Chapter 211 Scorpade

"Master, are you alright?"

Panic surfaced on Candice's face when she saw Lei Zhen nearly fumble to the ground after seeing her status screen.

"Was my status screen too disappointing for you, Master?" She then asked nervously after lifting up Lei Zhen's arms.

'Disappointing? If that's disappointing, then I might as well dig a hole for me to lay in?' Lei Zhen screamed inwardly.

"No, your status screen is simply too amazing." Lei Zhen regained his composure and responded honestly.

If one saw the status screen of the two of them, then most people would believe he was the slave and not the owner.

The difference between their status was too vast.

Candice's status was the one that most players are striving for whereas he was bottom of the ladder board.

[Name: Candice

(Wisdom) Wis: 252

Glancing at her ridiculous status screen again, Lei Zhen would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of it.

She was a complete boss with those health points and mana points.

"Candice, were the people that invaded your clan extremely powerful?" Lei Zhen asked.

Candice bit her lip softly before nodding her head.

"They were strong, but not strong enough to capture me if I didn't wish to be captured." She replied in a deadpan tone.

Hearing that tone of speech, Lei Zhen apologized for asking such a sensitive question.

"Welp, I'm sorry about making you remember the past. So how about we hunt some monsters for you to vent your anger?" Lei Zhen then suggested.

And when he said "we", what he truly meant was her hunting them while he would assist in the backline.

Of course, Candice didn't think much about it and rapidly nodded her head to hunt some monsters.

She might not have said it in the past, but she was quite eager to vent some of her frustration.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ And what better target was there to vent when monsters are the enemies of every living being?

Sometime later, Lei Zhen found a decent spot to hunt in which no players were present.

"Alright, we'll begin our hunting here. I'll stun the enemy and you'll be the DPS, okay?" Lei Zhen said, feeling proud of using some gaming terminology such as DPS.

Dps basically meant damage per second, commonly used for the player or person that dealt the most damage to an enemy.

They are basically the main force for killing a monster, but that doesn't mean support-type people or players are useless because, without the support, a DPS would be helpless alone.

"I'm ready whenever you are, Master." Candice smiled brightly, her hand swinging around the staff that was provided by Lei Zhen.

For Candice, Lei Zhen decided to give her his best staff while he used an inferior one considering he would just be crowd-controlling the monsters whereas Candice would need the buff of the staff to deal even more damage.

It was an effective way of distributing equipment to a suitable person.

"Get ready, Candice. I see three monsters approaching us." Lei Zhen warned ahead of time when he saw his map indicating three red dots that were rapidly approaching them.

Candice nodded her head. "The more the merrier. Let us hunt a bunch tonight, Master!"

"I'm glad that you're enthusiastic about this," lei Zhen smirked and quickly cast [Rupture].

Right away, the sand from afar began to collapse as solid wood appeared above, capturing a hidden monster beneath the sand.

Magic was so awesome that it managed to create a new type of element even if there are no possible materials around their surroundings.

Hence, the monster was caught off-guard to be hit by wood when everywhere else is sand.

The monster was similar to a scorpion in appearance, but was larger in size and had three tails instead of one.

Naturally, the end of the tail was venomous, given its greenish color that drip occasionally in the sand, causing corrosion to appear.

Scorpade was the name of the monster, and in Lei Zhen's mind, it was a lazy naming sense from the creator.

It was basically a scorpion with the ion cut off and replaced with ade.

"They couldn't have come up with a better name huh? But then again, I'm guilty as well." Lei Zhen chuckled softly as he cast [Stun] on the remaining two Scorpade that thought they were slick enough.

If there was no such thing as the map function to indicate where the enemies were, then Lei Zhen was sure these Scorpade would have posed a threat to them.

Alas, the system was simply too overpowerful that even their camouflage skills were nonexistent.

As the three Scorpade were detained by Lei Zhen's broken skills, Candice gladly began her magic casting, sending out a barrage of flashy and rainbow skills.

The names of the skills?

Lei Zhen had zero clues because, unlike players that somehow always love to scream their skills out.

She merely cast them without a single word said.

A blasting sound occurred and the Scorpade original appearance instantly became hideous.

Given that two of them were grouped together, their venomous tail's poison actually dropped upon each other, causing their protective scale to corrode rapidly.

"Damn, talk about shooting at your teammate, this is literally called injuring your teammate." Lei Zhen commented.

The Scorpade appearance was so unsightly that Lei Zhen urged Candice to slay them quickly.

Candice nodded her head and waved her staff beautifully, almost as if she was doing a dance.

Numerous spells barraged the Scorpade again, and Lei Zhen soon gained a lot of experience points for their death.

His level quickly rose from 26 to 30, effectively hitting the 30 mark, and unlocking more skill sets in the skill tree section.

"Why did we not hunt from the beginning?" Lei Zhen wondered aloud when he realized it was just that easy to gain levels.
