The boy finally showed emotion when he looked inside the door. His eyes were wide open and his jaw dropped. He just stared at the room.

There were no doors on this area indication this was the final or last room of this dungeon. The last room was beautiful. Many different stones, marvels, and jewelry were used to make the wall, ground, and ceiling. There was nothing inside the room expect of a stone tablet at the end of the room.

The boy was disappointed. He sighed and walked over to the stone tablet. The boy carefully looked at the stone tablet to not miss anything.

There were many writings on the stone tablet. It looked like runes were imprinted in them. The boy carefully examined the stone tablet but soon became disappointed as he didn't find anything.

He again carefully examined the words to get any clues. There was a line at the corner of the stone tablet which caught the eye of the boy. 'Offer your blood to the stone tablet.'

This was the only line that the boy understood. He thought for a while.

'I have come here and didn't find anything useful. If I don't get anything from this stone tablet then-'

The boy quickly cut his hand with a knife he brought with him to protect himself. The boy felt a little pain in his hand as the blood slowly dripped on the stone tablet.

*Shine*

A bright light shined and covered the vision of the boy.

The runes that were imprinted upon the stone tablet were flowing in the air. The runes flew over to the boy and got imprinted upon his body.

The boy's body glowed as the stone tablet turned into Energy. The stone tablet quickly turned into energy and flowed into the boy's body.

The whole room also glowed and all the stones, marvels, and jewelry also turned into energy flowed inside the boy's body.

That was not all, everything outside the dungeon, the bodies, statues, trees, and other things also became energy as they flowed inside the boy's body.

And finally, the dungeon turned into ashes and covered the boy's body, and made a thick layer over the boy's skin.

That all happen in just a couple of minutes. The boy was dumbfounded. He didn't even know what was happening.

The boy tried to understand his situation but he started to feel pain inside his body.

"Arrrrrrggggghhhhhh"

The boy screamed. The pain started to grow more and more intense. The pain was inhuman.

The tear started to flow from his eye, he gritted his teeth to withstand the pain but it didn't work instead his gum started to bleed.

The pain he felt was inhuman. He felt the inside of his body was burning, thorny needles were pricking his body, a hammer smacking at his bone and his whole body being burned.

The boy cannot withstand the pain as he fell to the ground. But he didn't let his consciousness lose.

The body understood that if he lost his consciousness then his life would be lost. But his mind, body, and spirit were all telling him to relax. As if they couldn't withstand the pain and were asking the boy to stop.

But the boy didn't give up. He used all of his willpower to keep his consciousness. The boy definitely knew that if he could withstand this pain, then he would gain an enormous amount of power.

Finally, the boy lost his will as his mind went blank. The boy used all of his wills but the pain was greater. But he still didn't lose his consciousness as he started to reminisce about his past to gain more willpower.

As I fall on the ground and my vision went blank, I saw a memory.

"Hear Alan. Those who have awakened their power and can become strong by defeating monsters or absorbing cores are called players."

A man in his thirties was telling me about the players. He was none other than my father.

"Why are they called player, papa?"

I was 6 years old kid, innocent without knowing the situation of the world.

My father hearing that smiled at me. "It's because like the player in the games, they level up defeating monsters and become stronger, we also level up and become stronger by defeating the monsters."

"Oh!" My eyes glittered.

My father looked at me and pat my head. "When you become 12 years old, you will also become a player."

"Really?!"

"Yes."

"Yay!!"

"Dinner is ready guys. Come."

My mother called from inside the kitchen.

"Oh, let's go and eat."

"Yes!"

My father carried me in his back and walked towards the kitchen and put me in one chair.

My mom, who is a beautiful woman and also is in her thirties, gave me food.

"Thank you, mom."

"Oh. Welcome, dear!" My mom smiled at me and patted my head.

We were a happy family. My father and mother were some of the strongest players in the world. They protected humanity from monsters. My father and mother were deeply respected in our neighborhood.

"Ok, say aaahhhh." My mother took a spoonful of soup from the bowl and reach out to me.

"Aahhhhh... mmm~ It's delicious." I ate the food.

"Really! Here's more." My mother happily fed me.

"Don't you want to eat from me too, Alan?" My father also took some vegetables in his spoon and reach out to me.

"Ahhhh." I ate that with a happy face.

"Nice Nice." My father also patted me in the head.

At that time, my life was going splendidly. I was in elementary school. I was popular as I was one of the cutest children in the whole school. Many teachers loved me. But there were many of those who were also jealous of me but because of my parents, they didn't dare to do anything.

But one day, when I was sitting in my bed with my father sitting in front of my face to face. It was like normal days.
