'I can't kill the Lich in time to cancel the Death Knight summon.' Alex thought, his brain gear tuning non-stop to think of a way to save his life.
Alex knew if he fought the death knight, his death would be guaranteed even with his boosted strength, and even if he used the upgraded Tenacity skill, it won't be of any help as it could only protect him against the mid-third Rank attack.
'My best fort is Mana.' Alex thought of an idea as he quickly canceled the darkness miasma field.
'I hope this works.' Alex thought as he used his Summon Elemental skill.
"Summon Elemental"
Alex used the summoning spell for the first time using 60K Mana which was ten times the amount of normal summoning while hoping to summon an elemental creature of peak third Rank because that was the only way he would have a chance against the death Knight.
After Alex used the spell, a large magic circle appeared in front of him on the ground, instantly turning into a calm circle of pitch darkness, but to his disappointment, it was not even half the size of the death knight summoning circle.
'It looks like today will be my first death.' Alex thought, knowing that if his summon couldn't help, then his fight again the death knight was lost for certain.
'Let's beat this bastard until the Dead Knight gets summoned.' Alex thought as he firmly gripped his sword and sprinted toward the Lich.
"KEKEKEKEKE....KAKAKAKAKAKA"
"HUMAN, YOU WILL DIEEEE." The Lich roared as he created a bone shield and laughed like a maniac.
"I plan to do you some damage, but now I have changed my mind," Alex said as he pierced his sword into the ground and charged toward the Lich barehanded.
Alex knew that the best he could do in a few seconds was chip away a few thousand points of Hp without using his strong skills, so he decided to pummel the Lich to at least enjoy his time.
The Lich was surprised by Alex's actions, but before he could even understand the meaning behind his words, Alex was right in front of him with his hand reaching for his neck.
"BOOM"
Alex smashed the Lich on the ground and then mounted on the Lich to properly throw some punches.
"FILTHY HUMAN, GET AWAY FROM ME." The Lich screamed as he swung his arm with the staff toward Alex.
"I wonder if you would feel pain or Humiliation if I punched you a few times in the face?" Alex said as he caught Lich's arm and placed it under his knee, and then he did the same with the other arm.
"I WILL SKILL YOU ALIVE."
"I WILL BURN YOUR SOUL."
"BOOM" x2
"This is fun," Alex said after throwing two quick punches on Lich's face stopping him from completing his threats.

Alex started throwing punches, not even caring for the damage, just enjoying punching the rotten face of the Lich and the enraged curses that the Lich threw at him.

"DROOOOOOOOOO"
After twenty-five seconds of throwing non-stop punches, Alex heard a booming loud noise, and looking to the side, he saw a creature of pitch darkness looking toward him which put a smile on his face.
The creature that got summoned was not the Death Knight but the Elemental summoned by Alex, and with a quick glance at the creature's stats, it placed a bright smile on his face.

The summoned elemental stood eleven feet tall with a body made from pure darkness, covered in solid heavy armor made from darkness, and he had a giant shield and a sword in his two hands.
'It looks like I am not dying today for certain.' Alex thought, but before he could order the elemental to come and attack the Lich, he saw the calm fool of darkness shrinking rapidly.
"You think your little puppet could stand a chance against my death knight?" The Lich said in a low voice and then started laughing like a maniac.
The pool of darkness slowly gathered toward the center and took the shape of a giant dome that slowly disintegrated into dark particles revealing a creature of true terror.
"GROOORRRRRRRRRRR" The creature roared toward the ceiling, which caused a slight tremor.
'I am Dead.' Alex thought, looking at the stats of the Death Knight.

The Death Knight stood at eight feet tall, wearing dark full-body armor covered in spikes, holding a great sword, and his eyes were oozing with darkness while his body released a heavy pressure.

