Chapter 275 Julie's Secret
"I'll take this one." After Rose accepted the number 4 mission, Julie pointed her finger at the first mission on the page.
"And I'll take the third mission!" Ava exclaimed as she pointed her finger at their mission, which was to exterminate a group of goblins.
"Noted! First mission to Miss Julie and the third mission to Miss Ava." Elle immediately began writing and issued the first and the third missions to them.
Once she stopped writing, Elle looked at Julie and asked, "Miss Julie, might I ask why you decided to accept the first mission while the second mission is the higher reward?"
"No particular reason, I just feel like the first mission is the best for me." Julie calmly replied, trying her best to act normal.
'Why did you ask such a question!? I can't let Yuan know the truth that I'm afraid of freaking Spiders!' Julie cried inwardly, she didn't want Yuan to know that actually, she was actually afraid of Spiders.
And for this particular reason, she didn't choose the second mission even though the mission offered 20 gold coins more than the one she chose.
"Is that so? Anyways, here's the copy of the missions and I wish you the very best of luck." The receptionist said before handing them a copy of the mission.
"Although, I'm very confident in my strength but thanks for the 'good luck', though." Julie smiled at her before accepting the copies of the missions. Then she handed a copy of the mission to her sister Ava.
After accepting the missions, Yuan and his wife left the Hunter Association and made their way towards the city gate which was a few streets away from the Hunter Association building.n-/o./V))e)/L--B)-I/-n
While they headed toward the City Gate, they decided that first, they'd go to the location of the Troll that had been troubling the farmers and scaring off the livestock.
And once Rose slays the Troll, then they'll go for the next mission. Where Julie will have to eliminate the rogue wolves that have been terrorizing the farmers, not very far from the location of the Troll.
Unfortunately for them, the location of Ava's mission is on the other side of the city, in order to reach there they have to return to the city and cross it through the city gate or they have to take a detour to reach the location.
However, crossing the city might be time-consuming for them considering that they would need to form a line in order to get inside the city. Thus, returning to the city was not an option, so they decided to take the detour and set up a camp to spend the night.
They finally arrived at the city gate after a few minutes of walking; as usual, he could see a large queue of people and carriages on the other side of the gate waiting to enter the city.
They showed the mission copy to the soldiers patrolling the gate, and after they did, the soldiers allowed them to leave the city without issue.
Once they're outside of the city, Yuan turns to see his wives with a smile on his face and says, "Let's head to the location where the Troll is creating trouble for the farmers, is we don't do something quick then it will destroy the fields."
"Naturally, If the fields were destroyed by the Troll the the farmers would have nothing to earn their money and would die from starvation." Rose nodded, as the former acting head of the Pinebrook village she clearly understood what the farmers would feel losing their field to the Troll, which they'd put their blood and sweat to cultivate the fields.
"In that case, let's not waste our time and get moving, shall we?" Julie said as she was also worried about the farmers' safety.
"Julie is right. We should get going. The more we waste our time, the more the farmers will suffer." Yuan said with a serious look on his face before walking towards the direction where the Troll was located.
"Yes, let's get going." The girls nodded and followed him.
Trolls are gigantic humanoid giant monsters with massive proportions. Their bodies are supposed to be exceedingly powerful, and a typical iron blade will not even be able to penetrate the skin, let alone injure one.
Because of their robust body and tough skin, it's difficult to deliver substantial harm to them, and they also have a higher heat resistance, making fire-based spells ineffectual against them.
When dealing with a Troll, most hunters would form a party of four to hunt down a single Troll, as it's quite dangerous for a single hunter to fight against a Troll.
However, that's not necessary for Rose. With her Cultivation level as Spirit Warrior and a weapon that could easily pierce through a massive mountain in ease, she doesn't need any backup to fight and defeat the Troll. She alone is more than enough to deal with the Troll.
However, that is not to say that it would be easy to fight against such a monster with a massive body and strong physique, as a single slap from it would send Rose flying with its massive hand.

"Y-Young Lord! What happened to you?! Why there is so much blood on your crotch?!" The guard was dumbfounded when he saw Henrik return covered in fresh blood, he even forgot to breathe as the scene before him didn't make any sense.
Henrik's face turned ugly when the guard saw his current condition, he didn't want anyone to see him in his current condition however it didn't go as planned and the guard saw him covered in blood and buried.
"Keep your mouth shut about what you saw just now, you understand that?" Henrik halted his steps and turned to see the guard with a vicious look on his face, and said, "If I hear anything about this, then I'll personally remove that head of yours from your neck."
"I...I understood, Young Lord. My lips are tightly sealed." The guard quickly responded with a trembling voice, as he didn't want to lose his life for a pointless thing such as gossip.
"Good. Remember to keep your mouth shut."
"By the way, where is my father?" He then asked.
"Lord is currently busy discussing some important matters with some merchants from the Empire, he highly instructed us to not let anyone disturb his meeting." The guard said.
"Is that so? It's a pity that he's busy..." Henrik mumbled in a dazed voice, he didn't expect his father to be busy today at this hour.
"Oh well, I should go see Mother and ask her for some high-ranking potion to heal my injuries," Henrik mumbled to himself in a low voice before entering the mansion to look for his mother, and his servant Caden followed him inside.
"Fuck! The pain is making it harder for me to walk!" Henrik exclaimed with a pained expression on his face, which showed that he was in pain.
"Young Lord, do you need my help in walking?" Caden asked with a concerned voice, he couldn't keep looking at Henrik in pain and do nothing.
"No! There's no need. I can handle this much pain perfectly just fine."
"If you say so..."
However, Caden still worried about him as Henrik continued to walk awkwardly. Which looked quite funny, however, he didn't dare to laugh at him.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the mansion's enormous living room, and Henrik's gaze was drawn to a gorgeous woman sitting blissfully on a plush sofa, while a few servants massaged her shoulders.
"Mother! There you are..." Henrik immediately called out to her before approaching her with a pained expression on his face.
The woman immediately lifted her head after hearing the familiar voice of her eldest son, and as she did, her face immediately became grim and the atmosphere within the room became cold.
"Henrik! My son! What happened to you? Why there is so much blood on you?" The woman immediately stood up from the sofa seemingly shocked, startling the servants.
When the servants turned their heads, they were speechless after seeing the Young Lord Henrik's crotch was covered in blood and his face appeared to be swollen.
What could've happened to the Young Lord? Wasn't he going the bring the rumored unparalleled beauties home as his concubines? Why aren't they with him? A lot of questions appeared in the servants' minds.
"M-Mother... It's..." Henrik hesitates to say it in front of the maids, as he keeps staring between them and his mother.
Seeing her son acting so strange today, she turned towards the servants and said, "Servants, leave us alone for a moment."
"As you wish, Countess!" The servants slightly bowed towards Henrik and his mother before leaving the room.
After the servants left the room, Henrik's mother looked at him with a serious look on her face, and said, "Now that they've left, tell me what happened to you— Why are you covered in blood?"
Henrik nodded his head. "I-Its like this..." Henrik then began telling his mother about what happened to him when he went out to bring the rumored unparalleled beauties home as his concubines.
He told his mother everything—how the husband of those peerless beauties beat him at the Inn' and humiliated him before ruthlessly castrating him with a powerful kick.
"H-He did what?!" After hearing her son's account of what happened to him, his mother became enraged.
