52 Chapter 49 - Megumin's Entrance and a New Home

"So... You guys are telling me you got an Archwizard that has only one magic that can be used once a day?" I asked angrily at Kazuma and Aqua.

"She didn't want to leave us!" Kazuma said nervously.

I sighed, "It's fine Kazuma, just don't do anything perverted."

"Perverted? Is the one holding me a pervert? Please help me... Get me off!" yelled Megumin as she flailed around on Kazuma's back.

"Stop moving so much! If you shake so hard, I might lose balance-!" said Kazuma.

As predicted, Kazuma fell down face first and Megumin landed on his back like those classic romance scenes.

"Kazuma... Wait until she's 14..." I looked disgusted at Kazuma.

"Wait! Wait just a second! That wasn't me who caused it!" shouted Kazuma trying to get off his predicament.

"I'm cutting off 50% off your salary this week," I said.

"Touma! I didn't raise you to be like this! Be nice to your big brother!" said Kazuma.

"Don't talk to me ever again..." I said and turned around to leave.

"TOUMA!"

Kazuma was wailing while reaching his hand to me.

Now, our little house was a bit too tight with four members.

Kazuma cleared his throat, "We have three- I mean, two girls and two boys so we should get a bigger house."

I stared at him while Kazuma started sweating.

"I agree! I always get annoyed when I hear Kazuma at night rustling and sniffing around," said Aqua.

Kazuma froze.

"Well... Starting tomorrow, instead of going out to fight, improve your levels and skills while I'll look for a house," I recommended.

"Wait... Aqua... What did you say a while ago-" said Kazuma

Megumin interrupted, "But if I don't shoot explosion magic once a day, I'll die!"

"Then I'll murder you right now... Onigiri free-loader," I said.

Megumin didn't talk no more.

"Well... Megumin can take over my bed tonight. I'll be going out and come back tomorrow morning," I said.

"Touma, are you going somewhere?" asked Aqua.

"I'll be leveling up. The store is always busy so I don't have much time to level up," I answered.

Aqua and Kazuma both started tearing up again.

"He's so reliable..."

Megumin was weirded out. Even her status as a Crimson Magic Clan member didn't change the fact that the scene was weird.

Everyone entered their bunk beds while I geared up.

"I'll be going out now!" I said, wearing my shoes.

"Have a safe trip!" said Aqua and Kazuma on their beds.

"Have a safe trip!" said Megumin nervously.

I smiled, "Thank you guys."

*****

On hill far away from town, a public cemetery for the poor was available.

I walked there because apparently, there was an evil spirit controlling the undead after their afterlife.

I could sense various minions rising and blue and white lights shone from the middle of the cemetery.

The numbers were increasing dramatically, so I rushed in to kill whatever that was controlling it.

"3 Concentrated Shot!" I yelled, shooting three handmade daggers.

I started practicing my smithing a while ago. Although it wasn't good quality as the items that were in my inventory, they were decent enough to kill the frogs.

"Ice Barrier!" yelled the controller.

"Stop right there-!" I said until I saw who it was.

It was the neighboring shop owner who always took secret glances at me.

"Was your name Wiz? The shop owner who's near my store?" I asked.

"Yes! That's me!" she replied.

I glanced suspiciously, "What are you doing here?"

"... Nothing..." and she averted her eyes from me.

"Oh really?" I asked and stepped on her magic circle.

"Stop-! Please stop-! This magic circle is used to send the wandering spirits to heaven! Look! The spirits are floating from the magic circle towards the sky!" she panicked.

As I raised my head up, I could see happy souls flying up. This changed my thought of her.

'She's so kind... I never encountered someone like her since I arrived.'

"I'll let you work in my shop," I said gently.

"Uh, no. I'm fine! Please stop pitying me-!" said Wiz while I patted her shoulder.

"It's fine... You can work under me as a chain store," I said.

"I said I'm fine-! I'll sell my own products and one day make a success!" she responded.

'She's hardworking too... She's the nicest girl I've met,' I thought.

"By the way, aren't you a Lich? Why are you sending spirits to heaven? Aren't like priest supposed to do that?" I wondered

"Be, because... as a Lich, I could hear the voices of the spirits wandering in the world. Most of these spirits don't have the resources for a proper burial, so they couldn't move on to the afterlife. So periodically, I sent the children on their way," Wiz said.

"Don't worry! I have an Archpriest in my party so I can send her to do that for you!" I helped.

"Really! Thank you!" said Wiz happily.

"That's nice and all, but what about the zombies?" I asked.

"Oh those! They rise automatically due to my magic..." she said.

"Will it be fine for me to kill them?" I asked.