'Defend Me.' Alex sent an order to his summon, seeing the Dead Knight staring at him and hearing the system notification.
"KILL THIS FILTHY ANIMAL," The Lich screed toward the Death Knight.
'Tenacity' Alex used the skill instinctively as he saw a dark shadow in front of him, and then he felt an impact on his chest, and the next thing he knew, he was zooming through the air like a missile.
"BOOOMMMMM"
'I would have been one shot without using the Tenacity skill and his help, but then again, I will still die.' Alex thought, looking at the dark giant right in front of him.
The summoned darkness guardian came in front of Alex and used his shield to take the full brunt of the Death Knight's attack, which sent him flying into Alex making them both zoom through the air and crash into the wall.
'I am not going die without at least doing some damage.' Alex thought as he eyed the staff in Lich's hand.
'Go and distract that knight and use just defense.' Alex commanded his summon as he stood up, ready to follow right behind his summon.
"YOU BRAINLESS IDIOT, DON'T ATTACK ME." The Lich screamed to the Death Knight as he got up after being flung around with Alex.
"BOOM"
The Lich got punched in the face by Death Knight, making him crash right next to Alex.
"GROOOOOOOOOOO" The summoned guardian charged toward the Death Knight like a mad bull with a door like the massive shield in front of him.
'This makes things easier.' Alex thought, seeing the Lich beside him while the Death Knight was busy ripping his elemental apart with his broad sword.
"It looks like your summon doesn't like your ugly face," Alex said to the Lich lying a few feet away from him.
'I will take this.' Alex thought as he quickly went ahead and picked up the staff and placed it into his inventory.
'It is not a bound item.' Alex thought after successfully placing the staff into his inventory.
A Player could steal items from other players and NPCs but doing so would make the Player get in trouble with the other party, and if he got killed in the next sixty minutes, the item would drop with certainty.
"YOU FILTHY HUMAN, GIVE ME MY STAFF BACK." The Lich screamed in horror, seeing Alex taking his staff right before his eyes.
"You don't need to thank me." Alex just said some bullshit to piss the Lich.
"Elder Darrien, Please take care of my equipments," Alex said, knowing after his death, he would drop the staff and one more item from his inventory.
Alex didn't plan to take help from his guardian to save his life, but he didn't have any problem asking for some minor help.
'You did good work, my friend.' Alex thought, looking at his element, which was just sliced into two halves, making him lose all his HP.
[Summoned Elemental has been Killed]
"KILL THIS BASTARD." The Lich roared, seeing Alex not intending to return his staff.
"SKELETON, STOP ORDERING ME, OR I WILL KILL YOU FIRST." The Death Knight spoke in his dry and hoarse voice, pointing his sword toward the Lich.
Alex was not surprised that the Death Knight could speak because any creature at the Fourth had the same intelligence as normal humans and summoned creatures were no different, so being able to talk was normal.
"Summon Weapon"
'Four Fold Thrust' Alex used the sword skill, aiming straight at the unprotected neck area of the Death Knight.
'I was hoping to land at least one strike.' Alex thought with a wary smile.
"Human, Give that bone staff to me, and I will let you leave this place alive." The Death Knight said after casually taking four straight stabs on his neck and receiving zero damage.
'What the hell is going on.' Alex thought, confused by the new development.
"If you want to decline, think twice about that." The Death Knight said as his hand got covered in gray elemental flame.
"YOU FILTHY KNIGHT, YOU ARE SUMMONED BY ME," The Lich roared as he stepped toward the death Knight, but before he got near him, his body was engulfed in gray flames.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
The Lich screamed in agony, rolling on the ground as the elemental flame burned his body while the Death Knight coldly stared at the Lich.
"If you don't want to experience the same fate, be an intelligent Ant and hand over the Lich staff to me." The Death Knight said as he threw another gray elemental fireball at the screaming Lich.
'I have seen some summoned creature going rouge and not listening to the orders of their summoner, but this is new even for me.' Alex thought, looking at the Lich and then at the Death Knight.
