41 Chapter 39 - Sloth

Returning back to reality, Father again locked me back up in his wall as if I were a decoration.

"It's done... I have all five human sacrifices," he said in joy.

"Oh really? Then what if I just committed suicide right now?" I smirk.

"I know you won't. Someone of your caliber will never do something so low. And even if you did, I know someone with enough qualifications, the Flame-Alchemist," he responded.

"Tch, how boring. So? How much time left?" I asked.

"Until spring. When the promised day comes, it will be the downfall of human civilization," he said.

*****

Fast-forwarding to spring, the promised day finally occurred. I heard Father being all excited and shit even though he didn't show anything on his face.

"You ugly tsundere..." I mutter.

"Did you say something Kyofu? Today's the day where you can finally be disposed of," he said.

"Shut up geezer! No one likes talking to the same person over and over for at least three years!" I snorted and replied.

'Either ways... Where's Ho- No... When's Hohenheim coming?' I thought.

In the original timeline, Hoheinheim was first to arrive to just lose. If it were him, I could be freed and escape my demise of being camped 24/7.

I didn't have much left on me. My weapons were still on me and thankfully, my clothes were still on, but going through the gate and doing nothing for almost three seasons made me forget.

'God damn it! I'm starting to forget who I am in this world!'

Truth made me slowly forget, however, if I stuck to one thing at my mind for countless times like powers and my plan, I couldn't forget it. However, even my superior senses were deteriorating. It seemed Truth did even more than just memories.

I raised me head up to finally see Hohenheim in a beaten state. He finds me of course while Father just got up from his throne, disconnecting himself from those medical pipes.

"Yo Hohenheim! Long time no see! How are the kids?" I said cheerfully.

"It's been long Kyofu. I've been looking for you ever since I left 11 years ago, but it seems you were hiding here," he commented on my bad state.

"It's a long story," I sigh. "This asshole of a guy decided to keep me as a prisoner even though your boys could go..."

"Let's get more into detail later, but I need to concentrate on something first," and Hohenheim's face became all serious.

"You're being so sullen even though we're in middle of a heartfelt reunion?" asked Hohenheim to Father.

However, Father just kept quiet the entire time.

"... You've gotten really boring... You used to be pretty fun, with all those emotions," said Hohenheim, reminiscing of his past when he was a slave.

"Lust, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, and Pride. They say that man has seven sins. Too much greed would certainly destroy one's self, but on the other hand, all of these emotions are absolutely necessary to understand other humans..." spoke Hohenheim.

"...Why did you let go of them?"

Father, without hesitation, surprised Hohenheim by using alchemy to bring him up. Hohenheim certainly was shocked, but he transmuted stairs to go down.

"No remorse? F.a.t.h.e.r?" I teased.

"You should worry about yourself later Kyofu, after all, you're going to be my magnus opus," said Father emotionless.

"Magnus Opus? What have you done to him! Respond to me! Homunculus!" shouted Hohenheim.

"Ever since I met Kyofu, I realized that even if I wanted to become God, there will be someone who can stand against gods themselves. So I made myself the strongest fighter... A Devil, you may say," said Father.

"Devil?" asked Hohenheim.

"In religion, the beginning always had a God. However, there will always be a counter balance, you may say. He's my counter, and so am I to him. And together... my enemy will become my strongest weapon!" he said.

The metal binding me slid off and I fell straight down.

"To control him... I needed a sin so powerful... that it would affect him psychologically. Taste this Hohenheim! My Sloth!" yelled Father.

"I'm really...fucking...tired...so I need you guys...to... shut up!" said Zhong Yuan.

Bringing out my sword and my gun, I propelled myself to Hohenheim in incredible speed. However, unlike the original Sloth, I was 100% accurate. So rushing, I land straight into Hohenheim's belly head first.

We landed at a wall and dust covered everyone's sight. Waiting for it to go down, all I saw was weird noised coming from Hohenheim.

*Blarghh*

"...Did I go to hard?" I said patting his back.

"You went overboard...my spine and my stomach are dying..." said Hohenheim weakly.

"There, there... why did you eat so much?" I wondered.

"I didn't... You hit me so hard that everything I had came out..." responded Hohenheim.

I jumped back to Father's side and waited further instructions.

"Good job Sloth... However, I can tell that Sloth is dying from the inside... Is your soul that powerful? Kyofu," said Father annoyed.

"Yeah! I can't recover most of my body's control... but so far, I have access to my mouth and some parts in my brain," I said cheekily.

"That's bad... I guess I'll have to keep you in check with some more souls..." sighed Father.

Father moved his arm and got his hand on my forehead. The moment he did, my forehead opened up and red souls entered inside, making it harder for me to take back control.

"You piece of shit... this won't work once you run out of souls..." I said.

"When that happens... you'll be entering me," responded Father,

"I won't let that happen, especially to my son's uncle," said Hohenheim under big pressure.

"We'll see about that!" said Father, going underground and coming back out behind Hohenheim, and stabbing him.

Seeing them fight, I could only mutter, "what a drag..."
