Chapter 154 Impeccable

Gently, the lofty modern buildings of the city began to recede in the distance as they delved farther and farther away from civilization. Xzavier fixed his eyes on the window. They were on the outskirts of town and seemed to be heading out of the city. Then all of a sudden, without warning, the coach drive wheeled the horse-drawn vehicle off the main road, leaving a cloud of dust behind them as they plunged into a hidden path that led into the forest.

The road wasn't as bumpy as Xzavier had assumed it would be. For a path in the forest that seemed to lead to nowhere, it was actually paved for carriage rides. Xzavier had always been a fan of the countryside. The fresh air, the serenity, the vegetation and the noiseless atmosphere sat well with his personality. They travelled further in to the forest for about another half hour or so, until finally, they arrived at their destination.

The coach driver pulled up on a magnificent castle that seemed to come out nowhere. It sat on a large expanse of land like an island in the middle of the sea, completely surrounded by nothing but lush vegetation and the towering canopy trees of the forest. As Xzavier looked on, he couldn't help but see the ingenuity of Quaid in his choice of this location. Here, in the middle of nowhere, if powerful men wanted to do really bad things to little girls, they could shamelessly do so freely, without having to worry about their screams being heard.

Quaid must have really gone through a lot to keep this place hidden. Of course such an establishment was common place in this era. Several rich nobles owned and indulged in popular brothels. But since Quaid was the governor and a political figure, it made sense that he would like to distance himself from this profane practices. He had to maintain some semblance of virtue as a leader. He knew that Quaid's clientele must be exclusive. It had to be, otherwise it would defeat the whole purpose of anonymity.

As Quaid looked on at the magnificently huge monument, Quaid saw him admiring it and, and couldn't resist the urge to declare proudly;

"Breathtaking right?! She's truly one of a kind." Then, in an exuberant manner, he added; "Welcome to Princy Castle! The largest castle in the entire area! I assure you, you would never find any other castle in this category."

Feigning interest, Xzavier whistled a shrill note as if he was impressed. "Wow, this must have cost a fortune."

Quaid made no attempt to conceal his pride and answered Xzavier arrogantly; "Several fortunes actually."

He guided Xzavier to the entrance, encouraging him on. "Come on, let's go in."

"After you Quaid, after you..."

Xzavier wasn't just being courteous by allowing Quaid lead the way. He had other plans of his own. As he walked behind Quaid, Xzavier began his own information gathering. This was supposed to be a reconnaissance mission anyway. Xzavier took note of the guards and the security. Quaid had spared no expense when it came to security. Xzavier took one single look at the guards in question and knew that they were trained killers.

It was obvious that these men were mercenaries. Quaid couldn't trust soldiers from his own ranks with keeping silent about this. But these mercenaries, Quaid knew that he could trust them because they were loyal to one thing only- gold. And as Quaid would have it, gold was something that he had in abundance. Gold was the only guarantee he needed. For these men were mercenaries, and mercenaries loved gold more than anything in their lives. This was all the understanding and assurance he needed from them.

The security was constant, all day and all night. No spot was left unguarded- both with physical eyes and magic. Taking deep note of all these contingencies that had been put in place by a very paranoid mind, Xzavier saw that as an outsider, gaining access here without permission was bound to be a fruitless endeavor. But that was only the outside.

As soon as Xzavier stepped into the castle, his jaw dropped in wanton shock. The interior- it was more beautiful than he could ever envisage! The decor was absolutely stunning! Xzavier felt like he had stepped into a fairytale dream! The style was Victorian, but the elegance was simply out of this world. Everything about this place screamed luxury and class! It was simply exquisite. Xzavier thought nothing could ever trump Spring in architecture and interior design, but everything about this castle was just impeccable.

It was as though the floor itself was a sea of glass. Xzavier thought it was marble itself, but the more he looked, the more he suspected that magic was at play here. It was just all too surreal. On the walls, large sized elegant portraits of semi-naked beautiful women hung in exquisitely furnished golden frames, towering over everyone, making it seem like a kind of sex museum or a nude art gallery. The furnishings were simply ethereal.

Xzavier didn't even know what some of the pieces were, but he knew that they were probably expensive and rare as well. The rails of the staircase that led up were coated and overlaid in gold. Making it look that it was a path or a ladder to some otherworldly realm. In some ways, it kind of was. The whole place had been prepared and artfully decorated to play on the human need for good things. There was food as well. Oh there was food. But that was the last thing on Xzavier's mind.

Everything here, every single thing could be called a work of art. The mind that had conceived this was nothing short of a genius. There was no denying it. Even as someone who was from a more advanced time, Xzavier couldn't deny what had been done with this place. Even without technology, it was still very ethereal.

Quaid watched Xzavier take it all in. He was glad when he saw the glint in his eyes as he took in the whole scene. It was truly "gawk-worthy."

"I told you Xzavier, this place is special. Actually I used to come here a lot while I was younger..." the governor had that dreamy look in his eyes as he reminisced on the days of his youth. "Oh yes, I did a lot of damage in this building. But alas, those days are long gone now."

He chuckled to himself

"Time has really flown by, I am now an old man now. But you Xzavier, young prodigies like you should come here often! Enjoy your youth you know, time is on no one's side!"

"You speak the truth governor."

Xzavier found out that Quaid was something of a demigod here. Hardly a minute went by without people saluting and hailing him. As they marched through the welcoming area that served as the lobby/common room, they came up on a hall way that led to a very conspicuous looking door. Quaid didn't knock. He simply pushed it open authoritatively and the door opened to reveal a very spacious room.

It truly seemed like every space in this castle was elegantly designed. This room in particular was beautifully decorated. The velvet rug and the lush decor made the room come alive with a sensual delight. The very space was a derivative of a hotel/brothel. On a golden plated table, with two throne like chairs beside it were mouth watering delicacies. There was a whole roasted turkey on the platter, surrounded by other appetizing side dishes that Xzavier wasn't completely familiar with. There were lots of apples and different species of grapes. And of course- there was wine.

All these things added to the general allure of the space. It was all so the customer could feel extremely at home, with all the pleasures the body could enjoy. The food wasn't just the only excellent thing. The size and design of the bed suggested that it wasn't just built for peaceful sleeping. The reinforced sturdy frame, as well multiple handcuffs pinned to the sides of the bed all suggested that customers didn't come all the way here to simply sleep in the bed.

The bed, bed frame, and accessories were designed for a night of adventure. To crown it all, there was even a mini pool in the right section of the really large room. It was all so supercilious to behold. The lighting in the room was one of a kind. Candles were strategically placed at regular intervals. And the view out of the window was simply extraordinary. It was nature's goodness as well as man's ever present need to explore and enjoy himself.

Everything was just pure goodness. It was all a delight really.

As Quaid watched Xzavier take in the entire space, a female servant came to the door of the room and greeted the both of them.

"Welcome most esteemed governor and baron. We're glad to have you here..."

Quaid waved his hand dismissively. This wasn't his first rodeo.

"Get on with it will you? The baron here is very anxious to see the line up! Bring them in!"

The servant bowed and retreated through the open door. A minute later, a stream of exquisitely beautiful ladies cat walked into the room in graceful slides. They were truly magnificent creatures. Their skin glistened like marble statues, making them look angelic. Xzavier was spell bound. He had seen beautiful women before, but not like this. These ladies resembled porcelain dolls, each with their own distinct style and aura.

They looked pretty damn good!
