Sitting next to the guild agents, Ryan Whitemane was flipping through the elven-dwarven dictionary while looking at the instruction manual he had found with Nivia. He was switching his eyes between a page of each of those books, on the lookout for a way to get those sentinels stocked.
'I think I found it'
<That sounds about right, let's give it a try>
So he held out one of the controller boxes and channeled his mana, tapping the top of the crystal that was in the center of the golden box he issued the command. "Hiktoziak", the sentinels then knelt down four rows of five, the crystal body of those puppets began to melt, until the cores in the center of those creatures foreheads and their bodies were sucked into the center of the box.
The dark forest was then illuminated with the glow of that magical dwarf tool. An intense flash appeared as the box vibrated and flashed with a blue light. Now all those crystal sentinels were stored in a simple ten-inch box that could be stored in inventory.
<That's a pretty handy system>
'That was simpler than I imagined' Storing that box in his inventory, Ryan finished signing the guild papers and documents. "Where's the rest of the group?" One of the agents said, handing the documents to him. "They used a teleport to escape the challenge" Ryan replied.
After a few minutes, the guild agents began to remove their equipment. "Thanks for coming back here with the documents, it would be tricky to search for your colleagues" one of the agents said, all the others nodded in agreement, "Yeah. I hate how some travelers make our service difficult" another replied.
"Really? Well that's quite an important info. Thanks for the talk guys" he said, as he clicked on his teleport clock. The guild agents said their goodbyes and Ryan was thrown back into the guild's underground base. 'it's better to take off this cloak' he thought.
<Why? It fits quite charming with you> Nyx said, annoyed.
Stowing the cloak in his backpack, Ryan had a worried look on his face 'They ran out to see your friend, I don't want them to understand that I stayed there just to loot alone'. Seeing her master's eyes was answer enough for her, leaving a small smile on the succubus' face.

'I am a bit explosive, and childish' he thought, as he walked through the corridors of the underground base. The place was now much busier 'It really is livelier here at night' Ryan concluded, as he watched a group of travelers laughing and chatting. There were three warriors with torn clothes and bodies soiled with dirt.
"Did you see when I decapitated that lava mammoth?"
"Yes, but I almost died with his helpers.
"Come on, you two would have died if I hadn't healed you"
Looking at those three travelers created a certain heaviness in Ryan's heart.

On his way to the medical care center, Ryan passed through a glass hallway overlooking the training area. Damian was practicing his sword attacks against a flying snake puppet, "I guess that defeat really took over his head" Ryan said aloud to himself.
Behind him, John Wrynn said "Some people can't handle defeat that well, Whitemane". Moving closer to the glass, the regional guild officer continued "Some only learn by stumbling to the success, while others learn by looking to the fallen" one of John Wrynn's eyes was glowing with a golden light.
"They are waiting for you at the health facility, after it, I need to talk to you" then John's footsteps moved away, that sound diminished as Damian's screams increased again. 'Stumbling to the success...' he thought, as he continued on his way.

Extending the palm of his hand, Ryan opened the door with the fingerprint reader.
A robotic voice said "Digital recognized: Ryan Whitemane"

The room was a little cold, but nothing compared to the red portal he had just exited. The room wasn't that big, having a few chairs for waiting and an information desk, moving over to the desk, Ryan searched for the hunter. 'If I put his name in here... That' He thought, 'Roy is here'. After pushing the button that called for one of the nurses, he sat down in one of the waiting chairs.

Pulling his cell phone from his bag, he opened the conversation with Lyza.

[Ryan]: the portal was really strange, we had to kill an ice ruler, one blue dragon, a horde of goblins, orcs and snow apes to finish it. But it was a low level red portal
[Lyza]: Hmm... That's quite strange, if it was a low-level red portal... Just the first boss would already be enough to finish the challenge. Even mid-level red portals don't have two bosses...

<You really tamed her> Nyx said, bending down to look at Ryan's cell phone, 'I didn't think she would get this loving. Then a nurse appeared in the room "Whitemane, may you follow me?" He quickly got up and followed the nurse, past the waiting room, there were several rooms that catered to travelers. This created a suspicion in Ryan 'We need to investigate this later' he thought. The corridor had several rooms, but after passing through only three doors, he was in front of Roy's room.
Ryan found himself in a waiting room, there were two armchairs and a table. Another door led to Roy's bed, with his face covered in tears, Ruri and Ryan's eyes met. "You came" she said, getting up from the armchair and hugging Ryan. Her voice was shaking, crying into his shoulder, she said "You... If it wasn't for you he would have died... Thank you, thank you for saving my friend." Then closing his arms he hugged her.
Moving closer to one of Ruri's ears, he said "I'm glad that I could help. These words were comforting to her, the shaman felt her heart warm with a sense of security. Drying her own tears, she looked into Ryan's red eyes, "Let's go inside." He agreed with his head.
Kodiak's face was serious as he looked at Roy, the boy was asleep, lying on a bed as he received blood from one of his arms. There were four healing talismans on the archer's chest, and on his legs, a worried white panther was sitting. Snowy was looking intently at Roy's face, even though he was only a giant cat, everyone in the room could understand her feeling.
Nivia was sitting in a chair next to the bed, her normally neutral gaze was now a little depressed. The druid then turned around at the sound of the door, "Ryan... It's a relief to see you." The two exchanged a handshake, "What's Roy's status?" he said as he looked down at the bed.
Sighing, the druid replied "He'll be fine, but the news is not so good." Again, Ruri controlled herself not to fall into tears, but even with great difficulty, she still had her eyes completely filled with water. "The healing magic you applied alleviated the blood loss quite a bit. Nivia's healing helped close the internal wounds, but the arrow that went through his elbow completely destroyed the functionality of his hand..." Kodiak said, as he closed both of his eyes. His voice was a little shaky with pity "Only a supreme healing magic could fix this... The doctors are waiting for him to wake up to receive confirmation if they can remove his arm and put him in the queue to talk to a supreme healer."
Seeing Roy's state caused a different feeling to rise in Ryan's chest, seeing the defeat of an ally made him recognize several immature ideas he had. 'Lyza was right, if I had entered a portal like that... My end would be worse than Roy's'

'You're right, but I need to become stronger.
