Chapter 4

Early the next morning, Harry’s phone rang.

After a sleepless night, he picked up his phone in a daze. When he saw that it was his roommate, Daniel Collins, he answered.

“Hello, Daniel. Why are you calling so early?”

“Harry, didn’t you read the group messages yesterday? It’s Ms. Ellie’s birthday today. The students are planning a birthday party for her. Everyone’s here early in the morning. You, Chloe, and Freddy are the only ones left.” A puzzled voice came on the line.

Harry slapped his head at that. How could he have forgotten that it was Teacher Ellie’s birthday?

Teacher Ellie had just graduated with a master’s degree when she took their class. Because they were about the same age, she got along well with the students in her class. She was their teacher, but they were more like friends.

After she found out about Harry’s situation, she took even more care of him. Harry was the first person she thought of when there were any good benefits in school. After hearing that Harry was working part-time outside, she called him to inquire about his safety every day. She even went straight to the place where he worked part-time to check, afraid that he might be deceived by others.

Sometimes, she was afraid that Harry’s nutrition was not sufficient. When she cooked at home, she would pack a portion and send it to him. If it were not for the difference in gender, she even wanted Harry to stay with her so that she could take care of him.

She had helped him on many occasions. In Harry’s heart, Ellie was not a teacher. She was more like an elder sister, a family member, who gave him the warmth of a home.

However, after experiencing his girlfriend cheating on him and suddenly becoming rich last night, he had completely forgotten about this matter, let alone read the group news.

Since it was Ellie’s birthday, he might as well buy her a present. He had money now anyway.

“Daniel, you help me to apply for leave later. Say I have something on.”

With that, he hung up before Daniel could say anything. After getting out of bed and washing up, he rushed to the Sisar Mall.

Half an hour later, Harry got out of the taxi and looked at the Sisar Mall in front of him. He was very emotional. He had never expected to be able to spend money here one day.

The Sisar Mall was the largest mall in Litho City. Luxury brands from all over the world gathered there. Those who could come here to spend money were all famous people in Litho City.

Since he was buying a gift for Ellie, he naturally couldn’t choose something too bad. And this was the best place. He could buy any luxury goods he wanted.

After entering the Sisar Mall, he was thinking about what gift to buy when he remembered that Chloe had left him because of a bag. Then he might as well buy a bag. Girls shouldn’t be able to resist luxury bags, right?

Making up his mind, Harry headed straight for Dior’s.

This was a world-famous luxury shop. The things inside were very expensive, but it also attracted many rich people to spend on them. It was not because the things were useful, but mainly because they were prestigious.

“Hello, sir. How can I help you?”

As soon as he entered the Dior store, a salesperson inside greeted him warmly.

However, after seeing Harry wearing street goods, although she still looked polite on the surface, her eyes were filled with disdain. She thought to herself that he was another poor fellow who had come to broaden his horizons. What a waste of my smiles.

Dior, being a world-famous luxury brand, would naturally attract many people to come and enrich their experience, and Harry was such a person in her heart now.

Harry took no notice. He had seen such looks since he was a child and was used to them. He said calmly, “I want to see the bags. Can you show me?”

After all, this was his first time at Dior. He looked at the bags now and he did not know how to choose at all. He could only ask the salesperson for help.

However, the salesperson’s attitude became extremely cold. After rolling her eyes at Harry, she pointed to the side and said, “The bags are all there. Go and see for yourself, but don’t touch them. You won’t be able to afford them if you break them.”

Harry frowned and was about to speak when the salesperson suddenly looked obsequious and her attitude changed 180 degrees. She bypassed him and headed towards the door. “Mr. Dylan, you’re here. What are you going to buy today? Is this your girlfriend? She’s so beautiful.”

Harry turned to see a tall, good-looking woman approaching with a man on her arm. Her huge boobs rubbed against the man from time to time.

“Hehe, Mary, this is my girlfriend, Karen Cooper. I happened to pass by today and thought I’d bring her here to buy a bag,” Dylan Walker said with a smile as he wrapped his arm around the woman.

Harry, on the other hand, looked thoughtful. He thought the woman was familiar. After a moment’s recollection, he said, “You’re Karen from Litho High School?”

Karen looked in Harry’s direction at that, then exclaimed, “Harry? Why are you here?”

Karen was Harry’s high school classmate, but at this moment, there was no joy in meeting her old classmate. Instead, her eyes were filled with disdain.

Ever since she was in the same class as Harry, she had looked down on him the most. He had no power or influence and was an orphan. Harry was worse than a dog in her eyes.

“It’s me. I didn’t expect to see you here.” Harry smiled.

But Karen ignored him. She turned to Mary Brown and said, “Mary, your shop is really kind to let a beggar in to beg. But won’t his sour smell affect your business?”

With that, she covered her nose with her hand.

Mary had been a salesperson at Dior for so many years, so she was naturally not a fool. Hearing this, she immediately turned to look at Harry. “Sir, if you’re not buying anything, then please get out quickly and don’t affect my guests.”

Harry was displeased. ‘Do I have to buy anything when I’m in your shop?’

He said coldly, “This is the first time I’ve seen a shop that chases people away. Is this how you treat customers? Am I not a customer?”

Hearing Harry’s words, Mary was about to speak when a young salesperson came up and said, “Mary, go and greet the two guests first. Leave this customer to me.”
