Chapter 135 135 Bandits [Part 3]

"Here," Gabriel said as they ran into the darkness, large trees towered over them obstructing the sunlight, even though they wouldn't be able to see, they trusted Alex and dashed in.

[Shadow Camouflage]

As soon as Alex stepped in, he vanished out of sight, Gabriel and Max stopped and got behind a large tree but Alex was still at the entrance.

"What's he doing, they are going to see him once they are in" Max spoke.

"Shouldn't he hide somewhere, maybe he had a plan" Gabriel mumbled, immediately the first bandit dashed through thinking the group was still running forward but soon he felt himself falling.

As he ran Alex stretched one of his legs and the bandit tripped over and landed on his face, before he could fathom what was happening, a sharp pain pierced his neck.

Due to all the training he did with Jessica's golem, he was now accustomed to striking an opponent's neck. The golems he trained with could only be killed by removing their head, and even though he didn't train with his dagger he was used to it.

With another quick motion, Alex removed the dagger from the bandit's neck and struck again and again till he received a notification.

[You have killed Bandit!]

[You've earned 150 XP!]

Alex quickly stood up from the body of the Bandit but two more were already on him, both of them with swords in their hands, and the little light enabled them to see Alex killing their brethren.

Without a wasted movement both of them swung their swords toward Alex, Alex's daggers would be able to block the swords but it was too risky, if he missed the timing then it was over for him.

Instead of blocking despite the risk, Alex jumped backward to avoid the attack but there were two men, with them being as fast as Alex and more powerful than him, taking on two of them head-on was foolish.

*BAM*

The sound vibrated and echoed throughout the forest, the location unknown but they all knew what it was, one of the men coming towards Alex dropped to the ground.

"This is the best, I am the best" Lynx praised himself, he was currently on top of a large sturdy tree that could support his entire weight.

"Huh! Mark hey Mark" the second bandit shouted as he looked towards his dead comrade but that was probably the dumbest thing he could do in front of Alex.

He looked up toward his opponent but no one was there, Alex was just beside him but the shadow camouflage hid his presence and he was moving slowly without making a single sound.

"Bastard Assassin...show yourself, how dare you" the bandit shouted.

"Instead of thinking about me what about the marksman that just shot your friend" Alex spoke and the man bent down immediately.

He wasn't sure where the marksman was and he was still close to his dead friend so he was already in the marksman's range, the best thing he could do was bend down but Alex was just messing with him.

After killing the first bandit, Lynx was more focused on killing other bandits closer to him cause he knew Alex could easily take care of the other one.

"I can slit your throat from where I'm standing" Alex spoke again and this time the man stood up and dashed out of the dark location he was in but luck wasn't on his side today.

Alex had moved towards the other side while he worked on provoking the man till he finally ran away, if he had taken another route out he would be fine but the man knew about the other two, so his best shot at getting out was to run back to where he came from.

*SQUELCH!!*

The man grunted in pain as he slowed down he felt a sharp pain in his stomach but refused to look down, besides him Alex was standing there staring at him with one of his daggers in his hands, he wanted to swing his sword but his body didn't obey his command.

The sword in his hands dropped to the ground and finally the man dropped to his knees, he was still alive but Alex's demon blade was deep in his stomach and had already hit one of his vital organs.

"Humans are really fragile, I wonder why you guys chose to be bandits... it's a game so maybe they were programmed to be bandits" Alex mumbled as he walked towards the man.

The man was still alive struggling to breathe and Alex used his second dagger to finish off the man by slashing his neck.

*BAM*

Another loud sound echoed throughout the forest meaning Lynx had killed another bandit, the rest of the bandits were now scattered around the forest looking for them, though most of their attention was focused on finding Lynx.

"Alex where did you learn that," Gabriel asked.

"It's my first skill..." Alex answered.

"Let's move, we have no time to waste, I'm sure the bandit leader would have been on his way" Max spoke.

"What about the other guy Lynx right, do you know where he is?" Gabriel asked.

"I'll talk to him," Alex said.

[Hey Lynx, where are you]

Lynx had already sent Alex a friend request so both of them could talk to themselves through the system.

[I'm a little busy right now, I think one of them spotted me, but you guys have to move fast, the bandit leader is already moving away with the girls, I lost them so you guys need to hurry]

"We have to move, the bandit leader is already on the move," Alex said as he dashed forward, Gabriel and Max joined him.

...

"Damn these guys are really dumb, hiding at the back of a tree is the only thing they are good at" Lynx mumbled as he jumped down from where he was.

He had killed a total of 12 bandits since he climbed the tree and his location was now exposed so he had to move away, his flintlock pistol had a reloading time of 30 seconds before he could shoot again but he had something.

In the arena when Alex was on a killing spree, he managed to obtain a rare quality dual flintlock pistol from Niko who was sent to ambush Alex.

Niko's dual pistol used a different bullet from his current one so he had only five bullets remaining in the pistol when he took it, the pistol wasn't supposed to be in the Bronze continent so before he would be able to buy the bullet he would have to leave the continent.

The dual flintlock had a 30 second reloading time and it was good for close combat, Lynx was saving it in his inventory for when the need arises.

Lynx jumped down from the tree and quickly moves away, the bandits hiding behind the tree took another peek but Lynx wasn't there anymore, he quickly charged towards the tree in hope that he was still there.

[Are you going after the bandit leader?] Lynx asked Alex as he found another good spot to hide and aim any opponent that appears in front of him.

[Yes, how many of them have you killed, so we'll know what to expect?] Alex asked.

[I've killed 13 of them, including the marksman I shot first, make that 14 cause I've seen a new target] Lynx smirked as the bandit slowly walked forward looking for Lynx.

"These guys are really good for practice" Lynx mumbled as he narrowed his gaze, the bandit in front of him was still looking around searching for him when he pulled the trigger.

*BAM*

...

"Lynx is really helpful, now I know the use of a marksman, he had killed 14 of them," Alex said as the three of them ran forward.

"14...you have killed 3, so that means they are still 13 of them left" Max mumbled.

"I killed 3 of them with my fireball, so 10 of them," Gabriel said.
