Chapter 165 Golden Restaurant

After reminiscing for a few minutes, Lei Zhen shook his head and made his way toward Huang Jin Restaurant.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ Huang Jin basically means gold or golden, so most people would refer to it as the Golden Restaurant.

Reservations to the restaurant were hard, but for someone of Tang Qiaolian's status, there would always be a private room available for them.

Restaurants are a business after all, and having room reserved for the wealthy was a must and a common strategy to allow the wealthy to showcase their statuses in this corrupted world.

Of course, Lei Zhen wasn't going to group Tang Qiaolian as one of them since she had never flexed her wealth once, at least to him. He can't guarantee that she never did it to someone else nor would he bother to ask.

"Where's the place exactly though?" Lei Zhen muttered softly.

Given that he had not been here for approximately 10 years, almost all the streets were changed subtly.

The stores were no longer the same as what he remembered in mind, so he needed to take out his phone and open up a map to check for the direction.

And while Lei Zhen was like a lost lamb, another person had subtly entered the Guangzhou Plaza.

"Hmm, what a lively place. I wonder what kind of person Tang Qiaolian is meeting to have dinner." Cecile smiled wickedly.

She was out to investigate this matter personally. Otherwise, she would not be able to sleep after getting reprimanded by the major shareholders for their lack of achievement in recent months.

If it wasn't for the spy she planted on Miracle Wing, then she would have never expected Tang Qiaolian would be secretly setting up another dinner meeting.

She glanced around the streets for a good while before making her way to the Golden Restaurant.

With Cecile adamant about finding out the unknown factor, Lei Zhen finally made his way to the Golden Restaurant.

The restaurant was designed similarly to a royal palace, though the size was a bit smaller than the actual one of course.



Walking in, Lei Zhen was greeted by a lovely receptionist.

"Hello, Sir, what is your reservation?" The receptionist asked.

Before Lei Zhen could respond to the receptionist, a snarky voice came from afar.

"Oho, isn't this the Young Master Lei? What a real surprise to see you coming into this luxury place?"

'Where did this nobody come from? Can't his lines not sound so cringe?' Lei Zhen thought to himself.

Turning his head slightly, Lei Zhen saw a young man alongside some companions.





The young man thought Lei Zhen was glaring at him for his snarky comments, but to his disbelief, Lei Zhen next word shocked him thoroughly.

"I'm sorry, but who are you again?" Lei Zhen asked.

He thought it was someone from within the Lei Enterprise, but he was wrong. Not an ounce of familiarity could be seen when he was looking at him.

"Hmph, are you serious?" The young man slammed his fist at the table and said angrily. "Have you forgotten that we met at a banquet many years ago?"

"Still don't know who you are, but I can introduce you to an anger management therapist if you need." After saying that, Lei Zhen returned his attention to the receptionist.

"I'm here to meet with Qiaolian, Lei Zhen." He then introduced himself.

"Ah, so you're Sir Lei Zhen. Lady Qiaolian is waiting for you in the 3rd-floor private room." The receptionist was initially confused by their farce, but with Lei Zhen properly introducing himself, she would do her duty.

As for the young man that was clearly provoking Lei Zhen, she doubted he would dare to make a scene in the Golden Restaurant.

Lei Zhen nodded his head and made his way toward the staircase.

And being ignored so ruthlessly, the young man had an ugly expression hanging on his face.

"Fuck, that damn Lei Zhen is still an arrogant prick. How dare he forget me, Ivan Chen!" The young man proclaimed as Ivan Chen was furious.

Just when Ivan prepared himself to follow after Lei Zhen, another figure entered the restaurant and instantly attracted attention.

"Woah, who's this foreign beauty?"

"Damn, look at those long legs and her face."

"She seems to be looking for someone. Sigh, there goes my chances of getting a shot with a foreign beauty."

Some customers were thinking about befriending this new foreign beauty while some knew their limits and went back to eating their food, unwilling to let the devastating reality hit them that they are destined to have no girls.

Meanwhile, Ivan licked his lips as he changed his pathing to greet the woman.

"Hello, beautiful. Are you perhaps looking for someone?" Ivan tried to act cool and get her attention.

The foreign beauty was Cecile and upon seeing Ivan asking, she could tell what type of man he was. Nevertheless, this was a good opportunity to use him to gather information.

"Yes, I'm looking for someone." Cecile calmly replied. "Do you know which room Tang Qiaolian was in?"

"Lady Tang Qiaolian?" Ivan raised an eyebrow. His attitude quickly changed as he put on a more respected look.

"I didn't expect you to be the guest of Lady Tang Qiaolian. Her reservation room is located on the third floor."

"I see then. Thank you for the information." Cecile smiled slightly and proceeded to head toward the staircase.

At the same time, she sneered inwardly at how easy it was to deceive horny men like Ivan. She had merely enquired about Tang Qiaolian, and he mistakenly thought she was a guest already, saving her so many efforts.

Glancing at her back, Ivan sighed regretfully as he knew Cecile was out of his league. He might have some wealth, but that wealth wasn't even enough to grant him a private reservation room at the Golden Restaurant.

Thus, he could only remain on the 1st floor like most people around here, hoping to strike a social connection with the truly wealthy.

'Ah damn it, I forgot where that poor bastard Lei Zhen went.' Ivan cursed inwardly and returned to his own table.

While this was a small incident on the 1st floor, Lei Zhen had already arrived at the 3rd floor in which there was a room labeled Tang's Group.

"This is the place I guessed." He muttered softly.