"Please! Go ahead," she said.

That day and on, I got myself a zombie spawner.

"Uhhhh... It takes so long to get more SP," I said out loud.

"Yeah..." said Kazuma in his own bed.

After meeting Wiz, I later looked around for houses. There were some pretty good ones, but I didn't any of them.

"Why don't you just buy one?" suggested Kazuma.

"Kazuma... Sometimes... you're a genius," I said.

After gathering up all the funds we had, I decided to buy a simple modern house. Of course, the price of a house should be expensive, but removing some accessories like electricity and other, it wasn't that much.

[Gold Achieves ??? = ??? of Gold] - Lv.2 -> Lv.3

The house's layout was simple. A living room connected to the kitchen, stairs going up to a hall way with five doors. Four of those doors connected to our own rooms and the last door was a huge bathroom.

We were all setting up our rooms. Buying what Kazuma wanted, I bought him a bunch of pornographic books for him and a game console that charged through solar energy.

"Is that enough?" I asked.

"That will be enough. For tonight, don't enter my room," he said while locking his door.

I sighed, "He never changes..."

Aqua and Megumin's room was normal. The only exceptional thing was that Aqua had a cabinet for her alcohol and Megumin had a bunch of cosplaying outfits and chuunibyou things.

"You guys are so weird..." I said.

"Says you! You invested the most money into your room compared to everywhere else!" Aqua said.

Sometimes, she was right on mark.

"Stop lying Aqua. The only reason why my room has more is because you earned less," I said.

My room was indeed fancy. Since I always got bored easily, I decided to buy a bunch of light novels . There was also a hammock and my bed was a huge king sized bed.

"Let's not talk about our rooms. Everyone! Go to the living room and hangout while I make dinner!" I yelled.

"Kazuma is still in his room," told Megumin.

"I know. I'll bring him out later so go down," I responded.

The thing Kazuma invested the most was his porno. The second thing he invested the most was his doorknob. It was super durable, needed a number lock, a key, and a finger print scan.

"Kazuma, get out!" I knocked his door.

Kazuma didn't respond.

"You're asking for it!" I said.

I took out an ordinary katana I made and activated the skill Iai.

The door was instantly sliced into two pieces and Kazuma was seen holding a porn magazine.

"Wait! Wait! Get out of my room!" Kazuma yelled pissed of.

"If you don't get out... I'll sell all your porno..." I said calmly.

In Kazuma's eye, I looked like a demon.

"Ok! I'm heading out so don't do anything with them!" shouted Kazuma, as he ran downstairs.

"Jesus... I'll have to buy a new door," I said out loud.

*****

That night, I made hamburger steak for everyone. Kazuma was crying because he hasn't eaten anything from Japan for a while. After everyone finished their meal, I discussed to them about our living issues.

"Kazuma, do you want to return to Japan?" I asked.

Megumin froze.

"No-! Don't leave me please! I've just made new friends and a party so don't leave me!" said Megumin who tried to strangle.

"Don't worry. That will take a while so sit back down," I said to Megumin.

'He looks like a demon...' thought Megumin.

"I guess I do?" said Kazuma.

"Okay. Then, starting tomorrow, we'll be heading out for the to farm experience. Also, get more party members, but don't bring them home!" I said.

"Aren't we an okay party right now?" said Aqua.

"I'm not gonna party with you guys with my schedule. I'm busy managing the store during the day while I hunt at night solo. Get yourselves a tank or something. A priest, wizard, and a jack of trades is bad," I crushed their dreams.

"Okay..." said everyone else listlessly.

"Kazuma, I'll teach you some skills later afterwards so leave your new door open," I said.

"Okay... Touma..." said Kazuma, sad that his door didn't last very long.

*****

I started teaching Kazuma my own skills. Since teaching him SAO skills were pretty expensive, I decided to teach him first some very ordinary skills.

"You're going to learn stealth, enemy detection, and shot today," I told Kazuma.

Stealth was simple and costed only 1 SP to Kazuma. Enemy detections was a bit hard to understand but Kazuma somehow did it for 1 SP also.

"Hey... Shouldn't these skills cost more?" he asked.

"Don't bother asking, I couldn't find out anything," I said.

Shot was a bit more expensive. It costed five SP points and the materials needed to use it were quite expensive. However, with my supply of money, I could buy any ore and simply make the weapons.

Kazuma was adjusting how to throw my weapons I gave while I took out 20 handmade daggers.

"Kazuma, put this in your inventory. Tomorrow is the big day after all," I said.

"Tomorrow? What's going on tomorrow?" he asked.

"You didn't know?"

"Huh?" said Kazuma.

I smiled, "It's cabbage season."
