After that close attempt from Dave, the match continued, but so far, none of the sides had been able to produce a goal.
It wasn't exactly fair to say that Unique FC were dominating the game, but anybody watching the match would know that Bilbeth Premier League side looked more confident with the way they were moving the ball around, FC Basel seemed to be a bit disoriented, and were trying to get that confidence back into their play.
Henrique moved down the right wing with the ball and just before Roland could get to him, he quickly shifted the ball to the attacking midfielder in the middle.
The midfielder got hold of the ball, and without hesitation, he sent it rolling to Reto who quickly shifted it to Hans who was near the edge of the box now.
Hans didn't even think twice before he fired the ball toward the goalpost, the shot had a pretty heavy power on it, but unfortunately, it went directly toward Dave who didn't have any trouble stopping it.
"Oh, that's not troubling anyone," Jim said.
As everyone moved away from the box area, Dave dropped the ball on the edge of the box inside the eighteen-yard box before he slowly took three steps backward.
'If I try a direct shot and the goalkeeper doesn't touch it, then it wouldn't be a goal, and I would just be gifting them the ball.' He said subconsciously before he quickly closed up on the ball and sent flying into the pitch.
The ball was sent flying toward Minino who had to fight for the ball with the midfielder, he ended up winning the ball somehow before quickly pushing it to Frankie who feigned going through the middle before he quickly turned and passed the ball to Mateo.
"Mateo."
The winger had space to run due to two of the midfielders being dragged out of the way by his teammates, but he had to deal with the other defensive midfielder as he got closer to the box, but instead of trying to dribble past him, he pushed the ball to Fredinho who tried to dribble past the players in front of him, the center backs before pushing the ball back to Ferran which was the safer option.
Ferran quickly moved the ball toward the right to get away from the defensive midfielder heading toward him before he passed the ball to Carlos on the right wing.
"Carlos."
The winger slowly approached the left back with the ball and once he saw his legs open wide enough, he quickly put the ball past him through his legs before zooming past him to receive it at the other side.
"Nicely done by Carlos, can he find someone in the box?"
Instead of looking for someone in the box, Carlos decided to look for someone outside the box just at the edge.
The winger quickly floated the ball over to Ferran at the edge of the box, the home side had made the mistake of leaving him unmarked while they were securing their box as the attacking midfielder got his foot on the ball and sent the volley flying toward the right side of the goalpost with just enough shot power and elevation to make it a goal threat.
Filip dived toward the ball and for some second there, it looked like he was going to miss it until he pushed it out with the tip of his gloves.
"Oh, what a save from Filip!" Jim exclaimed.
"Really close call from Filip but now they have a corner kick to deal with," Steve said.
"That was close," Dave muttered from his goalpost.
Ferran quickly picked up the ball and moved it to the corner area and now, all he was waiting for was for the referee to blow his whistle.
After making sure everything was ready, the referee blew his whistle as the midfielder slowly took two steps backward before he quickly closed up on the ball and sent it flying into the box.
Fredinho managed to jump higher than everyone but jumping the highest didn't mean you were going to get the ball into the goalpost with your head as the striker's effort went flying over the bar.
"And that header has gone flying over, wasted effort," Jim said.
The match continued with FC Basel slowly starting to regain their confidence and that resulted in them attacking more, but despite that, they weren't able to deal any serious blows on the guests as they were keeping up with their attacks.
The only person who was able to cause some trouble was Henrique.
The right winger had fired four shots toward Dave's goalpost, only two of them were on target, but those two were close calls.
The first one came from a ball floated over from the top toward him as soon as he got into the box.
He waited for the ball to get in front of him before he sent the volley flying toward the goalpost from below.
Dave reacted quickly to stretch his right leg and block the ball and as for the rebound, it was quickly cleared by Aima.
The second one came from a brilliant solo effort from the right winger.
He threw Roland off with nice body feints to get into the box, he feigned shooting toward the goalpost to put Aima on the floor and move out of the way with the ball, and just before Adolf could try stopping him, he fired the ball toward the left side of the goalpost with just a little bit of elevation.

Dave had to activate his ball magnet to make sure he caught the ball as there was a lot of danger lurking around the box waiting for the rebound.
With the help of ball magnet, he got to the ball and caught it without spilling it.
Right now at the forty-second minute, FC Basel were still pushing for a goal, they had more ball possession than Unique during these last few minutes of the match.
"Three minutes before the first half comes to an end, is there going to be a goal before that happens?"
Unique FC weren't giving the hosts any breathing space as they were aggressively chasing the ball to try and recover it and that was what led to a mistake from one of the attacking midfielders whose pass to Hans was quickly swept off by Adolf with a tackle before it could get to him.
"Nice interception from Adolf."
As soon as the center-back got up with the ball, he found Mateo on the left wing and sent the ball flying over to him.
The defensive midfielder from the back quickly got to the winger and tried to take the ball off him with a tackle but before he could do that, Mateo quickly moved to the side with the ball before he turned and quickly turned and took off down the wing.
"Mateo's heading down the wing with the ball, this could be their chance to do something." Jim expressed. You could tell how the excitement in his voice was slowly rising.
As he got closer to the box, he pushed the ball to Ferran who quickly returned it to him as soon as he entered the box.
The winger was in a good shooting position now but there was no time to waste.
"This could be it, Mateo's through on goal."
"Mateo!"
Everyone expected him to shoot, but the winger found Fredinho entering the box at a fast pace and quickly laid the ball off to him.
"I thought he was going to shoot but he's passed it," Jim said, sounding quite confused.
